I went in to have some air put in my tire- an hour later they insisted I had a slit in my tire and all 4 tires needed replacement. The tire has had a slow leak since the day I bought the car 3 years ago. they insisted I had a slit in my tire and all 4 tires needed replacement. The tire has had a slow leak since the day I bought the car 3 years ago. I replaced the tires, had an alignment and then was told I needed new brakes. The care has 25,000 miles on it. Ever since they bought out Matt Slap when I go in they try to rip me off. I am looking to purchase a 26 but not from them and that is a shame because I bought my last 3 from them. My rims are totally scraped up and I need to buy new ones due to the bad workmanship. Do not go here they will rip you off!!! More
We are very happy with Subaru's, this is our fourth Forester! We started buying Subaru's when this was the Matt Slap franchise and were always happy with the experience. With Ourisman there were diff Forester! We started buying Subaru's when this was the Matt Slap franchise and were always happy with the experience. With Ourisman there were differences: - They do not list contact information or even a roster for sales people on their website. We have a salesperson we really like doing business with (Laura Hart-Siano is awesome). I had to figure out how to contact her privately to know if she even was still selling Subarus at this location and only then was I able to establish a conversation with her. This took a significant amount of time on my part, that could have been avoided by the dealer. They had it set up so that not even the Matt Slap email address would forward to the new one. I also found that the managers did not care to negotiate and instead are trying to use a Carmax-like model. With this I felt my trade was undervalued when compared to online resources I used and Subaru's GAURANTEED trade in value from the My Subaru app. I was finally able to get to a place where I was comfortable but felt a bit under appreciated as the dealer was making a profit on both sides of my deal (Our trade in was listed on the website for about $9K more than we were given). We also found finance options were lacking and high. I knew going in that my credit union would have me at 3%...the best Ourisman could do was 6 and change. We have excellent credit...that's ridiculous. I financed at the 6 ish and then refinanced a week later with my credit union...again more work for me. I'm also not clear as to what our 'perks' are for buying a certified car there. A hard copy of that information along with the certified warranty would have been nice. Overall happy with the car, love the sales person, dealer was not special. More
I don't appreciate being lied to! I paid cash for a vehicle and they still wanted my ss #. When I questioned Laura why she needed it, I was given some generic answer. She assured me i I paid cash for a vehicle and they still wanted my ss #. When I questioned Laura why she needed it, I was given some generic answer. She assured me if anything a soft credit pull would be done. Well of that wasn't the case. I had email notifications before I even got home with the car for 'critical changes to my credit report' for possible loan application. I don't appreciate you people lowering my credit score without my permission AND for no reason as I have worked hard to keep it high! Also the finance guy needs to work on his attitude when you tell you him you're not buying an extended warranty! I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. More

01/30/2025: My son brought my 2018 Impreza in due to a vibration coming from the rear end. He uses this car to commute to work in NJ. The car had a similar issue in May 2024, which was resolved with the vibration coming from the rear end. He uses this car to commute to work in NJ. The car had a similar issue in May 2024, which was resolved with the rear wheel bearings being replaced for $624. He told the service advisor (Dan) to check the wheel bearings due to the previous repair that was performed on them. This time the dealer stated that the differential needed to be replaced at a cost of $2379.94. I trusted them and gave them the go ahead for the repair. After the repair was completed, my son drove the car to work. He called me on the way and said the vibration did not go away, and that in fact, it was worse. He brought the car back and was given a loaner this time. After two days, I received a call from Dan, and he stated the wheel bearings needed to be replaced. I asked why their original diagnosis was that the differential needed replacement. He stated that the differential replacement was needed and was coincidental to the wheel bearings. Well I don't believe in coincidences, and I believe the mechanic made a mistake that they are covering up. To add insult to injury, I looked up the cost of a replacement differential on the official Subaru parts website and it was listed as $1256.63 MSRP and available for a discounted price of $824.85. The dealer charged me $1714.94 for the differential (not including labor). I can understand some dealer markup, but this is excessive. I discussed this with the Customer Relations Manager, Holly Jackson. To her credit, she was able to get me a $458.31 refund for the cost of the differential. Of course, after the wheel bearings were replaced, the vibration was gone. Subaru did not charge me for the bearing replacement. How could they after charging me $1921.63 (after accounting for the refund) for a differential whose replacement was unnecessary. BTW this is the fourth Subaru I’ve purchased at this dealer and will probably be my last. More
Terrible experience! Spoke with parts dept about having tires replaced on 21 subaru outback with same original tires on vehicle. Was told tires were in stock so scheduled Spoke with parts dept about having tires replaced on 21 subaru outback with same original tires on vehicle. Was told tires were in stock so scheduled appt. Upon check in asked for an inspection of vehicle as well. After 90 min of waiting was told tires weren't in stock and then didn't have right size tires and someone was going to retrieve them. Was told I could wait or have original tires put back on and re-schedule appt. Also informed I would receive some consideration with bill. After 4 hours my vehicle was ready with not same tires/same brand but different model, a $60 compensation, no inspection report or discussion, and rims covered with lube still. I had to ask for a cloth to wipe lube off rims which service advisor then quickly wiped. Never again! What an awful experience for a dealership! Should have saved myself time and aggravation and went to a reputable tire store. More
I had to stop there to get my car serviced after my dashboard lit up. They were able to do the work overnight and I got a free loaner to continue my trip. I got my car (2014 Forester) back, and while d dashboard lit up. They were able to do the work overnight and I got a free loaner to continue my trip. I got my car (2014 Forester) back, and while driving it home, I noticed something laying against my windshield wiper. I pulled over and opened my hood. The repair person left a wrench and magnetic bowl in my engine compartment! I just brought my car in for inspection (different garage), and they found one wheel missing a lug stud, and another was missing a lug nut! Ourisman was the last place that my wheels were removed. I do NOT recommend this place for auto service. More
We've been going to Matt Slap for 30 somethin' years, ever since Zee was the manager. We have no intention of shopping elsewhere. "If it ain't broke don't fix it. ever since Zee was the manager. We have no intention of shopping elsewhere. "If it ain't broke don't fix it. More
