Since this was my first new car purchase in eight years, I was not looking forward to the pressure and hassle of buying another. What a surprise! I purchased a used Volkswagon Beetle from ZEN MANI, and was told that the car would be covered under a comprehensive warranty for 1 month or 1000 miles and an additional powertrain warranty would cover the was told that the car would be covered under a comprehensive warranty for 1 month or 1000 miles and an additional powertrain warranty would cover the car for 3 months, which was the main driving force behind actually purchasing the car. Approximately 3 weeks after purchase, the check engine light came on. I brought it in for service, and was told by the service department that the catalytic converter needed to be replaced and it would cost over $900. After speaking to Zen to confirm that it is covered, as promised, he told me that there was no comprehensive warranty, but just a 50-50 Powertrain warranty. This is NOT what he told me before buying the car, and after speaking to the manager of the used car department, RORI BROWN, I was told that they would not cover it. ZEN MANI even hung up on me in the middle of the conversation while pretending to have the phone stop working. Clearly, he is a horrible actor and a complete SCUMBAG RORI BROWN initially told the service department that I had a 1 year powertrain warranty as well, which was a LIE, and then told me that he heard the entire conversation that Zen Mani when discussing the warranty, which was also a LIE. These jokers are the worst of the worst when it comes to used car dealers. They appear friendly and trustworthy before buying a car, but as soon as you purchase it, they will do anything, including lie, to avoid paying for any repairs Also, on a side note, one month after the purchase, my EasyCare warranty was not active, which was supposed to happen on the day of the sale. I had to call around to see what the problem was, and apparently they did not submit the paperwork. After calling and speaking to the main office, they processed it, but only after I found the error and told them to submit it. FOR GOD'S SAKE, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! More
Picked out a nice car from the used lot and got what I thouhgt was a good deal. After the sale was done and paid, salse rep then tells me there is only one key. FYI electronic keys run 400 and up. After 2 weeks sales rep tracked down previous owner but could not locate keys or number plate to have new keys made. Sales rep and manager did not care about the lack of disclosure on their end and were unwilling to replace the missing keys. Oh well lesson learned once you buy a car from them they could care less about keeping the customer happy or even communicating with them. Also after sending in my state inspection and calling to confirm that it was received, account rep told me tags would be ready in a week and they would call. No call so I call back in a to set up a time to come and pick up tags and they ask for my inspection. Told them I called last week and it was in, but now they can't find it, guess that is why they did not call. After some looking they find the inspection and I am ready to go, still not sure why they did not call if the tags were in. I am ready to be done with this place and glad I did not buy a new car from them. The deal I got was good at first, but the missing keys makes wonder what else they are not telling me. Buyer beware and ask plenty of questions. More
Got an incredible deal on a new 2011 Odyssey. From the start Dave Donley was great with a no pressure sales attitude and extremely informed about all the great features of the new model. SO UNPROFFSSIONAL AND RUDE! THE WORST COSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I contacted this dealer 2 weeks ago for quote on 2011civic exl,they a mailed me back with $22008.00 including tax,tags etx.I called them back EVER! I contacted this dealer 2 weeks ago for quote on 2011civic exl,they a mailed me back with $22008.00 including tax,tags etx.I called them back spook to CRIS CASON and try to negociate the price.He offered $21300.00 and I said if you make it $21000.00 out the door I will be there the first thing in the morning.He said let me talk to my manager and get back to you! he called me 15 mnts later saying that they agreed to sell me for $21000.00 out the door price.than he a mailed me again to confirm everything and told me to ask for LARRY LABONTE when I get there, he is the sales manager and he has everything that we talked about on file . On the 10/10/10 I went to get my new car.My fiancer and I met LARRY, he intreduced us to one of the sales people to help us out.We got there @ noon and because there computers were down we had to wait till 4pm, still not working, we agreed to sign the papers and just go back next day morning when there computers are working to finish the financing part than get the car. As I'm about to sign the papers the price was $21998.00 and not what i was expecting ! when I told them that , they said we don't know what you're talking about and it's impossible the sell this car for less than that.I said well what was I negociating than with you guys before i came in ?! The sales Manager LARRY LABONTE was so unprofessional and said I don't know what you talking about and you must miss understood over the phone ! Than I pulled my blackberry and showed him the a mails I got from them than he walked away. As he did I tried to call CRIS CASON to see what he has to say,they told me he's with the manager on the other line than put me on hold, someone else pick up and said I'm KRISTEN CRIS'S manager and there were miss comunication and there is nothing we can do about it and hang up the phone. The sales manager LARRY walked away from us and we never seen him again. CRIS CASON was refusing to talk to us, the only person was left was the sales guy and he was so uncomfortable with the hall situation.we called CRIS again from my fiance's number than he picked up ! I tried to figure out from him what happend but all what he was saying was : I think you miss hered me and there is a miss comunication.He was so uncomfortable talking to me and not knowing what to say.I said to him all the conversations that we had over the phone were recorded and we both know that I know what I'm talking about and I will really appreciate if you were honest with me and admit that! Ofcorse there was a miss comunication between him and his managers if anything but they wouldn't admit it or at least appoligize ! He had nothing else to say.I hang up with him got my papers and left.I would still by the car from them if they handeled thing deferently or professionaly. We went straight to HONDA OF FAIRFAX . We got there by 5pm and I showed them the papers that I olmost signed @ HONDA OF TYSONS CORNER and told them if you mutch this I'm buying this car right now. I waisted all day and I want to get it over with.They were more than happy to help us.They didn't mind to stay later for us to close the deal since it was a Sunday and they close @ 6pm but I didn't mind to go back monday morning to pick up the car.That's what we did , we got there on monday @ 9:30am by 11am we drove out our new car and we love it ! Everyone @ HONDA OF FAIRFAX was great verry nice and professional. More
We stopped in after driving to a number of other places looking for a Honda Odyssey. Upon pulling in, we met with a salesman who just happened to have "the perfect van" for us. We had a trade-in, so the manager came out, gave us the look over, then offered $9,000 for our trade-in. Considering they were willing to give us $5000 MORE for our trade-in than ANYONE else, we were instantly skeptical. Then they showed us our "perfect van". It was a NASTY van (complete with old McDonald's bags in the passenger seat and sticky substances ALL over). It had a VERY convenient DVD player that ONLY SHOWED the movie HOWEVER did not provide sound for the movie!!! I don't think they thought I would figure that out, cause when I said NO WAY to that van, they suddenly didn't want anything to do with us. We called for about 2 weeks daily trying to speak with the manager and find another van. He was ALWAYS busy and "would call us back." Well, after that first day, we never actually spoke with them again. But in hind-sight, I am GLAD. They are scammers and who knows what we would have driven away with! DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. YOU CANNOT TRUST A WORD THEY SAY! More
I contacted this dealership for a quote on a new Ridgeline and got in return a one-lined email from someone named Mike with no other information. I replied and thanked him for his quote and told him that although it was higher than what other Honda dealerships gave me I would contact him again to see if he could do any better. After a week I received another email letting me know that "if it helps" he could "offer ZERO percent financing for 60 months". Well that sounded like a steal and it would have been but Honda doesnt offer 0% financing and what he didnt tell me was that he would give me the 0% but I would get charged the difference in the end. I replied another week later and asked him for his "out the door" price but never heard back from him. I wouldnt bother contacting this dealership. I have ZERO trust for Mike and this dealership and there are too many Honda dealers in the area not to go elsewhere. More
I purchased a 2009 CRV from this dealership and was met with nothing but problems when my driver’s seat broke. The protective casing came off the first week I had the car. I was without my car for a total of 7-days by the end of my third month of ownership. I attempted to get hold of the GM, Mike Warner, who never called me back over a two week period. In Sept. a new Service Manager came on the scene who only told me that he is not against people who are overweight. He told me that he would fix the seat. When I tried to contact him a few weeks later, he stated that he would no longer fix the seat under warrantee. I contacted Sonic and American Honda of which were no help. Finally American Honda stated that the dealer stated I was the cause of the seat breaking, therefore they would not fix the seat. When I asked how they determined that I was the cause, I was informed that the dealer stated I was too heavy for the car seat and therefore they were under no obligation to fix it. This dealership is the pits…they are not helpful and they are a bunch of shysters. BEWARE as they will totally take you for a ride. They have NO customer service. More
Got a front and rear brake job and a replacement for a taillight. Good responsive service, beat their quote (and everyone else's estimate). This is the closest dealer to me, and they had the car I wanted in the color I wanted in stock. I had gotten a quote from them that was pretty good, but they don't tell you up front about the $500 for mud f wanted in the color I wanted in stock. I had gotten a quote from them that was pretty good, but they don't tell you up front about the $500 for mud flaps and wheel locks - those parts RETAIL for less than $100, so what they might appear to be saving you in the price of the car they'll get you for on that (and a high dealer processing fee). I went in today to have my trade appraised. I'd done my homework and knew Edmunds and Kelly BB said I should get at least $15k for the car... their initial offer... THOUSANDS less. The car will sell new for $20k and they were hoping to turn a $8k profit off of it. I told them to get real and they came back with $14500 and then $15k. Mind you I hate the games of negotiations (which I'd told the manager Jeff in email) and I just kept asking for their best price. After I left they called and emailed back eventually offering $16k for my trade (if I came in today to buy). I tried calling Jeff to confirm the price and make sure there was nothing hidden, but after being on hold for 10 mins without him picking up, I decided I wasn't wasting any more time with these guys. I went to MileOne Heritage Honda of Westminster (near Baltimore). Their FIRST price on the car was the same as the best price I'd gotten from Tysons in the store, plus they were offering a better out the door price without the hassle. Bottom line: If you want/enjoy the headache of buying, see these guys. If you just want the best price and service, go read my review of MileOne Heritage Westminster. It's a no brainer.
