Service department , be aware!! Sales department ( check, no mayor issues, do your homework online, find the best price, and negotiate with them, if the are not willing to do so, go Sales department ( check, no mayor issues, do your homework online, find the best price, and negotiate with them, if the are not willing to do so, go to some other place) Parts department ( check, no problem, same principle , do your homework before buy anything) Service department , now we have a serious problem, and mayor issue! The culture in this department is ( and probably their Motto) the customer never is right, and we are not, repeat, we are not willing to take ownership of a warranty issue, neither a wrongdoing for one of our staff. If you paid for extended warranty or got the Zak treatment , brace yourself for many tricks in this dealership. They won't , believe me, they won't accept , neither help you in a sincere way to fix whatever their responsibility is. They are right always, and the customer claim always, and I say loud and clear, always will be without merits. David Maus, I know Keith is related to you someway. But boy, he is killing your business in South OBT. After I bought four cars in the past five years , I'm done dealing with Keith and his cronies. More

I had not intended to buy a new car when I rolled out of bed last Wednesday. Then I got the bad news from my service advisor, Kevin. The stroke my 2001 Beetle had suffered was "terminal." I couldn't justify bed last Wednesday. Then I got the bad news from my service advisor, Kevin. The stroke my 2001 Beetle had suffered was "terminal." I couldn't justify the potential repair bill for a car nearly 13 years old. The prospect of having to buy a new car without the opportunity to research or do homework was stressful, but Chris was very understanding, and there was no pressure to buy. We reached a point after the test drive of a 2014 Passat when Chris asked what the chances might be that I would be buying a new car that day. I replied, "I thought you realized that it was a given. I need a new car." Although my stresses were self-imposed, Chris, Daniel in finance, and all the people I interacted with had a calming effect. For financial reasons, I was hoping that my old car would hang on for another year, but it had other plans. I have been very pleased with Volkswagen as a brand, as well as the service department at David Maus VW South. Other than the brief times I've lived out of state, I've brought my Beetle here its whole life, and have only had the best of experiences. I would definitely recommend David Maus Volkswagen South for purchasing or servicing your car. More
Overall the staff is rude and unhelpful. I have a full warranty on my car but it is based in New Jersey, instead of calling the dealership that I took my warranty out with they decided to call me and tell warranty on my car but it is based in New Jersey, instead of calling the dealership that I took my warranty out with they decided to call me and tell me that I had to pay $200 for my inspection. I called the Dealership myself and got all of the information faxed over to Roger. It took four hours for them to complete a 60,000 mile service with an appointment. They refused to check other problems that I had with the car and when I got home service light came on saying that one of my lights was still out. Needless to say I would not recommend their service department to anyone. More

Went to the dealership for a service call and ended up trading my Beetle in for a lease on a 2014 Jetta. Samir was our sales associate and did everything possible to make sure my wife and I were at all ti trading my Beetle in for a lease on a 2014 Jetta. Samir was our sales associate and did everything possible to make sure my wife and I were at all times satisfied with our decision. Can't say enough for everyone we dealt with through the whole process. Friendly, knowledgeable, informative, professional, I can go on and on. It's the stuff that makes for a long term relationship. I would highly recommend David Maus to anyone looking to buy, lease or service your vehicle. More
I have been to the dealership several times because I have always been told that the dealership will diagnose issues better and be more forthcoming with recalls. However, that has not been the case what have always been told that the dealership will diagnose issues better and be more forthcoming with recalls. However, that has not been the case what so ever. I had a tire blow out that was replaced by this dealership, not only did they not document which tire they had replaced but they negated their initial claim of being an authorized dealer for Michelin. This claim would make it possible for them to take claims for tire warranty. After my tire blew out, it was completely emaciated, the dealership then claimed they are not able to make any inferences regarding the tire and claimed that they could not even verify the tire was a Michelin due to its state. I understand that only the bare minimum of the side wall was left, but I have always had work done at a dealership and have never taken it any where else-yet their records were incomplete. The representative then stated I needed to replace two more of the tires, despite the fact I had it in the dealership not even three weeks before that and the tires were "checked". I went ahead and replaced three tires, but had to argue to get the coupon that the dealership emailed me used for the tires-the coupon was off of labor. The representative blamed my poor driving for the blow out, but claimed the other tires were in "decent shape". When I inquired how my poor driving would impact only ONE tire, he stated that everyone's driving was different. I inquired what the benefit of going to a dealership was over someone else, the representative stated that dealerships would do a more thorough check of the vehicle and be more helpful when it came to issues with the car. After I pointed out the tires were fit to drive three weeks ago and gave him the write up for the car he walked away without a second word. I was also told they would wash the car for me since it was not done the time before when I had it in for service, they hosed it off as I could run my finger over it and come up with dirt-the car was still wet when I got it back 3 hours later. I will not come back to this dealership for anything, as I have not seen any benefit in taking my car to the dealer. More
I called in about a used cc and asked if they had it on the lot, and troy said they did but i explained to them that i just came from another dealership that told me they did and when i got there they trie the lot, and troy said they did but i explained to them that i just came from another dealership that told me they did and when i got there they tried to put me on another car, but troy reassured me that the vehicle was there and that he was the used car manager and would not sell it until i got there and a chance to look at it. When i arrived to the dealer i was promptly greeted and to my surprise the car was waiting for me at the front of the store. My credit was a little shaky but i was not treated any different because of it like i have felt at other dealers. jhonson made the financing part a breeze. thanks again david maus volkswagen south!! i love my new car!!
