Last week I received multiple quotes over the internet in an attempt to buy a new Odyssey at the lowest possible price. We purchased a new Civic last fall and love the car. I told my friends I was becoming a “Honda man.” I even bought a Honda lawn mower last month. On Friday evening, my wife and I were on our way to the dealer who offered us the lowest price, Hersons Honda of Rockville, MD, when we received a phone call from Honda of Tysons. We had visited the dealership two days prior but they were nowhere close to matching the price quoted by Hersons. Suddenly, we were informed by the salesman that they could match the price. Since we knew they could give us a little more on our trade in my wife and I figured we would save an additional $300 by buying from Honda of Tysons. To make sure there was no misunderstanding, I told the salesman that the price had to include the special financing. He told me it would. We showed up shortly thereafter and the price was what they said it would be. We figured we would be driving home that night in a brand new Odyssey until we got to the financing room. Needless to say, the special financing was nowhere to be found, drastically altering the deal. Angry, my wife and I confronted the salesman and the manager of the dealership when both of them played dumb and informed us that “of course” we couldn’t get the special price and the special financing. I just wanted to let you know that my wife and I do not appreciate being lied to. My wife’s mother had a bad experience at this dealer and perhaps we should have not even considered them in the first place. Apparently this dealership has a track record of such behavior after talking to other dealers in the area. If you are wondering if we bought from another dealer, yes we did. It was from across the street at Koon’s Toyota. Kevin W. More

TOTAL CHEATS, LIARS, AND A RIP-OFF I had my Honda TOTAL CHEATS, LIARS, AND A RIP-OFF I had my Honda Civic taken to this dealership for replaciong brake pads. Even though I had an appointment, I was TOTAL CHEATS, LIARS, AND A RIP-OFF I had my Honda Civic taken to this dealership for replaciong brake pads. Even though I had an appointment, I was made to wait at least 45 minutes before a service manager could find time. I explained what I needed done, quite simple - replace brake pads. After the car had been in the dealership for about five hours, I get a call from my service manager, who says that there are more serious problems, with my brakes than just the brake pads. So he works up an estimate for $800 to replace brake discs, pads, and some sort brake pin etc. I am not an expert on Cars by any means, so I checked around over the phone and on the internet to find out if the estimate is reliable and it turned out that it weas around the ball park, of course with a 100% dealer mark up. But which dealer does not mark up the3 prices and overcharge labor. Further, I had to get my state inspection done within the week, so I authorized the amount. After my authorization, towards the evening, the service manager calls me and says he has to keep the car overnight. Then, next day he calls and tacks a few more problems to the list and claims that if I don't fix those new problems then they won't be able to replace brake discs etc. Finally over the next three days (which in itself is ridiculous to keep a car for 3 days) I end up authorizing a few more hours in labor etc to a total bill of $1200. Now comes the real bull shit - on the fourth day when I go to pick up the car my bill is at $2600. When I asked for details the service manager said that he had to do this and that and since he was not able to contact me (which is a lie, I did not see any missed calls from him) and since I had authorized the work on brake discs he just had to do all other extra work/ part replacements that had to be done in order to fix brake discs and the original work order. Anyways, he gives me the standard, if I don't pay then they have thr right to keep the car and take legal action. When I said I wanted to talk with a lawyer before I paid for it, he said "feel free to sue, you will just end up paying more for lawyers." Given the cost of lawyers, I decided to pay for it and write it off as bad luck. But problems don't end here - I take my car for inspection and it does not pass it - the reason being "need new brake pads." Also ovet the next two days the car strated to ,make all kinds of noises whenever I applied my brakes. So at this point I am furious and I go back to Tysons Honda. But the answer I get after having the dealerships main serivice manager look at my car is - "everything is fine with the car, maybe I need to take my car to a different inspection station," and he jokingly added, "may be the inspection station is just lying to me." What can I do with such dishonest cheats. I got angry but what can I do other than go to a lawyer and spend more money and time and effort. Anyways, I tried calling Honda to register a complaint, and they did take the complaint and saids they will look into it etc...but you kno how it goes...nothing happens. Anyways, I go to Bill page Honda, and they review the work of Tysons and said openly that I had been ripped off - More damage had been done to my brakes and I had to spend another $750 to get everything back to order. But even to this day everythime I brake it squeaks - reminding me never ever to go to Tysons Honda again. Anyways, never ever step into TYSONS HONDA SERVICE CENTER. Bill Page Hond is probably much better in terms of integrity, but I will not vouch for the quality of their service or their technicians. At least they will be honest. More
Like any dealer the initial offer was horrible, but thats not my problem with this dealership. I bought the car and was happy at first. But then one thing after another went wrong. About 3 weeks after pur not my problem with this dealership. I bought the car and was happy at first. But then one thing after another went wrong. About 3 weeks after purchasing the car I rinsed it down to get the salt off the car. Next thing I know I see a few minor to moderate scratches on the car. Clearly a simple hose is not going to create these kind of scratches. So clearly the dealership has the ability to hide these scratches temporarily. Obviously thry are not going to admit to that and the manager of the used car dealership made me feel like I was an idiot for suggesting they should fix the scratches, even though there is no way I would have purchased this vehicle if I had seen these scratches. So give your car a good rinse down within the first 2 days of buying the car so you can find those hidden scratches. Then I noticed that after it rained, some water marks were appearing on the interior of my car. I did a carfax report and it had some rear side damage to the car which the dealer refused to repair. The springs were taken off the trunk so the trunk has hit me on the head multiple times when I am going in and out of it. They wont fix that. Then about 3 weeks into having the car they call me up and tell me the car has to be inspected before they can send the tags. Why they didnt tell me this before?? I dont know. So I had to get my car inspected and mail the paper to them within a week or my temp tags will expire. Finally my first car payment is due and I have yet to receive any type of bill or booklet. i call the dealer to see what the deal is and they just give me an address to mail a check to. Who in their right mind would just mail a check of that amount to a bank and hope it goes to the right place. I asked for a phone number to the bank and their response was, "I cant find that number for you, sorry." He does give me the number to a local bank, who I have left 5 messages for and had no call back. Finally 5 days later I am able to find the number on my own and the bank was very helpful. No thanks to the dealership. Bottom line, not going to this dealership ever again! I would recommend you do the same! More
I am giving this rating because of a misunderstanding during a phone survey where the rep asking the questions asked if I had any bad experience with any other Honda dealership. This dealership is full of the most DECEITFUL and CROOKED salespeople I have EVER SEEN at ANY DEALERSHIP. You will surely be CHEATED if you buy a car here. There are several other Honda dealers in the are salespeople I have EVER SEEN at ANY DEALERSHIP. You will surely be CHEATED if you buy a car here. There are several other Honda dealers in the area, go to ANY other one. Not only are these salespeople CORRUPT and IMMORAL, they are also INCOMPETENT. If you buy a car here, you will be in for a drawn out, frustrating waste of time, and you will ruin your entire car buying experience.. perhaps forever. I was trying to buy a Honda Fit, and after about 1 hour of negotiations, I had come to a price which was just over my limit, but I decided to go with it anyway. At first, I had asked for them to give me the "Out the door" price, which they refused, claiming that finance would handle that step. They also tack on useless packages such as mud flaps and wheel locks, and charge $495 for that package. For reference, mud flaps cost around $50 aftermarket and wheel locks are around $30-40. They put this package on EVERY car, so you will definitely pay more than MSRP if you buy from here. After we agreed on the price, I was forced to wait 2 hours before I could see finance. Fortunately, during this period of time, I was able to eavesdrop on the head manager and the sales tactics he used. He said something to this effect: "Just tell them about the mud flaps and wheel locks, and bam, you've got em'." "What the *#@! do you have to do to sell this car?" Surely, this manager is immoral and out to cheat his customers. He has a beard, so if you ever go and see a bearded fellow behind the center desk, be extremely wary. Finally, after a trying experience (I had already purchased insurance for the car too) we finally met finance. The guy was cheery at first, hoping to take us off guard. However, when he offered up the usual warranty packages, I noticed that the price of the car was $635 more! At first, I thought it was an honest mistake, and it would just take a few minutes to straighten out, however it turned out that the manager had intentionally lied about including the freight in the agreed upon price. They told me that they couldn't do it for that price (that we had agreed upon and I had signed for) and I left extremely dissatisfied, hurt, and upset. This is apparently a common practice for these crooks. What they do is get you to a price that you will buy the car for, have you sign a sales sheet, THEN put the numbers in, which will be DIFFERENT than the price you agreed upon! I was incredulous by their lack of decency. Please do yourself a favor, and never ever buy a car from these guys. Tell all your friends, because apparently this is common at this dealership! I will be reporting them to the better business bureau in hopes that they will be shut down and be replaced by salespeople with integrity and honesty. More
Only dealership in the area to have EXACTLY the car we sought. Price was the best we could find, or close to it. Problem was, they were part-swapping. We had no place to bolt on a front license plate. sought. Price was the best we could find, or close to it. Problem was, they were part-swapping. We had no place to bolt on a front license plate. We were told "come back in two weeks." We made the long drive back, and no one ever heard of this part. I was given a lengthy runaround, after which they wound up taking the part off a showroom car and attaching it to ours. After this I remembered another couple making the same complaint loudly the night we made our purchase. I think they were finally given the plate holder from our car. The people we dealt with were all polite and courteous, except for this problem. But I would not recommend the place. While I admit it seems foolish in retrospect to take delivery under these circumstances, it was late after a long buying process. Although I was not told this, I assumed the car had been setup for some state which did not use a front plate, and let it go. Big mistake. Also, this tip: if you shop in that dealership, remember the names of each and every person with whom you deal. If you do get a runaround that is the best way to get through it. More

We negotiated the pricing for our 2007 Odyssey over the phone because we were using our credit union for financing and we have 2 small children. We confirmed the price while we were at the credit union to phone because we were using our credit union for financing and we have 2 small children. We confirmed the price while we were at the credit union to be certain the check would be correct. When we arrived at the dealership, the salesman confirmed the price again. Subsequently, the manager said the deal was not approved by him, and he couldn't do it. It would be 1,000 more. We complained, and he said his salesman was just wrong, and we should leave if we wanted that price. So we did. More

I was looking for a 2007 Si sedan and all of the other dealerships in northern VA were asking for at least several hundred over MSRP and in some cases up to $2k over. On a whim I sent an email to Honda of Tysons Corner and they responded that they had three Si sedans. I got a quote over the phone for $500 over invoice. A few minutes after getting off the phone, the dealer called me back and let me know that the car I was looking for had the summer tires (+$200) but I decided to make the drive anyway and check it out. I met Gregg and he took me directly to the car in question and we took it for a test drive and started the paperwork. In addition to the summer tires, it had wheel locks and mud flaps. He wrote up all of the paperwork for $500 over invoice on the non-summer tire model. He never tried to change the price or dupe me. I never talked to the sales manager. The business office never tried to get me to pay for an extended warranty or paint protection. It was a car buying dream. Gregg went over ever single feature of the vehicle with me. He explained where to find information in the owners manual and other supporting documentation. In the end, it was the most pleasant car buying experience I'd ever had - no sales pitch, no bait-and-switch, no pressure - and I got an Si sedan for $20,682 while other dealers were asking a minimum of $22,500. If you do decide to stop by and see them make sure you talk to Gregg Miah! More
