Review for Ford Palm Springs Service Department Generally speaking, the service personnel at Ford Palm Springs have always been friendly, professional, respectful, and helpful. Howeve Department Generally speaking, the service personnel at Ford Palm Springs have always been friendly, professional, respectful, and helpful. However, my recent experience with a warranty repair on my 2022 Ford Maverick’s transmission left me disappointed. After a little over a week, the paperwork for a courtesy vehicle was being finalized, and a Ford Bronco was brought out for me to use. I thought this was a very nice gesture. However, as the process was being completed, the Bronco was suddenly pulled away and replaced with a Ford Escape. The staff member informed me that the Service Manager had switched the vehicles. This unexpected change made me feel devalued and, unfortunately, discriminated against due to my race. I chose not to file a formal complaint at the time because I feared potential retaliation and desperately needed the courtesy vehicle. When my vehicle was returned about a week later, it had a strong smell of transmission fluid. I mentioned this to the person who delivered my car, and they confirmed they smelled it too. Unfortunately, the odor has persisted despite leaving the windows open for several days. As a rideshare driver, this issue has prevented me from working, as I know passengers would likely leave complaints that could harm my rating—something I've seen happen to others with severe consequences. I hope Ford Corporation can address these two concerns: the treatment during the courtesy vehicle process and the unresolved odor in my vehicle after the transmission repair. I truly appreciate Ford’s commitment to customer service and look forward to a resolution. More
. Where is the NEGATIVE 5? Consumer Beware! I have never felt like I needed to leave such a review for any business. But in this case, I will never bring my car back to Palm Spring Ford (aka Palm Springs Mo felt like I needed to leave such a review for any business. But in this case, I will never bring my car back to Palm Spring Ford (aka Palm Springs Motors) for service. My check engine light came on and I took it in to figure out why the light was on. After several days in their possession, I was told it was an issue with emissions. I was originally quoted $198, but after several days, I was requoted close to $800. During this time, they also found there were 2 recalls that needed to be fixed. One of them was a rattle in the door that required the door latches (per my invoice) to be replaced. After some back and forth and against my better judgment, I decided to pay the $800 and get my car out of there. As soon as I got in my car and traveling down the road, I noticed there was now a rattling coming from the left door that was not there when I originally dropped off my car. Also, the door handle was lose. I returned the car back that same day due to the additional issues that my car did not have when I dropped it off the first time. As soon as I got there and explained the noise and handle issue, I was told they were not responsible for this. So, I asked them to look at the problem before they decide if they are responsible or not. After they looked at my car, the technician decided the left speaker was failing and needed to be replaced. I told them the left speaker was not failing when I dropped off the car. I was then told by a different technician that this was the second time this month this has happened to the same type of model/car after doing the same latch repair as they did on my car. He asked me to leave the car and he would call me in a couple hours. After looking at it, they called me back and told me they didn’t do anything to the speaker except unplug and plug the cable back in. I was also told that they did not touch the handle and they just worked around it. This is despite the fact that the invoice literally says replaced both side door latches. So, with some bizarre magic of warranties that I have purchased they were able to replace the speaker (that they broke) with me paying my warranty deductible only. This is not ideal to pay for something that was not broken when I brought it in, but I wanted to be done with this place asap. Also, the door handle is STILL lose and not fixed. They told me I would have to pay for it to fix it. Nothing like having to pay for another dealer mistake. So, when I picked my car up the second time, I noticed a very strong smell of gasoline in my car and that my floor mats were now missing. As if I wasn’t frustrated enough, I now had to turn around and go back to the dealer to get my floor mats. I imagine you could guess what happened by now…Bingo, you are correct. There were never floor mats in the car when I brought it in. Allegedly. Just a secret between us, my car had floor mats when I brought it in. At this point, I begrudgingly walked out of there after getting nowhere with the manager. I will never take my business to this service center again. I would highly recommend avoiding this service center at all costs because it will cost you way more than money. More
When it comes to a brake recall you would think it would’ve been taken seriously. 4 hours on the lift to change the oil and then a pissy attitude from the technician. A surprise $500 charge at delive would’ve been taken seriously. 4 hours on the lift to change the oil and then a pissy attitude from the technician. A surprise $500 charge at delivery was also a nice surprise Don’t expect to get a out unless you sign for the extended warranty. One week out of the hospital, he nearly sent me back in. He doesn’t like the word no ! More
Have purchased two vehicles from Palm Springs Motors, one in 2008 and one in 2017. I have had both vehicles serviced here and only here and have always had great service. If I had an issue it was resolved qu in 2008 and one in 2017. I have had both vehicles serviced here and only here and have always had great service. If I had an issue it was resolved quickly and to my satisfaction. Wally, my service advisor, is always professional, courteous, and great to work with. My experience with Palm Springs Motors has always been better than any other dealer I have worked with in the past! More
Had our truck for 6 weeks, and did nothing but change the oil..think they actually forgot!? When they did respond to my inquiry, they quoted over 10 times what we ended up paying—and completely missed the ma oil..think they actually forgot!? When they did respond to my inquiry, they quoted over 10 times what we ended up paying—and completely missed the mark on what needed to be repaired. Had to take truck to another shop, and lost more time from my vehicle. No apologies, no reasons—just dropped the ball and took advantage of their power. Absolutely horrible. More
As a family with 3 Ford's we have never felt more ripped off then we did today from this specific service department!! We own an Escape 2013 and we want to GIVE WARNING to ALL who bring their car in to this off then we did today from this specific service department!! We own an Escape 2013 and we want to GIVE WARNING to ALL who bring their car in to this department!! We have had an issue for the past 3 years with the engine coolant and brought it in at least 3 times for the SAME issue. Unfortunately they DID NOT FIX IT rather they just patched it until we finally paid off the car. Just after we pay it off and the warranty ends the car started over heating again!! So when we brought it in for the forth time AGAIN for the coolant they had us pay $4,405.11 because they claim their is no longer a warranty on it!!!! When we first tried to pay this insane amount our card declined and GEORGE who was supposed to be helping smirked!! We will NEVER take any of our Ford's there again!! The WORSE customer service ever!!! The manager in charged was just as unhelpful as GEORGE was when we told her we brought the car in multiple times why it hadn't been fixed the other 3 times she just gave us a Ford Hotline number to call and didn't even bother explaining why we are paying for something that should had been fixed any time within the last 3 years when we brought it in for the same issue each time. Following up on it my self I found an expired recall that looks like it was for the same problem which they likely ignored until it became an issue that I have to pay for. Seems like predatory practice to me. Sad treatment for a once loyal family of Ford owners. More
I recently purchased a 2010 Mustang GT from another source and needless to say it needed work. That being said, I wanted to use Ford parts as much as possible so I went to Palm Springs Ford and worked source and needless to say it needed work. That being said, I wanted to use Ford parts as much as possible so I went to Palm Springs Ford and worked with Jeremy McCoy in the parts dept. From the beginning Jeremy was very friendly and patient, I had a long list of parts. Even after determining additional parts needed, Jeremy promptly returned my call and continued with the same awesome customer service. In a time when excellent customer service seems to no longer exist it was refreshing to find such a knowledgeable and helpful person to assist me in bringing back my 2010 GT! Thank you Jeremy and thank you Palm Springs Ford. I will be back!!! More
