Easy buying experience! we live in the Yakima valley and had been car shopping for a few weeks. After narrowing our search and doing our homework by comparing cars, prices, and warrantys, we decided on a Kia Optima. We decided to see what was available online at Overturf and found several cars of interest to choose from. We emailed for an "e-price" and heard back from Jen very quickly with a fair price. The next day we took the drive down to look at a car. We were immediately greeted by Frank who was very helpful but not obnoxious or overbearing. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and truly had our interests in mind. He made our experience much more enjoyable than we ever imagined! In fact, by the time we left, we had several conversations with other employees about hobbies, interests, and even favorite vacation spots. They don't just talk about cars there. Upon leaving, Frank gave us a tour of the dealership and through the service department introducing us to other employees. More

Paid too much for very little Issue: $99 to code a new key to the car... First off let me state that for the same service in Seattle it was $50 & when talking to Doug @ Overturf he Issue: $99 to code a new key to the car... First off let me state that for the same service in Seattle it was $50 & when talking to Doug @ Overturf he stated that the cost to code new keys was more then the quoted price I'd just received frm Carter VW in Seattle. $300 for one key to open a car seems steep. But one I was willing to pay. However, once I brought the car in to get coded & programmed they couldn't program the key w/o first charging me another $100 to diagnose the issue. So I opt out of getting the remote entry & what I receive is a $200 half key that I have no way to attach to a key chain. I'm only in the area for a short time more but I'll travel to any other VW service station (even Seattle vs. go back to Overturf) & I'd suggest you get quotes & do the same. More
I have purchased 4 Volkswagons from Overturf, and each time it has been an easy and simple process. As well, I enjoy the testosterone filled conversations with the gentleman in management and sales. My husband and I made the trip to Overturf so we could take a look at the Kia Souls that my husband had read good reviews about. We had been to Toyota, Chevy and Ford dealers before going to Overturf. Kirby Mathews greeted us when we walked in the Overturf bldg., and took us to where the Soul was on the floor. He explained it from from to back, inside and out and asked if we would like to go for a test drive. We liked how it drove and it was comfortable to sit in...much roomier back seat than we expected, and lots of overhead space for my tall husband. When we returned to the dealership, Kirby answered all of our questions. We had no intentions of buying a brand new car on the spot, but because of the car, and the non-pressure sales people there, we felt we were getting a good deal. We left with the car, and felt very good about it and are still glad we made the decision we did. More
The women I ask consistently hate shopping for cars because the auto sales industry is so male-focused. Why don't dealers provide gender sensitivity training for their sales staff?! Some of these guys refused to make eye contact with me & "sold" only to my husband, even when he reminded them that I was their customer. While some at Overturf fit into this mold, I was fortunate to find Jerry Gonzalez on my first visit to the dealership. Jerry quickly learned what was important to me & over the course of a few visits facilitated my purchase of a beautiful A6 in my preferred color choice. Jerry is personable, knowledgeable & definitely doesn't play high-pressure games to force a sale. Unfortunately, some further up the food chain at Overturf don't value female customers as much. The abrasive finance dude registered my new car in my husband's name & did not give me the option of changing it. He was visibly shocked to learn my last name is different than my spouse's, Another dealership lost my sale because they were unable to focus on the features that mattered to me & persistently called me afterward with cars that did not meet my needs. I highly recommend Jerry Gonzalez if you are looking for a good salesperson who values your needs! More
