Oxmoor Toyota was an unexpected surprise, I was dreading going to a dealership to look at a car I saw online. Oxmoor Toyota was the most professional, friendliest and no pressure to buy car dealership I have ever been to. My wife and I drove 3 1/2 hours to look at a truck we saw on the Oxmoor website and it was wel no pressure to buy car dealership I have ever been to. We were greeted in the showroom with a pleasant and knowledgeable salesman (Cory) he made the whole process of buying a vehicle pleasant. I have bought several different cars at different dealerships and it was never a pleasant experience and to be honest I was expecting the same treatment at Oxmoor but I was wrong. We were treated like we were family buying a car; no pressure to buy, not rushed to make a decision. I would highly recommend if you are thinking about buying a new or used car give Oxmoor Toyota a chance you won’t be disappointed. We had an appointment to see a specific 4Runner (msrp $55k) and Highlander (msrp $52k). Elliott was the salesman who went with us. We drove the 4runner first and really liked it, then drove the Highland $55k) and Highlander (msrp $52k). Elliott was the salesman who went with us. We drove the 4runner first and really liked it, then drove the Highlander and didn’t like it so much. My husband asked Elliott if we could get the 4Runner for $52 and Elliott laughed. I asked if he had other 4Runners on the lot for closer to $52 and he said yes, but when we got back to the dealership, he thanked us for coming in and just walked off. He didn’t try to sell us either vehicle we drove and didn’t offer to show us a less expensive 4Runner. I was disappointed so after we left, I looked at the website to see what other 4Runners were in stock and saw the one we drove, msrp $55 had a dealer special price of $52k!!! So we called to confirm the vehicle was still there and that it was indeed $52k, turned around and went back, This time we dealt with Camden. Camden is almost young enough to be my grandson but he was delightful! He was helpful, knowledgeable, and an absolute pleasure to deal with. He ended up selling us the 4Runner we had driven. The difference in attitude between those two men was night and day, and if I hadn’t had my heart set on that 4Runner, we’d have left after dealing with Elliott and never considered your dealership again. I had to give one star because it wouldn’t let me do the review! It was a very bad experience. I will say that Joe Deitz was very apologetic about the whole ordeal. We saw a picture on Oxmoor Toyota’s page review! It was a very bad experience. I will say that Joe Deitz was very apologetic about the whole ordeal. We saw a picture on Oxmoor Toyota’s page but it didn’t have any pictures so when we came in we asked if we could see the car and Joe said, let me go find where it is! So when he came back, he said, it’s up on the rack being inspected. So we said, as soon as it comes off the rack could you give me a call so I can come back and look at the car. He said, let me go check! So when he came back he was with the manager and he said, hi you can call me Bubba! He then said, I can make you a deal because this car will be gone! Then he went into telling us he told his friend about getting the car for his daughter. I wished his friend would’ve gotten the car! He said, if you fill out the papers like you’re buying the car then that way I can hold it for you! The deal is if it passes inspections, you have to buy the car! If it fails you are out of the contract. He said, all of our cars go through an intense inspection. We filled out the papers on the car and Easy Care on December 2, 2023! The car passed inspection so we picked it up on December 7 of 2023. I fell in love with the car until about a little over a week it started smoking real bad. so I sent a message on December 20, 2023 and finally got a response on December 27 of 2023. They told me to take the car to a dealer. So we took it to Collins Nissan! We couldn’t get the car in until January 9th 2024 because of the holidays. They called us and said, that the engine had sludge in it, and it had two recalls!Then they said, it would be 22,000 to fix the engine and transmission and they were waiting for easy care to come and give them an answer! Easy Care said, they don’t cover sludge! So we told Oxmoor Toyota that we were bringing the car back to get our money back!We paid $16,770.44 and only got back 15,443.86 and was short, 1,326.58. So I basically didn’t have a car that whole time except for the little over a week cause we didn’t want to drive the car and cause more problems. The sad part is that manager named Bubba sat at a table across from us and didn’t even come over and apologize! He sent somebody else over to do the paperwork!Then we couldn’t get the check until we got the title to be able to get our money and he never came over and apologize to us. It was like I inconvenience you all but really you all inconvenience us! That car should’ve never left with two recalls and sludge in the engine. I don’t know who does your inspections but they didn’t do a very good job! I lost sleep and got sick. This was the worst ordeal that I’ve ever went through. I will never ever buy a car from Oxmoor Toyota. We should have gotten all of our money back because this is the first time we’ve bought a used car a felt comfortable going through a dealership! More
