I hate to give a bad score because I absolutely LOVE the person who works on my car, Larry. I specifically come back to this dealership time and time again soley based on the level of honesty and integrity person who works on my car, Larry. As a female I have had dealerships attempt to sell me on repairs that are ridiculous and Lustine has never done that. That is why I keep coming back. I hate to say though- my entire day was ruined yesterday due to lack of communication. There was more wrong with my car than I thought. Stacy was nice and did try to work with me on the price- he even tried to get me a rental car although that wouldn't have been necessary had proper communication been adhered to. He was nice overall- attempted to be accomidating with getting my daughter and I to lunch and what not since we had been there so long... but so much more could have been avoided had they just told me my car needed to stay overnight. There was apparently an issue with getting some parts for my car. I had brought my car in at 10am and thought I would probably be done by around 3 or 3:30. When 4pm rolled around Stacy came in to get someone else and I thought he had come in to get me. I explained that I had a dinner planned in my honor and that I needed to leave- would my car be done soon? He offered a rental, but then I remembered that my license wasn't with me and that wouldn't work out. I had to have my husband come get me and he didn't arrive until about 5pm. The dinner that had been planned for my homecoming from Iraq started at 5pm and the guests were already there. I hadn't even showered and was still about 30 minutes from home at the dealership. Needless to say my night was pretty much ruined. By the time I got there, as the guest of honor, everyone had already eaten and I spent most of my time apologizing to my friends instead of enjoying myself... everything was rushed and people had to leave... it was awful. The reason why this was an issue was because at one point my husband had come to the dealership from work to pick up our daughter. He had to leave work early to get our daughter and pick up our boys since my car wasn't done when we thought it would be. Had I known that there were issues with getting parts I could have just left with my husband and not worried about anything. Now, due to my car not being done yesterday, my husband had to leave work to take our kids to school and then he has to drive back to take me to a dentist appointment that I'd be charged for if I cancelled. His work is NOT happy. We had no intention of the car staying overnight- If this had been communicated earlier I could have cancelled my dentist appointment without being charged and arranged a ride for my kids to school. I could have made it to my own homecoming dinner no problem. All I needed was for Stacey to say HEY- we're having problems getting parts... can you leave your car overnight? (earlier than an hour before they closed and the only reason I found out was because I happened to mention my dinner- not because he came in to even tell me that there were issues) I'm very disappointed. More
My wife and I enjoyed working with Al Crawford on this transaction. He is very easy to work with and met our every need. He worked with us to find the right vehicle at the right price. After an exhaustive search online, looking at dealerships from New York to Florida, I found the car I wanted at the price I wanted on Lustine's website. In dealing with previous dealerships, the online deals are just bait to get you in the door - not the case at Lustine. I stopped by the dealership after work and met with Monty, a great young salesman who is smart and treats his customers with respect. From my experience, this is very surprising in the car industry. He took me on a test drive and his knowledge about the vehicle (2012 Dodge Avenger R/T) was impressive. Then we sat down and discussed price. I expected several stressful hours of haggling, but that simply wasn't the case. Monty explained the incentives that were being offered at the time and I found out I qualified for several cash back offers I didn't even know about (recent college grad, USAA). I was waiting for the pressure to come, but it never came. I hashed out the details with Monty and Matt Lepage (a manager), and drove home with a great car at an amazing price. I've had my car for several months now and have had no problems. I will be going back to Lustine for my first oil change soon - the first one is on the house! Great experience, Great dealership. We had communicated with Monty weeks prior before coming to the dealership and from the get-go he was very friendly, knowledgeable and seemed to have a genuine passion for what he does. In all honesty, we had already decided to purchase a vehicle from the dealership next door, but decided to look around Dodge while we were waiting for it to be finalized. Monty sold us instantly and even though the vehicle i originally spoke to him about was no longer available, he did everything in his power to make sure we left with a comparable one, around the same price point! The manager bent over backwards and included several incentives, as well as a great price for our trade-in. The rest of the staff we encountered were also very friendly and we felt no pressure, as a result. We ended up very happy purchasing from them, and would definitely recommend this dealership. BTW, they even called the dealership next door for us to let them know that we were no longer interested in purchasing their vehicle - now that's excellent customer service for you!
