My father won a sweepstakes and got his Dodge Grand Caravan from your dealership. He was required to pay for tax and tags in accordance with the sweepstakes rules. You also charged him for the Destinat Caravan from your dealership. He was required to pay for tax and tags in accordance with the sweepstakes rules. You also charged him for the Destination fee which you were not supposed to do. Mike Engle, General Manager has been telling him that his refund has been "in the mail" for the last several months. If the check is not received by the end of this month, we plan to go to small claims court to get the refund. More
I am in the market for a new vehicle. On 16 Oct 2012 I decided to stop by Lustine Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep in Woodbridge, VA. I was approached by Sam Johnson, during our typical introductory pleasantries decided to stop by Lustine Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep in Woodbridge, VA. I was approached by Sam Johnson, during our typical introductory pleasantries; I explained to Mr Johnson that I was interested in finding out information on the new Chrysler 300. Mr Johnson (who's very knowledgably) proceeded to show me a 300c model, I explained that I was not interested in the 300c as my purpose was to spend less money. We drove to off-site holding area. Mr Johnson showed me several 300c and I reminded him of my interest in other 300 models as I had a budget in mind. There were no vehicles in that lot which accommodated my budget, Mr Johnson said that he believed there could be some wiggle room in some 2012 models. I agreed to go into dealership, but reminded him that I was not purchasing that evening. I also informed him that I was already approved through my financial institution and I needed to obtain a purchase order to complete the buying process (not that night). Once at the dealership, we proceeded to fill some information (paperwork) and have my existing vehicle appraised. I reminded Mr Johnson that at least we could get that out of the way, even though I was not ready to buy (on this day). It was past 7:00 pm, and I was in the dealership office for over 45 minutes. I finally told the sales person that I needed to leave and was planning on returning the next day at 4:00pm. On our way out, there was some stalling, as the appraiser was driving my car. As soon as Mr Johnson and I walked out the appraiser showed up with my car, looked around the car while being on the phone. The appraiser continued to walk into the dealership and was intercepted by Mr Johnson who got my keys. The next morning, I was contacted via email by the dealership; the message was to confirm my 4:00pm appointment. The number and contact information was from Mr Lepage. Since I never received a business card from Mr Johnson, I decided to contact Mr Lepage instead. I introduced myself after pleasantries I asked him about my vehicle appraisal. Mr Lepage informed that nothing was completed since I did not choose a vehicle the evening before. I was somehow puzzled by his comments as I saw with my own eyes that my vehicle was indeed appraised. If not, where did the person who was driving my car go for 45 minutes? After my comment Mr Lepage went to mention that my car showed an accident in 2008. I replied yes, this had been told by me the evening before to Mr Johnson while we filled paperwork. Mr Lepage then went on to say, we can give you $6000 for your car. I explained to Mr Lepage that that same day CarMax had offered me $8000, his reply was we can give $8500. Immediately, I felt like I am being played with. A few seconds ago you are telling me no appraisal was done, and then you are offering $8500? Clearly, you all looked, drove and appraised my car, I can also understand you want me in there so that I can purchase a car from you, as I wanted to purchase from you. The appraisal process is independent from which type of car I decide to buy from your lot! Mr Lepage reply come in and choose a vehicle and I will tell you how much we are to offer you. I proceeded to thank him for his time and hung up. A minute later Mr Lepage called me back, Mr Johnson was according to him listening in. I at the time was still quite dumbfounded by Mr Lepage 'tactics'. I told him that I did not appreciate someone taking my car for no reason at all. What did the person do go out for pizza? I informed then both that I was going else where for my car acquisition. About 15 minutes later, Mr Johnson called in. We spoke for 15-20 minutes and told him of my intent to go elsewhere. He informed me to give Lustine a chance. My reply was that if his management team stops playing games and be trustful I would. My conversation with Mr Johnson ended as such 'I will be going out to see other dealers as I WILL be purchasing a car in the next 24-36 hours. Check with you management team as see what is the best offer form my car. Once you have that call me back. Later in the evening Mr Johnson calls but since I was with a salesperson else where, I did not pick up. At my first opportunity, I called him back and he (Johnson) said that he spoke with someone at Lustine and could offer more than $8500, specifically in the $9000 range. Today, I am in Columbia SC dealing with a family matter. Stupid I decide to call your dealership once again to discuss my previous conversation with Mr Johnson. Since, Mr Johnson is off today, I called Mr Lepage. He proceeds to tell me that there is nothing concrete on my car. In fact no appraisal has been decided upon, he goes on to say Lustine sells more cars that anyone else (Not for long, with personnel like him) and that I need to STOP WASTING HIS TIME and come in. Well Mr Lepage you are lucky I am 400 plus miles away... Now that I have told you about my horrendous experience with your dealership, let me tell you something about me. I was an Army officer for 11 years until due to a parachute accident was forced to retire early; from there I worked for 12 years as a Senior Vice President for Nations Bank, later Bank of America. I was in charge of 46 banking centers throughout Central Florida; deposits were in the billions, 116 banking personnel, and most important thousand of satisfied clients. In all of my years in the service/sales arena, extensive car buying experiences, I have NEVER, EVER been told you are WASTING MY TIME! Also Mr Boston when you leave a message with a prospect, specifically to someone who does not know you, please do not call me 'buddy'. Be more professional. To Lustine and Chrysler senior leadership, you are in a very difficult business, competition is very aggressive and having individuals whom may be used to managing a hot dog stand, are not; should not be the your brand face, and I 'the customer' must have to put up with. I certainly did expect more from your Chrysler Brand. More
The sales managers I worked with were very manipulative. I have purchased 12 cars in my life. This the first time I ever purchased a car and immediately was dissatisfied. Wow, Lustine...you hit this one outta the park!! Thank you!!! Sarah Byrd is a rockstar!! She was not only able to get me into my dream car, a Dodge Challenger, but she also helped me get a loan that you!!! Sarah Byrd is a rockstar!! She was not only able to get me into my dream car, a Dodge Challenger, but she also helped me get a loan that would help me re-establish credit! My recent divorce left me drained financially and with a car I no longer had a need for. When I went in to see about my options, Sarah immediately made me feel at home and at ease. She was literally running around the sales floor trying to get my deal processed in a timely and efficient manner. She explained every step of the financing process, which made it a lot easier to sign and stayed after hours to ensure the deal went through. I would recommend Lustine Dodge to anyone looking for a great deal and a family type atmosphere. Thank you Sarah, James, and Matt...you guys are a magnificent team!! More
This place is horrible. Not only does the general manager have no time to do his job and talk to customers who have trouble and pawns the person off to some one on his staff, they tell you, you are getting s have no time to do his job and talk to customers who have trouble and pawns the person off to some one on his staff, they tell you, you are getting something and you end up getting a different vehicle. This place needs to be shut down. My wife an I went in there looking for 2 new cars. Our salesmen who was less then impressive could not help us. My wife asked to see a few cars they had on line and we were told they were all sold out. We then found one we like and they said they do not have the car we wanted in stock but they have a red one. We ended up buying the red one. We were told the car was a 2013 and it also had sattlelight radio. The next day my wife finds out not only the car is a 2012 but it does not have sattlelight radio. The dealership tried to make it up by offering us oil changes and a remote start but would do nothing about selling us a 2012 and not a 2013. Be very careful with this dealership. They are a big false advertisement. They do not have the best prices and inventory in town and they can be outdone. Good luck trying to get any help with this dealership. Finally the GM has comments saying he is willing to help, well there is another lie. I called the bank we financed both cars through and was told we were not told correctly about the payments and rates we would get. Last of all my wife found some things wrong with her car and tried to get them fixed. After several calls to the dealership she got a guy who tells her that he can do nothing for her due to negative reviews. If cars could be returned this would be the first thing we would do. All I can say is shop around and do not go here. There is no one at this delaership especially management that is worth anything. I have a feeling there are several reviews on here that are fake do to people being told give them a good review and they will be hooked up. Read reviews on line about this place they are horrible and fit the same pattern as my review, especially when it comes to management of this place. More
My husband and I had a great experience at lustine dodge mostly when it came to the financial department, where we met Sarah Byrd. She has gone above and beyond for my husband and I even when it was out mostly when it came to the financial department, where we met Sarah Byrd. She has gone above and beyond for my husband and I even when it was out if her job description I couldn't believe how much she helped us meet every need and then some! She made our experience well worth it and a lot more rewarding. I recommended this dealership to Two different people and they both bought vehicles and both had great experiences. I also recommended Sarah for them for their financial needs. I would even feel comfortable enough to call her and ask any questions I have due to Her knowledge with every department. More
