Selling unneeded services I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. The service writer told me that I needed new engine and cabin air filters and that my battery terminal I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. The service writer told me that I needed new engine and cabin air filters and that my battery terminals were corroded. I declined the service. Then when I checked he tried to charge me for the service. I was under a service plan. It included air filter changes for free. They changed the filters but said they wouldn’t clean the battery. They didn’t wash the car and left the plastic cover on the seat and paper mat in the car. I checked the battery terminals when I went home. They were in pristine condition although they left the cover off of the positive terminals. I questioned whether the filters were changed. I checked. They were. Took 1.5 hrs for an oil change and tire rotation. Don’t lie to me and tell me I need things that I don’t. There is a difference between upselling needed service and lying. More
