We went to this dealer because they had the specific Jeep Wrangler I wanted (having reviewed all the Jeep dealer inventories in the immediate area online). I went online, entered the vehicle I was intereste Wrangler I wanted (having reviewed all the Jeep dealer inventories in the immediate area online). I went online, entered the vehicle I was interested in, and requested an online price quote. Darnell called us early the next day and said he would find the specific Jeep we were interested in, and would call back to let us know if it was still available. He called, it was, and we went down for a test drive. As this is our third Jeep Wrangler purchase, we really didn't have many technical questions, but Darnell was very familiar with the vehicle. Those questions we did ask, for which he didn't have an answer, he was more than willing to find someone who had the answer. They offered the Jeep at a decent price, and offered us a fair price on our trade-in. The only glitch occurred with the paperwork - we signed the preliminary paperwork, which spelled out the price for the new jeep, our trade-in price, taxes, title/plate transfer, etc., but when we went to sign the final printed paperwork, the bottom line was a thousand dollars higher than the price to which we had signed/agreed on the preliminary paperwork. When requested to see the original paperwork, we discovered someone had changed a number, resulting in the thousand dollar increase. When we pointed out this mistake to the finance rep, she didn't know who had changed the numbers. When called in, the dealership GM insisted that there had been a mathematical error and that we owed the thousand dollars more that we had originally agreed/signed. When we pointed out that if there was a mistake in the addition, it had never been explained to us or an explanation offered up as to why. In fact, had someone come to us, explained that there had been an addition mistake, and asked us to initial a change in the figures, it would have been fine. But to have to discover this mistake ourselves, and then to realize that changes had been made to figures for which we had previously agreed and signed, was untenable. After much discussion, and being the fair individuals we are, we agreed to split the difference. An otherwise pleasant car buying experience was nevertheless, tainted by that 15 minute discussion wherein the dealership GM tried his best to bully us into just accepting responsibility for his error. I would caution all, that as with any transaction you make in life, be sure you review all the figures, ensure translation of all written figures to a printed contract are the same, and ensure that you review everything in the contract before signing. As a final note, when we discovered we had left a CD in the old Wrangler, we texted Darnell and he recovered the CD for us. I can't say enough about his enthusiasm, professionalism, and good humor. Highly recommend any and all to use Darnell for their new/used car purchase. More
Initially when Jeep called I gave this dealership a 9/10, a week later I made sure I called Jeep back and changed the rating from a 9/10 to a 0/10. I went to Lustine to buy a new Wrangler. they had the colo a week later I made sure I called Jeep back and changed the rating from a 9/10 to a 0/10. I went to Lustine to buy a new Wrangler. they had the color I wanted and gave me an e price that was exactly what I wanted. When I was ready to buy they started to claim they couldn't honor the Eprice, they would have to charge more plus there would be tax and fees. I was not willing to budge and said honor the Eprice which I was financing and Id pay 2500 down for tax and these "fees." I am from Washington state so I am thinking 10% sales tax =2k and 500 for fees. They finally agree to honor the eprice and I pay 2500 in addition to the Eprice. I now know that sale tax in MD is 6% meaning they got over 1k in stupid fees. That's my fault though I should have done my research. What really pisses me off though is a few days later reading through my stuff I realize despite telling me to my face I was getting the Eprice they actually charged me $500 dollars more. Make sure you read everything before you sign. I was young and dumb, I am military and didn't think they would lie to me. The customer service only got worse, my salesman said he would call me the next day to make sure everything was working fine with the Jeep. Never got the call, voicemail, nothing. I bought some aftermarket work. I was told I would get a call to set it up, ten days later no call and when I read the receipt it says you have 30 days to get it done or it becomes void. I faxed over my insurance information the day after buying my Jeep, and emailed finance to confirm they got it and to ask some questions. Week goes by no response so then I call the finance department, get an answering machine leave a message asking for a call back. 48 hours later no call back, no email. I then decided to call Mike the general manager. He at least answers. I tell him I am unhappy with the lack of communication. He apologizes says they are busy and understaffed. Really? If I had called or emailed saying I wanted to buy a Jeep I would have gotten a response within an hour guaranteed. Instead 10 days later I am forced to call the general manager. Mike turns out to be no help, makes excuses, he assumes they got my "information," still haven't heard back if they did. I then start to ask my questions I have such as when do I get my plates. He says well you need to get an inspection in MD (I had called an auto shop earlier in the week and they said new cars don't need the inspection). Mike then admitted he wasn't sure. At this point rolling my eyes and decide to just give up. I wish I knew who the owner was so I could give him a piece of my mind. More
Had an overall good experience here. Really friendly staff, only thing is, as a college student they weren't too inclined to take me seriously without my parents, which I understandable, however, when m staff, only thing is, as a college student they weren't too inclined to take me seriously without my parents, which I understandable, however, when my parents are sending me out to do everything so I can learn the process, it gets difficult when all they ask for is your parents! Sometimes communication would break down and they wouldnt call back or I'd get calls from multiple employees and get different answers from each, but in the end they got me the car i wanted. BUT, I will say that Donnie Lancaster is THE MAN. Donnie Stayed in touch with me for months about a new 2011 Dodge Charger and crunched numbers for me and got me a price that I could work with. If you want a new car, call Donnie Lancaster. He got my a 2011 Charger from a different state, drove it to the dealership himself and got everything done for me. Highly recommend Lustine of Woodbridge and I'll be taking my mom back later this year when she starts her search for a new car. More
We were looking for a used vehicle and had done our research before stopping in. They quoted us $5000 over their own internet price... because we acted like we didn't know the asking price. We also loo research before stopping in. They quoted us $5000 over their own internet price... because we acted like we didn't know the asking price. We also looked at a Pacifica before it was priced and detailed and the salesperson quoted us almost $3000 over what it was put up on the website for. What a bunch of thieves! Glad I didn't do business with them. More
Thank God that Basil took our call and that John and Kevin were able to work the numbers on our behalf! Basil was a star. He was patient, kind, considerate and most of all, he LISTENED to our needs throughout the whole process. We enjoyed the customer service presentation as well, (although we will wait to purchase some of those perks in the future). I have already recommended your dealership and Basil specifically to my Mother and Sister - both who no longer have car payments and will be in the market very soon! Thanks for making this purchase a painless one! More

I went into Lustine on Easter with NO INTENTION whatsoever of buying a car. But what can I say, Al was so pleasant, Mike worked so hard to negotiate a good deal with me, and my experience at Lusti whatsoever of buying a car. But what can I say, Al was so pleasant, Mike worked so hard to negotiate a good deal with me, and my experience at Lustine was so enjoyable that I walked out and drove home in a brand new car! Al was a fantastic sales associate, he was friendly, accommodating, personable, knowledgeable, and just overall concerned about the quality of the service he provided. I had to go back a couple of times after the sale for floor mats that were not provided (as they should have been) upon sale date and Al did what he could to expedite the process of getting me my mats by trying to find some in another vehicle; he was upset at how long it was taking for me to receive them from the manufacturer. There weren't any available already on the lot; however, he was diligent in staying in touch with me to let me know when they were available for pick up and was very apologetic at how long it was taking me to receive them. When I went to pick them up and he saw me in the showroom, he came over and warmly greeted me and even hugged me to say hello. Al is a wonderful salesman and I would recommend him to anyone. The experience I had at the last Chrysler dealership up in Alexandria (Passport) was horrible to say the least. The person who sold me my last car (too bad I don't remember his name) couldn't have cared less about my satisfaction, I think because he knew I desperately needed a car; my time (from insurance company) was about to be up on the rental I had from the vehicle I had wrecked. Therefore, the salesman was aloof, wouldn't even provide me with a new GPS disc...the one in the car was a year old, and the GM refused to negotiate a price with me. (I really shouldn't have bought the car, but like they knew, I really needed one that day). I get the impression that Al would have given me superb service whether or not I was desperate for a car. He seems to be the kind of salesman who believes in building relationships with his customers. If we don't move before we need another car, and if Al's still around the shop at that time, I will definitely go to him again. Mike, the GM, gave no less in the way of customer service. Although he was the guy I negotiated with, it was a friendly negotiation and I never felt bullied, though pressure is the name of the game on the negotiating table (I'd much rather deal with a little pressure and have the option to negotiate than go to a dealership (like Carmax) where there is no negotiation and you get the car for the price advertised). I feel I ended up getting a great deal for my car, and Mike worked hard to meet my demands. During the times I had to return for the floor mat issue, he also was around and gave a warm greeting just as Al had. Overall, the entire team at Lustine Chrysler is top notch. I've never walked in there w/out receiving a timely and warm welcome and anyone I have spoken to has gone out of their way to help me. I will never step foot in Passport Chrysler again (I had determined that after I purchased my car from them 5 years ago) but would be happy to go straight back to Lustine when the time comes to purchase another vehicle. I haven't used Lustine's service department yet for oil changes, etc. so I can't comment on that, but I can't imagine that a company who has proven to me that they can provide such exceptional service to their purchasing customers would not also demand the same for their service customers. I hope I'm right in that assumption. More
I would like to thank Darlene Breeden for her excellent work ethics. She listened to my problems with my new Dodge Nitro and she is going to take care of the problem right this time! She is the only one I will work with when I go in to the dealership. Thanks Joe More
I recently purchased a new Ram 1500. Upon arrival at the dealership I was greeted by Gabe Maxi who walked me through the extensive inventory. He was knowledgeable on the different features of the various R dealership I was greeted by Gabe Maxi who walked me through the extensive inventory. He was knowledgeable on the different features of the various Ram models and was very friendly and pleasant to work with. I don't generally care for salesmen but Gabe made me feel welcome. Gabe stayed with me through the trade in of my old vehicle and the purchase of the new Ram. The entire Lustine team worked with me to come to agreeable terms and an acceptable financing solution. Brandi in Financial Services went over all the options available to me and took her time to explain the benefits of each option along with total cost. But the service didn't stop there. When I went back to get accessories installed on the Ram, Jennifer Bartley greeted me at the Service Department and worked quickly to ensure all my needs were met. She arranged a rental car for me and kept me posted on progress. I had a similar experience with Troy Robb when getting another car serviced, which speaks to the pride and professionalism of this department. I have never been treated this well by a service department. But, there is always something that doesn't go smoothly. The maintenance technician discovered that the bed extender was not going to work with the tonneau cover I had selected. That is where Darlene Breeden stepped in to help out. I had been working with her on the purchase of a bedliner that I neglected to include at the time of purchase. She quickly worked with me to swap the bed extender for the bedliner and also executed a refund of money owed to me without any hassle. While I was waiting at the dealer, she even offered her personal car to me if I needed to go get some food. She really went above and beyond to make the entire experience pleasant. I will continue to do business with Lustine in the future. More
