I swore off taking my vehicle to dealer service departments due to past negative experiences, which have led to mistrust. Instead, I take my vehicle to a smaller, independently-owned with less conv departments due to past negative experiences, which have led to mistrust. Instead, I take my vehicle to a smaller, independently-owned with less convenient hours because a family member recommended it and I trust it. However, out of desperation because I needed my vehicle in working order very soon, I went to Ourisman Honda against my better judgment. A different family member trusted their vehicle with them and I should have known better than to go to them given that family member’s exorbitant bill! I got a jaw-dropping oh high invoice and was greatly dismayed. I even heard a service tech explaining to a woman in the waiting room she would need much more than she came in for. I went back to my regular mechanic who did not have any appointments that same week who gave my vehicle a quick once-over. They pointed out Ourisman’s inflated prices and service items that they would bill separately, but that are included as part of other services with my mechanic. They also reassured me that some of the services were unnecessary and that the major issue that I did need might not actually require a full replacement, but could possibly be serviced with a new part. Ourisman reminded me to trust my instincts and be wary of dealer service departments. Despite declining the repairs, the dealer did not return me my vehicle claiming the technician had gone home for the day, even though the shop was open for a few more hours. When I called the next day asking for the status since my advisor informed me I would likely be able to get my vehicle about an hour after opening, I got someone on the phone who seemingly made up an answer. He simply said my vehicle was not done yet, clearly without doing any checking. When I told him what the advisor told me, only then did he say he needed to do research, then changed his answer. That place gives me bad vibes! When my relative took their vehicle there months earlier, I had to accompany them to give them a ride to pick up their vehicle. Their vehicle was not ready, despite them telling my relative it would be. While there, a tech was ready to go home at the end of his shift and the - I presume he was a manager - sort of spoke disrespectfully to the employee in check-in area telling the tech he could not leave because there was work to do and basically giving the employee no choice. I don’t know how they operate - whether they are forced to work overtime or have to stay longer than scheduled, but I felt uncomfortable witnessing that. I’m sticking to mom-and-pop establishments that give me peace of mind and don’t try to rob me. More

I had a wonderful experience at Laurel Honda. I was treated with respect, and felt that the service team had my best interests at the heart of their work. Marvin went out of his way to explain wh I was treated with respect, and felt that the service team had my best interests at the heart of their work. Mechanic’s work seems fine but the front service reception is a group of guys who are unprofessional. Everything they say is a diversion. Nothing is true. They say they will call, no call. They say they will come get you from the waiting area, nope didn’t do that either. Not to mention the drop off envelope with all my information was ignored and the service paperwork was in my husband’s name. Even as I corrected this with the guy at the desk, they still sent this email to my husband. More
