Buyer Beware!!! Extended Service Agreement Scam Summary - if you want more detail, read past the first paragraph. I enjoyed the no-pressure purchase process at PSI Cars, but was sold a $2,612 extend Summary - if you want more detail, read past the first paragraph. I enjoyed the no-pressure purchase process at PSI Cars, but was sold a $2,612 extended service agreement that has a unique exclusionary clause that makes the agreement virtually worthless. If you have already purchased an extended service agreement through PSI Cars, or plan on making a purchase of a service agreement, I recommend reading this entire review - BUYER BEWARE!!!! I purchased a 2015 Yukon Denali in October of 2017 with 34,805 miles on it. My trade in valuation and purchase price was fair and I appreciated the no-pressure sales environment. On Ben's recommendation I purchased the best extended service agreement that PSI offers for $2,612 that is supposedly "as good" as the bumper to bumper warranty (see attached picture). I left feeling good about my purchase and protected with future repairs. Fast forward to May of 2020 with 81k miles - I had my first major issue with the Yukon with the A/C not working. I bring the Yukon into my local GMC dealer and they quickly diagnose that the A/C condenser has a leak and needs to be replaced. The Dealer contacts the warranty company, Fortegra Smart Autocare, to get the claim approved. Over the course of 4 hours, 6 phone calls, and a tremendous amount of frustration, the claim is denied because of an exclusionary clause in the contract (see attached highlighted picture). Section F.G.3 of the contract excludes any repair that: "is a direct result of a mechanical or structural flaw that the manufacturer has acknowledged through any means, or that the manufacturer will repair at it's expense, including, but not limited to technical service bulletins". The A/C condenser on the current generation Yukon/Tahoe line of vehicles is prone to developing a leak, so GM issued a technical service bulletin to dealerships to help them quickly diagnose the issue and make the repair. Because there was a bulletin issued on this component, my claim was denied leaving me stuck with a $1,500 repair bill out of pocket. I was informed by the GMC dealer that the 2015-2020 Yukon/Tahoe line of vehicles have "hundreds of technical service bulletins covering every major component of the vehicle". Technical Service Bulletins are issued by all manufacturers to make the diagnosis of issues more efficient for their dealerships. This exclusion makes the extended service agreement virtually worthless and the GMC dealer informed me they have never seen this clause written into a service agreement before. I first contacted the Service Agreement Company to seek assistance. They were unwilling to do anything and stated "we recommend everyone read the full details of their contract before signing". It is a 15 page agreement and I trusted that Steve and Ben would only sell legitimate service agreements. In the end it is my responsibility to read what I am signing, so great lesson learned on my part. I contacted Ben via email explaining my issue and asked for help getting the claim resolved. After a few emails back and forth, Ben and Steve were unable to help with the claim and have left me stuck with a $1,500 repair bill. I hope PSI Cars does the right thing in the end...until then, be careful and read every detail of any service agreements you have purchased, or plan to purchase, at PSI Cars. More
Best trade-in experience at PSI cars! I had the best experience with Ben at PSI cars! I did a trade-in for a Yukon XL. The transaction went smoothly and quickly and was very low stress. I had the best experience with Ben at PSI cars! I did a trade-in for a Yukon XL. The transaction went smoothly and quickly and was very low stress. He literally handled everything for me and had the deal done in less than 2 hours total (including my shopping time!). I had no idea things could move that quickly and easily. It was literally stress-free. The pricing of the vehicles at PSI is significantly lower than at other dealerships and PSI does an amazing job of upgrading a lot of the vehicles they sell with new grills (my Yukon came with a fancy Denali grill) and 22 in rims. Not only was the Yukon priced honestly and at book value (and I did my research!), but I also got a great trade in price for my existing vehicle. Overall, wonderful experience and I will most certainly be back to PSI again and again (or at least every 2-3 years) for all my future trade-ins! More
Poor customer service PSI Cars listed rims and tires for sale via Craigslist. I contacted them via email receiving terse replies with poor grammar and punctuation. That sho PSI Cars listed rims and tires for sale via Craigslist. I contacted them via email receiving terse replies with poor grammar and punctuation. That should have been a clue but the tires were still available so I drove over an hour to pick them up. Surprise - they "sold just this morning" and the picture on Craigslist is a "stock picture" even though the ad was a listing specifically for Toyota rims. The only ones that they have in stock now do not fit my vehicle. Exceptionally bad service, even for a used car dealer. More

He said yes but to give him a fe I purchased a 2018 Yukon and asked Ben specifically if he would throw in the factory wheels and tires for the winter. He said yes but to give him a few weeks so that he would have a better selection for me to choose from. After completing the sale and walking out of the dealer, i asked Ben again about the factory wheels and tires, with him again saying yes just to call him in 2-3 weeks. I called Ben 10/30 and asked if he had any available. He said yes, so my son and i went down to pick them up and after looking through what he had started loading them in our trailer. Another guy came up and asked how i was going to pay for them. I then told him about Ben throwing them in with my 50,000 dollar purchase. Ben then came up to me and said there was a miscommunication and now wanted to charge me for them. It wasn't a lot but it was the principle of it. I SPECIFICALLY asked for them to be included and Ben Christensen said yes but then when his boss came around it suddenly changed. His boss also walked away laughing saying "they thought they were free haha" So that's how i was treated. I did not buy them, I'll find them elsewhere. More
Disappointing It was so close to being a great experience – it happened to be one of the worst. My wife and I met with Ben, one of the managers, to test drive It was so close to being a great experience – it happened to be one of the worst. My wife and I met with Ben, one of the managers, to test drive a Tahoe we saw online. My first impression was that this whole situation was odd. We walked into an empty waiting room and rang a small silver bell and just stood there… a couple of minutes later Ben came out front and took us into the show room. However, the showroom was legit and full of nice looking SUV’s. Ben did a great job showing us what we wanted to see and did not pressure us like some salesmen do. So far, so good – the car was nice, clean and even more than we expected. After the test drive, my wife decided she wanted the car. We just asked that he hold it until we could get the check delivered the next day. That next morning (12:21AM) my wife called and left Ben a 41 second message saying that we would like to come in drop off the check and finalize the transaction. She figured that Ben was busy and would likely call back that day… he never did. She called again the next morning to say the same thing only Ben answered this time saying, “[that he] had sold the car the day before and they only hold a vehicle for 24 hours”. He sold the car out from under us and didn't allow us the 24 hours to bring in the check. If you read other reviews you will see this same story – they have done it before and will likely do it again. If you choose to look at/ purchase a car from PSI, bring a check – nothing is guaranteed. Looking back, maybe they were upset we wanted to pay cash and not use their financing. This could have been better for us if they just admitted they did something wrong and apologized. Instead they blamed my wife for not connecting with them - maybe they simply don’t respect women. In summary: Our time is not worth sketchy dealings of what’s going on here. More
Extremely Pleased with my Experience I was looking for a 2016 or 2017 F-150 Ford Super Crew Cab truck with low miles for about 6 months. It seems I could never find what I wanted or at I was looking for a 2016 or 2017 F-150 Ford Super Crew Cab truck with low miles for about 6 months. It seems I could never find what I wanted or at the dealers they prefer to sell you what they had on their lot. One day several months back I ran across a truck listed on Craigslist by PSI Cars in Eden Prairie. That truck was not what I was looking for however I started checking out their website and watching their inventory listings. At the same time I was doing my research on how creditable PSI Cars is. Everything turned out to be very positive so I continued watching their website weekly. During that period of time I realized how many vehicles they sell due to how short of time they were listed. Right before Christmas on their website was the truck I’ve been looking for so I reached out to them and started working with Ben Christensen. Due to the Holidays it took me a little longer to pull my financing together and Ben was fantastic to work with. He was so accommodating to my schedule and what really stood out to me was when I test-drove the truck. He let me take the truck with out having to ride along with me during the test drive, which made me feel more comfortable to really evaluate the vehicle the way I wanted to. Most other dealerships the sales person will ride along with you and constantly put the sales pitch on you during the test drive. I was sold at that point. In the end I received more bang for my buck with options on the truck over the other major dealers. Do your self a favor if your looking for a vehicle, reach out to Ben and give PSI Cars a serious evaluation. I know from my current experience that you will not be sorry and Ben will take fantastic care of you. What are you waiting for you owe it to yourself. More
