My son and I searched and searched for his first vehicle. I wanted something that was safe and would last him through college. When he drove the Infinity I30 that Steve showed us, he was sold and so was I! I wanted something that was safe and would last him through college. When he drove the Infinity I30 that Steve showed us, he was sold and so was I! Steve and the gang were always responsive to our questions and worked with us to get "second car" financing that a single mom could afford. We bought the car in the fall and the next spring the ac wasn't working right. Steve handled the repair at a minimal cost to me. I have recommended Olmos Park Auto to a lot of people! If you're looking for a used car and don't want the usual used car sales routine. Call Steve! More
Having some bad credit and no current active credit within the past 2 years and not alot of money to put down on a vehicle or a lot of value for my trade a larger dealerships finance manager wouldnt ev within the past 2 years and not alot of money to put down on a vehicle or a lot of value for my trade a larger dealerships finance manager wouldnt even try to work with me or submit any auto loan application he just asked for $3000 down because of my credit. i found the exactly same vehicle 2007 Chevy HHR LT here for a hundred dollars cheaper. After driving the vehicle and explaining to sam my situation and how much cash I could put down plus my trade he said he could get me approved. So after playing phone tag the next day and talking to a loan representative sam told me i was approved. After 18 years of driving my 93 Ford Ranger I was finally going to get a newer vehicle. and that the payments would be around $300 a month but they needed $1000 down that i did not have. I eagerly went over after work and was shown paperwork for the vehicle price of $12400 and payments of $342 that i was not comfortable paying at 25% intrest which would have made for a total of $16,416. My wife asked what happened to the $10,850 price that was online Sam said that was the cash price and that he wasn't making any money on the car,It does not say this on the website. She asked if he could do any better on the intrest rate and he said no because It was sub-prime. she asked if he could submit to atleast 2 other regular lenders to try to get me as a first time buyer or at a lower rate. he said that he could do that the next day. So after playing phone tag and leaving messages for him to call me back that next day and the day after I received no return call. not even to say that he was unable to get a better deal for me. Yeah i got approved which is better than being told no or not even having someone submit a loan app for me but no returned or follow up calls as courtesy? That is not how you do buisness. I wasn't asking for much just to get a return call. I guess they dont want to sell it that bad or because of my credit that i should just jump at an offer that i was lucky enough to get approved for. I had read 2 bad reviews about this place the day before i went in there but gave them a chance anyway. I guess i should have listened to the other people. It did not cost me money but it did cost my time and the high hopes that i was about to get a newer vehicle for me that my wife and my son could all fit into. I cant do that in a regular cab Ranger we always have to take her truck. I wasnt even worth a phone call?I'm just really let down and dont like to be asked for more money when they knew what I had to work with. Very unhappy and still not driving what i wanted. This is why i have givin the rating I did. More
Ok, I wanted to trade my current smaller SUV for a larger SUV. I went to Olmos and they had good prices. They let me test drive 3 different vehicles and the staff was initally friendly. I let them run my SUV. I went to Olmos and they had good prices. They let me test drive 3 different vehicles and the staff was initally friendly. I let them run my credit and it took them 3 days to get back to me with an answer. They managed to get me into a vehicle that fit my needs with reasonable terms - I found out later that the vehicle they put me in was going to auction, so they wanted it off the lot ASAP (this will come into play later on). So, my husband and I went, turned in the necessary paperwork that was requested by Sam, and signed the loan papers and left with the new, used vehicle. One full week later I get a frantic, rude call from Sam stating the bank needs to conduct an interview with me and my husband because some of the paperwork that was submitted was not right. Long story short, Olmos Park Auto Group was in such a rush to get the vehicle off their lot that they didn't present ALL the proper paperwork to the bank upon submitting our loan contract. So, I was hassled by Sam for an entire week while my husband was out of town for all of the proper paperwork, which should have been collected from the beginning. During the 3-4 phone calls I received from Sam everyday for a week, he was rude, ignorant, impatient, condescending, and very unprofessional. After obtaining all the proper paperwork for Sam, he turned around and told me the bank ended up cancelling the contract all together. So, after being told the initial bank cancelled the loan, Sam told me he was working with another bank and would have some info for me later on that day. So, I get a call that same afternoon with Sam, once again, being rude and telling me I HAD to come to the dealership right away to sign paperwork for the new contract. I asked him what the new terms of our loan would be and he refused to disclose the info to me via phone in a very rude manner. I ended up talking with Steve over the phone who was suddenly able to disclose all the info on the terms of the new contract. It ended up not being what I wanted, so I told them to cancel everything and I would come pick up my old vehicle from them and I would return theirs to them. So, when I arrived to swap vehicles with them and get my old vehicle back, they made me wait for 45mins just to sign a single sheet of paper. On top of that, they somehow lost the floor mats in my vehicle, and when I approached Sam about it he replied, "WELL, we had it detailed and if they took them out for that, then we don't have them", in the most ignorant tone you can imagine. To which I replied, "Well, when I gave you the vehicle, it had floor mats, and I'd appreciate it if you'd return them". No one offered to replace them if they weren't able to find them. My question is, if I'm expected to return their vehicle in the same condition it left the lot, shouldn't my vehicle be returned to me in the same condition I left it with them???? So, on top of all that, I returned their vehicle with a full tank of gas (I left the lot with it only having 1/2 tank of gas), do you think my old vehicle had a full tank of gas? NO, it had 1/4 tank in it. When I told them about it, they went ahead and filled it with another 1/8 tank of gas....so gracious of them, right? AND they cashed my down payment without having a bank approved loan in place. That could be standard, I'm not 100% sure on that. Anyways, seriously people, go here at YOUR OWN RISK. They are not ethical, professional or concerned about their customers, just moving vehicles. More
