The service there varies from chaotic to crickets meaning it’s really busy or not busy depending on the day. I wasn’t too impressed with our recent help there. Got a complicated explanation about why I was charged $160 labor to swap out the 12v battery in a 2005 Prius. Not the hybrid drive mind you, the one that starts the car. Said he had a complex process where he has to keep the car turned on and hooked up to his computer the whole time or else it would fry the board. Whatever. I called Pedersen Toyota here in Fort Collins and they said, no, they don't do anything like that, and the 12v battery change for a Prius is $20 to $40 for labor. Nothing like paying 400% markup at the dealership. My daughter is a student at BYU so we know what's going on here. I left a message at 8:30 in the morning and had to call back at 4pm because I hadn't had a callback. More

Charge you to diagnose and argue there is no issue. Everywhere else I have gone I have never been charged for a diagnosis and quote.
