I bought my first car, a 2010 VW Jetta Limited from Congressional Motors. Lappe was our salesperson, and he was very attentive, friendly, open and responsive to all our needs. He gave us informed advice on the attributes of each car, and took us out on two test drives. Instead of hard-selling the most expensive model and brand under VW (which was the make we wanted), he focused on what my needs as a first-time car buyer and a rather nervous driver were, such as the car's safety and size. We had some disagreement on the price early on and went back, but he followed up with us constantly, and made us come back with a good deal. Returning turned out to be a great decision in the end since we got the price we wanted and a beautiful car that's extremely safe, loaded with all the essentials, and all in all great bang for our buck. Dana McGriff, the financial manager, was also extremely friendly and warm, and made the stressful process of buying my first car very easy and smooth. Thanks guys. More

I window shopped at Congressional VW and Mazda on Tuesday night just to compare what was available to purchase and ended up driving home in a brand new 2010 Mazda 3 the next night. The first night Lappe approached me and answered my questions comparing the Mazda 3 with the VW Jetta. A previous Jetta driver, I knew how great VW cars are but I wanted to test drive a Mazda 3 because I liked the look better. We schedule an appointment for the next night which resulted in a in-depth financial discussion, a trade-in and a new car. My overall experience was great and it was a pleasure interacting with each and every employee at Congressional. My lease was coming to an end on my Toyota Camry Hybrid and because of all the problems we were hearing about regarding Toyota, I wanted to research other manufacurers. I had a little bit of time between business appts. and walked around the lot of Congressional Motors VW. My sister had just purchased a CC and I wanted to check it out. Harry Vannie walked over to ask if I needed help. He answered all my questions and respected my limited time availability. Three weeks later, I went back to test drive the CC. I had called to set it up in advance, and Harry was there to meet me and get me in the car with no waiting around. He pointed out all the aspects of the car before getting on the road and then just allowed us to enjoy the car. We spent some time after the test drive on negotiating and we left knowledgable about the car and what our deal would be. After looking at a few other dealers, we went back two days later and finalized our purchase. Jay, in financing was great and got our deal done quickly, and Harry showed us all the bells and whistles that were in our car and set up our radio, bluetooth and even our first service appt. I have never had such a good understanding of any car I have ever driven off a car lot. The staff at Congressional Motor cars are the best I've ever worked with and I would recommend going to see Harry...He is a great guy! More

I had a very good experience with service to my Cadillac after an accident. John recommended that I shouldn't drive my car and made arrangements for a rental car. John kept me informed of the repair work being done to my car and when I came to pick it up, it was as beauful as ever. John was professional and has a great, positive attitude and customer service. I have used Congressional Mazda to buy my vehicle, as well as for body work and service. I honestly find the service work to be a little pricey, but I love the people at the dealership and always feel ve well as for body work and service. When my car was hit, I took it right up to Congressional and John in the body shop was amazing from the first minute. Another time, I brought my car in to be repaired under warranty and Jose in the service department was faced with a bit of an issue when the part was not delivered as it was supposed to be. He called me immediately and we worked out the issue, utilizing their convenient shuttle service to get me to and from Metro to make sure I could get to work. Jose was incredibly nice throughout the experience, even when I got a little angry because of the change in service date. He worked out everything and I drove away happy the next day. I love Congressional Mazda!!!! More
