No knowledge of hybrid pacifica We bought a brand new Pacifica hybrid from Palmen 5 months ago and have already had the check engine light come on 3 times for the same error code. Palmen service has been unable to give a satisfactory answer to the problem even after my insistence that they inquire further with Chrysler corporate. They claim that they haven’t sold very many hybrids so they don’t have any experience with working on them. I understand that fact, but I find it hard to believe that nobody in the Chrysler organization can give further input as to what to do to resolve a check engine light from coming on so frequently. I was told after the third instance that the issue is because I haven’t kept the vehicle plugged in during the sub zero weather. I agree that the battery is not going to operate efficiently at all in that kind of weather, but why the check engine light every time the weather gets too cold? I find it hard to believe that Chrysler would sell a vehicle throughout the continental US and in Canada that can’t be driven in the cold weather without being plugged in the moment the vehicle is turned off. The infrastructure doesn’t exist for this yet and it’s rediculous to think that a people moving vehicle like a minivan can’t be used for daily life just because the weather is cold. I feel as though there must be another explanation and Palmen doesn’t seem to care enough to dig further into the issue. I’ll be taking the vehicle elsewhere for service in the future and won’t be purchasing any further vehicles from them. More
Oil change and tire rotation I had called twice, once on Friday afternoon and once on Saturday morning to set up an appointment for Monday. Both times I left messages and neither I had called twice, once on Friday afternoon and once on Saturday morning to set up an appointment for Monday. Both times I left messages and neither call was returned. Totally frustrated, I finally went online to make the appointment but I was not able to get in as early as I wanted to. When I arrived for my appointment , I informed the associate of the issue that I had trying to make the appointment. It turns out that the associate that I was connected to on Friday was off that day and the one I was connected to on Saturday was off THAT day. I suggest that your operator be familiar with who is and who is not in the office so that she/he can ask if someone else can help if the person the customer asks for is not in More
