I bought a certified pre-owned TSX in December of last year. Buying the car was fairly easy, aside from a few arrogant people once we started talking numbers. All they kept saying was how great of a car year. Buying the car was fairly easy, aside from a few arrogant people once we started talking numbers. All they kept saying was how great of a car I was buying. Once the problems started, which was not very long after, that quickly changed to “oh that year is known for that problem”. The very same day I drove the car off the lot, the moldings from the windshield to the sunroof, started peeling off. I immediately drove it back and showed them. They made a service appointment the next day and assured me it was a minor issue that would be replaced under a recall that just came out. Next, the steering in the car kept getting tighter and tighter. I brought it back for service to take a look at it and was told “the 2009’s have poor steering, they upgraded it in the newer models.” Every week or so the notification for my left rear tire kept going off with a low level warning. After filling it back up with air and it kept continuing, I took it to a local tire place to have it inspected. Turns out, the valve stem was already broken, and replaced very badly. The XM radio looses signal every 5 minutes regardless of where I travel. Again, took it back to Wayne service where I was told specifically that my radio “sounds like every other TSX, they all loose signal like that, they aren’t good.” This week, my steering once again became extremely stiff, almost like I had no power steering at all. Since I have had enough awful experiences with Acura of Wayne, I took it to another dealership. They immediately made me a service appointment with a loaner car. I gave them the VIN of my TSX and they informed me I had two open recalls on my car- both for molding issues. The same ones that Wayne claimed they fixed the day I bought my car! I was infuriated; first you sell me a lemon of a car and then lie about the repairs that they did. If I were Acura corporate, I would shut this place down to prevent people from having the same experiences as I and swear off ever buying another Acura again. More
Recently, I was in the market for a lease on an Acura MDX. I called a few dealerships and got some good prices. When I called Acura of Wayne, their monthly quote was higher by $25. The salesman, Jim, who was nice, assured me that if I came in I would find out their bottom line. I visited the dealership. Jim and I spoke for awhile, when he said he would bring over his sales manager, Carl Taylor. Carl sat down and immediately began to obfuscate. He launches into a pitch telling me that all their quotes include a loyalty discount and a military discount! All this despite the fact that I specifically told Jim I do not qualify for loyalty. Jim and another assistant are silent. I may as well never have spoken to them. Right there, the quote rises by another $30. I was stunned. Carl senses this and tries to strong-arm me. "What is the problem?" "What are we doing here?" I tell him calmly that I came in with a competing quote to see if he could beat it. He does his best to look surprised and consult his salesman. "We're done here. Go shop around. You'll learn." Complete runaround. And terribly rude treatment on top of it. More
Dishonest conduct.You can not believe anyone in this dealership.They told me that I can pick up the car on the same day, the truth is I picked up the car 2 days later. They told me I can get 1.99% interest rate, the truth is I got 3.99%.They told you I swear to god this will happen, but the truth is it will never happen. I don't know why they treat customers in such a dishonest way, want more business? More

I bought a used Mazda at Open Road Acura of Wayne several months ago. The entire process could not have gone smoother. I dealt directly with Mike Clark in sales, with Nick Mancuso, the Used Car Manager, co months ago. The entire process could not have gone smoother. I dealt directly with Mike Clark in sales, with Nick Mancuso, the Used Car Manager, coming in at the end to work the final numbers. Everything was very low pressure, and they didn’t try to keep us from walking away when my toddler decided she’d had enough car shopping for the day. This was greatly appreciated. I came back the second day, got a great price on the car I was trading in and on the car I was buying, and drove home my new (used) care that night. In addition to being a fair and helpful salesman, Mike seemed like an all-around nice guy. Buying a car means spending a lot of time sitting around while paper work gets done, and he was a pleasure to hang out with. The finance department was great as well. I had secured financing through my bank in advance, and got a great rate, but the dealer still crushed it. They could have just beat my bank by a fraction of a point and kept the rest for themselves, but they beat my bank by more than a full point. Incredible I really feel like they helped me buy a car, rather than tried to sell me a car. It’s a small but important distinction. More
My mother was looking for a Used Nissan Rogue, and after going to (with cash in hand) and walking OUT of 2 Major Nissan Dealerships in Bergen County, we were ready to give up. After 7 hours of HORRENDOUS service, we decided to take a break and grab a bite to eat. It was around 7 or 8 pm when we saw on Cars.com exactly what my mother was looking for and decided to give it one last effort. We showed up at Open Road Acura within an hour of closing and this DREAM of a salesman (Shawn) made us feel like we had all the time in the world! Still a little bit skeptical since we had left the last Nissan dealership only $400 apart, we decided to make an offer and see where is got us. To our surprise, there was almost no Haggling back and forth, and my mother got her Nissan Rogue for the price we WANTED to pay!! Damian, the finance manager made sure no time was wasted and got the paperwork done efficiently and quickly! In a matter of minutes, we some how felt like we were all one big happy family. We couldn't have been more impressed with the professionalism and energy they brought to our purchase experience. I would definitely recommend this dealership (And Shawn) to anyone that is looking for a new or used vehicle. Thank you all so much for making this car search seem all worth while! More

Worked with the internet/used car sales department. They eased my mind of the "high pressure" sales tactics from years ago. Very easy and accomodating. Shawn was very patient and pleasant to deal with and went over all the bells and whistles on my gorgeous new (used) Acura TSX. They had EXACTLY the car I was searching for!! He, nor the rest of the sales department, pressured me into anything or made me feel like I wasn't getting the complete package. (that was left up to the finance department - wasn't too thrilled with that portion of my experience, but the paperwork is signed and the car is mine!) Damien in the finance department was VERY high pressure regarding the extended warranty (so much so, that my husband, who was home waiting for me to join him for dinner, had to eat left-overs that night, and I was left sitting around most of the night, on my 3 hour stint to get the paperwork signed off by finance (THAT was the nightmare!). Plus, I noticed that there were 2 charges on my contract that should NOT have been in there, but at that point (which I guess is his tactic), I was exhausted (since I came right after working a 10 hour day), and I was starving - I just wanted to get out of there...so it cost me an additional $300 that SHOULD NOT have been on the contract. Either way, though - I would recommend Open Road Acura of Wayne going forward (and especially Shawn!) Thank you, everybody!! More
