My overall experience at Ourisman Honda was excellent. I very much appreciated my time at Ourisman in finding *exactly* the Civic I wanted to lease. I was there all day and felt completely comfortable taking the time I needed with my decision. Steven was the primary person assigned to me, and he really did an exceptional job. While I very much respect car salesmen and women, several I've worked with in the past could unfortunately be described as unctuous, pushy, and manipulative. Steve Young not only exceeded my highest expectations for service, but also provides the utmost model of what an ethical, charismatic, intuitive car salesman really is. He sets an amazing example for those around him. I particularly enjoyed our test drive, during which his calm and friendly demeanor put me at ease in exploring my new stick shift. I also loved hearing about his wonderful family and sharing a little about my life. I really don't like the "small talk" that often comes with business deals, and Steven had an admirable way of dealing with me conversationally. His interest in my life was very genuine and I enjoyed not only my time discussing the car and lease with him, but also his assuaging of my many concerns. As I asked question after question, he provided thorough, clear answers to each in an honest manner I felt I could trust explicitly. I was very impressed (and thankful) when he took the time to bend down and relieve me of the very tedious task of scraping off my overly-adhesed parking sticker on the car I was trading in. It meant so much that he did that--especially after I was still winded from my trek up Ourisman's countless flights of stairs to see the roof lot. (I'm joking, but honestly--I'm a fairly sprightly young woman--what do you do for elderly customers?) Now, it was NOT Steven that took me up those stairs--I'm SURE he would have brought the car down for me!! In sum, Steven Young is one of the greatest salesmen I've ever encountered and I'm grateful not only for the lease he procured for the example he set and the knowledge he imparted!! Tony Ramazani was an extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly sales manager. I did a great deal of research on buying my Honda Accord,looking at consumer rankings, and also spoke with dealers throug and friendly sales manager. I found that Tony and Ourisman were the best. I liked him so much that I referred another customer to him and plan to do so again. Walter was wonderful to work with. I walked in the dealer expecting a pushy salesperson who would not honor the price he agreed to when I corresponded with him via email (sorry, but you know car salesmen's r expecting a pushy salesperson who would not honor the price he agreed to when I corresponded with him via email (sorry, but you know car salesmen's reputations!) However, Walter was patient, honest, nice, cheerful and did not pressure me into buying any accessories I did not want. He got me the price I wanted for my new car as well as my trade-in. Walter knew I was in a rush, so he did everything he could do to accommodate my time frame. I will definitely recommend him to friends and family who are buying a Honda. More
We had a really good experience with Ourisman Honda, in fact we purchased a new Pilot and a 2008 Civic for our son. The prices were very competitive and they treated us with respect. The dealership has a very good reputation and we plan on having all of our services performed there. We also purchased added bumper to bumper warranties for both cars; 5 yrs 100K for the Pilot and 3Yrs 36K additional miles on the Civic. We would highly recommend Ourisman to our friends and family and we thank Kwame Joseph for doing a great job. More
We used Edmunds.com to solicit a quote for a new 2010 Honda Accord from several dealers. Mr. Whitford contacted me by phone and email to offer his help. He gave me a great price over the phone, among the lowest. When we arrived at the dealer, he was very courteous and showed us the car with the color that we reserved. My wife wanted to see the same model with a different color and Mr. Whitford drove us to the parking/storage area and showed us the new car. We eventually bought the car with the original chosen color, but he was very accommodating in showing us the car with a different color. The price we paid is the same one we negotiated over the phone previously. There was no pressure sales pitch. He showed us how to use all the buttons/controls/instruments of the car. He even pre-set several of our favorite radio stations for us. He also called us a couple of days after we picked up the new car to see if we have any questions. The paper process was very efficient and quick. Even though the business/finance department of the dealer tried to sell us extended warranty and extra protection services, we declined all of them. They were not offended and there was no pressure selling. More
I have purchased many, many cars in my life---I have never had a buying experience as satisfying and as fun as my two recent experiences with Ourisman Honda. In the last six months I've purchased two Hondas--and the sales staff and sales manager ciould not have been more helpful or competitive. Where or not I got the best deal I could I'll never know---but I do know that I got two very fair deals working with a dealership I love to deal with and with folks I know honestly can say are my friends. If yiou want to purchase a new ort used Honda--my unqualified strong advice is look no further than Ourisman Honda----from top to bottom--they are the best!!!! More
This dealer's M.O. is to put a bunch of extra equipment you don't want on the car -- fender guards, door guards, nitrogen in tires -- and then tell you that you have no choice but to take it and accept rid you don't want on the car -- fender guards, door guards, nitrogen in tires -- and then tell you that you have no choice but to take it and accept ridiculous prices to the tune of $800 extra for this crap. They also are kings of hidden fees, double charging, etc. Beware of them. Any DC area Honda dealer, ie bill page or brown's or koons -- would be far better. If you like being treated like a sucker, go to Ourisman. More
I was quoted a price over the phone for a 1999 Honda Pilot Demo and a 2010 Honda Pilot. Not only was the model wrong, the price changed as did the price they quoted on the 2010 Honda Pilot. They had a "good cop, bad cop" routine going. Very sleezy, unprofessional behavior. More
My wife and I spent FIVE HOURS at this dealership wasting our time!!! I bought a care there four years ago and had a good experience. I went back looking to buy a CRV and was shocked and utterly disappointed by their careless attitude and utter lack of respect for the customer. I called around asking for the selection and inventory of other local dealers and asked for their over the phone prices. Two gave me a range of $27k to $29k. Reza, the manager, assured my wife and I repeatedly that he would do his best to "make you happy" because we were repeat customers. I would not trust to ever do business with this man. His sales technique demonstrates a lack of respect and professional morals. The sales associate, Steve Young, did not appear to do much of anything. They kept us waiting for 45 minutes before they brought down a car for us to view. And when we didn't like the color, it took another 30 minutes to get another car. When it came time to discuss price, Reza assured us that he would give us a good deal. LIE. Rather he initially quoted us MSRP!!! Then he said, he'll do better and he quoted invoice. This was during the Honda Clearance event that they advertise so much with the stupid cartoon. When we said that was too much, he asked for a price we would be able to live with. We stated $2k less than invoice. He flatly refused and then laughed at us. He and the other staff were ridiculing us!!! Jerks! We explained that two other dealers quoted us $1,500 less than Ourisman's offer, and Reza accused me of lying! We told them that another local dealer was receiving a shipment that afternoon of 6 CRV's with two the exact color combo that we wanted he said that he was "going to check with his manager." Instead, he pulled the other dealer's inventory to see if my explanation checked out. He told me that they were not getting the color car we wanted at the other dealer (lie) and that if I could get a better price elsewhere, I should go there, get it in writing and bring it back to him. I asked if he would then beat that price. He said NO!!! Why the heck would I bother dealing with these jerks every again? My wife and I went to that other dealer. They told me that they though I would be coming by and they kept the CRV they promised out front. We got it for a better deal than was quoted over the phone and we were out of the dealership in an hour and a half. Bottom line. Reza should be fired. Steve Young is a worthless salesman. AND NEVER SHOP AT OURISMAN HONDA - BETHESDA. EVER!!! More
