Went to the dealership for a service call and ended up trading my Beetle in for a lease on a 2014 Jetta. Samir was our sales associate and did everything possible to make sure my wife and I were at all ti trading my Beetle in for a lease on a 2014 Jetta. Samir was our sales associate and did everything possible to make sure my wife and I were at all times satisfied with our decision. Can't say enough for everyone we dealt with through the whole process. Friendly, knowledgeable, informative, professional, I can go on and on. It's the stuff that makes for a long term relationship. I would highly recommend David Maus to anyone looking to buy, lease or service your vehicle. More
I have been to the dealership several times because I have always been told that the dealership will diagnose issues better and be more forthcoming with recalls. However, that has not been the case what have always been told that the dealership will diagnose issues better and be more forthcoming with recalls. However, that has not been the case what so ever. I had a tire blow out that was replaced by this dealership, not only did they not document which tire they had replaced but they negated their initial claim of being an authorized dealer for Michelin. This claim would make it possible for them to take claims for tire warranty. After my tire blew out, it was completely emaciated, the dealership then claimed they are not able to make any inferences regarding the tire and claimed that they could not even verify the tire was a Michelin due to its state. I understand that only the bare minimum of the side wall was left, but I have always had work done at a dealership and have never taken it any where else-yet their records were incomplete. The representative then stated I needed to replace two more of the tires, despite the fact I had it in the dealership not even three weeks before that and the tires were "checked". I went ahead and replaced three tires, but had to argue to get the coupon that the dealership emailed me used for the tires-the coupon was off of labor. The representative blamed my poor driving for the blow out, but claimed the other tires were in "decent shape". When I inquired how my poor driving would impact only ONE tire, he stated that everyone's driving was different. I inquired what the benefit of going to a dealership was over someone else, the representative stated that dealerships would do a more thorough check of the vehicle and be more helpful when it came to issues with the car. After I pointed out the tires were fit to drive three weeks ago and gave him the write up for the car he walked away without a second word. I was also told they would wash the car for me since it was not done the time before when I had it in for service, they hosed it off as I could run my finger over it and come up with dirt-the car was still wet when I got it back 3 hours later. I will not come back to this dealership for anything, as I have not seen any benefit in taking my car to the dealer. More
I called in about a used cc and asked if they had it on the lot, and troy said they did but i explained to them that i just came from another dealership that told me they did and when i got there they trie the lot, and troy said they did but i explained to them that i just came from another dealership that told me they did and when i got there they tried to put me on another car, but troy reassured me that the vehicle was there and that he was the used car manager and would not sell it until i got there and a chance to look at it. When i arrived to the dealer i was promptly greeted and to my surprise the car was waiting for me at the front of the store. My credit was a little shaky but i was not treated any different because of it like i have felt at other dealers. jhonson made the financing part a breeze. thanks again david maus volkswagen south!! i love my new car!! I've been to David Maus before and my expectations were already low. I saw a car I wanted and was actually searching for. I found it on cargurus.com. I inquired about the car and went to go see were already low. I saw a car I wanted and was actually searching for. I found it on cargurus.com. I inquired about the car and went to go see it. Samir was the person who contacted me through internet sales. I drove it, I liked it and I wanted it. I needed someone to cosign with me so I was going to get my dad to do so. He's busy and prefers me to work the numbers out and just sign his name to the title. I had my dad fill out the credit app like they asked me to online. I told Samir I forget to ask for the internet price and that I wanted that incorporated into the deal. He responds with, " I'm not worried about the price at this point, I'm just trying to secure the financing before Sunday and we'll incorporate the E-price." Okay, that doesn't give me an idea on what the price is. Sounds like a game was trying to be played. I told him I'd stop by today, but after nobody wanting to talk to me over the phone (because I am busy and didn't want to drive 30 mins to a dealership to waste my time) it kind of put me off. After taking care of necessary phones calls to my insurance company about my totaled car and if I'm clear to purchase another, I decided to drive and hour past Orlando to Deland to RC Hill Mitsu and listen to what they had to offer first. Hey, if somebody would have called me to talk numbers over the phone, I would have purchased the car if it worked out. If you can purchase a house over the phone and not a car, that's just plain stupid and you're wasting people's time. I ended up purchasing a Mitsubishi from RC Hill with an impeccable deal. I only pay $1 more a month for my new car compared to my wrecked car. Also came with an amazing warranty program that covers the entire car, even the tires, for 6 years! Think twice before you go to David Maus. His dealerships are not the greatest. If you're wanting a VW, go to Aristocrat. They've been in the business longer with VW. More
The following is expressed; In My Opinion. I was interested in purchasing a used 2008 Beetle. Unfortunately for me Harry Mapes from David Maus VW South was my sales person. Most of our contact was v interested in purchasing a used 2008 Beetle. Unfortunately for me Harry Mapes from David Maus VW South was my sales person. Most of our contact was via e-mails; either Harry would not or choose to ignore my questions on more that one occasion. When it was apparent to Harry that I would be unable to come into the dealership for several days; Harry became rude and sarcastically advised me that prior to arriving at the dealership I would need to fill out a credit application at the David Maus website, even tho I had been approved for a loan from another source and Harry was aware of this. This was a requirement of the dealership so that management could verify that they would be able to close a deal with me. Additionally a $500 or about that amount (It seemed that Harry was not exactly sure what amount would be required) would be needed to Hold the car for me. In questioning Harry why this dealership requires both the application and hold money; he was unable to give me a sincere answer and assured me that the money would be refunded if a deal was not closed. It appears the the Daid Maus TV commerical stating WE'll Do Whatever It Takes To Earn Your Business; or worlds to that effect are true and allows the David Maus Group the chance to possibly run a scam on unknowing people. This is of course; In My Opinion. I personally believe this shady customer service executed by the David Maus Group should be shared with everyone.. In ending; the phrase Buyer Beware definitely applies; in my opinion. More

From the signing of the paperwork, to the explanation of warranties, service was exceptional. I was especially thankful for all the time spent to familiarize me with dynamics of the car. I traveled a good distance home from the dealership and felt comfortable with my trip and all the new features. I would definitely recommend this dealership to others. As a matter of fact, my daughter drives an '06 Jetta and is seriously considering a newer model at this dealership. Thanks again to everyone at David Maus! More
