But had an engine light come on, so brought it in to get checked out. Brian Kostovick was my service advisor. Took my car and waited, and waited, and waited. Finally a couple of days later, called to see what was going on. Brian said they hadn't even started the diagnosis yet, but promised that they would that day and he'd call me the next day. No call the next day. When I called the following day, he said "it's been a day" - a line that he repeated multiple times during this debacle - and said he'd have to get back to me. Following day still no answer. Then finally after complaining to his manager, finally got some action and the car was ready for pick up. Left me without a car for over a eight days. When I finally picked it up, there were no apologies from Brian, but was just glad to get my car back. I drove out of the service department and within a quarter mile my dash lit up like a Christmas tree, so had to turn around and give it back as the problem wasn't fixed correctly. This time they offered me a loaner which I took since it had been so long since I had my car. But then the cycle repeated - a day would go by with no call from Brian, I would call for updates, Brian would say "it's been a day" and he'd check on the status. Took an additional four days to finally get the problem fixed. So in total, took nearly two weeks to get my problem fixed (which was not a big problem to begin with. Stay away. More
they can't figure out your engine is about to fail If I could give zero stars for their service department, I would. Took my car in after it failed and left me stranded. They said if I paid $1029 that my car would be good to go. Spent the next week with my car in the shop, and every day they gave me a different reason my car was having the exact same problem. After over a week, they finally figure out that it was really that my timing belt was at failure point (which, coincidentally, there's a class action against VW for), and their best advice is for me to "trade it in." They refused to give me a refund for money spent on useless labor. Apparently, this service department is incapable of figuring out your engine is about to fail until AFTER you spend a small fortune throwing other parts at it. On top of apparently being incompetent, they're rude. Save yourself some money and take it literally anywhere else. More
