This is going to be a long review. I will keep the main details in the beginning; I had a car that was worth $1500 (I felt it was worth what Ben motors offered me) but I owed $6000 on the loan. Therefore, I was turned down by everyone; from Easy Auto, JD Bryder, to Toyota of Knoxville, Terry Cunningham ford, ted russell nissan. Even Clayton Motors who is buy here pay here. It was sad. I gave up hope until I finally went to Ben Motors. When I sat down with Tarl, I told him I needed him more then he needed me. (Great way to make a deal) He said we will get it done. That night, he ran my credit (I had over 100 inquiries on my credit report due to the loan requests) Even though he knew my issues (most dealers I said that and they said come back when you are ready) and still Tarl took me to a 2009 Nissan Altima and we even took it for a test drive. (The first test drive out of all places) Car price $16,000 After we came back, I was like awesome car. But wasn't impressed cause I figured I would be walking out with my beat up car. He then said done deal. I had this feeling before, it always ends up bad. Well, he said here are the keys and my eyes lit up. I sat down with finance and they went over the deal. They offered me $3,000 for my trade in. This deal was unreal. Well, come to find out my finance charge was 17%. Two weeks later they said come back in, we need to talk about your deal. I came in and they were able to get me approved for another company at 14.5%. (how does a bad company actually pass that onto the customer, let alone spend their time to do that. The car runs great, no problems. I had an issue with corroded battery, but took it to Ben Motors repair shop where they cleaned it, and good as new. (Even the mechanic dropped what he was doing and did it for me right away.) Overall, the support was top notch, and the service is good so far. I hope this review helps, and believe me when I say I was turned down by everyone besides Ole Ben Motors. Just make sure you tell Tarl if you can get "him" approved, you can get anyone approved. More

Within the past 3 years, I have bought 3 vehicles from Tarl at Ole Ben Franklin Motors. The vehicles were great and they even put brand new tires on my Suburban I purchased!! Prices definitely cannot be Tarl at Ole Ben Franklin Motors. The vehicles were great and they even put brand new tires on my Suburban I purchased!! Prices definitely cannot be beat!!!! I am never upside down when I go in to trade for another vehicle which means a lot. The customer service is always exceptional. I went to ole ben franklin in a bind and needed a vehicle and Tarl helped me get in a vehicle that would suit my needs at the time which was getting from point A to B and back. After a year of good payment h and Tarl helped me get in a vehicle that would suit my needs at the time which was getting from point A to B and back. After a year of good payment history I was able to upgrade to a much nicer and newer vehicle. When I'm in need of another vehicle I will definitely check here first! More

I found a car I wanted from Ben Franklin. I decided to wait and shop around a little. Found another car, called to make an offer and the sales man said "there's no we could do that price" then hung up. I wait and shop around a little. I wasn't going to deal with but my sales man called me back and apologized for whoever hung up. The clutch was slipping in the car. One mechanic said there's no way it was slipping but you couldn't gas the car the slightest bit without the clutch just slipping. Finally another guy drove it came back and said it was slipping. In the process of driving the car he hit something. Now they were paying to fix the busted bumper and the clutch. I still had to help pay for the bumper. After being at the dealer for hours I was ready to leave. When it came down to signing the papers I find out the car has a wreck on the title. I still purchased the car do to being in a bad spot and didn't have the time to start a search again. Now I find out my 2 front tires are so warn on the inside where I couldn't the ware that the metal wires were showing. I went back to see if mike would stand by his product. Come to find out, no they don't stand by their vehicles. After the sale is made they will basically tell you to xxxx off. I'll never recommend Ole Ben Franklens to anyone. More
This company contracted my company to move a vehicle from an IAA Auction. Which is the insurance auto auction (where totaled cars go). We went 150 Miles out of our way, wasted our time and diesel fuel to get an IAA Auction. Which is the insurance auto auction (where totaled cars go). We went 150 Miles out of our way, wasted our time and diesel fuel to get there and come to find out they had hired someone else and double booked the job. So when we show up to pick up the car we learn that someone was there 2 hours earlier to pick it up. When we called to find out what was going on they said "should have been there first" and hung up on us. So the bottom line is if they screwed us they will definitely screw you. More
Found a vehicle on ebay Listed by them. The only picture not listed on ebay was the back of the vehicle. I ask specifically about the back. Shanon said then that there was no problems. After negotiating a price over the phone I drove from Cleveland tn to Knoxville just to find the vehicle not as described. The back bumper was damaged and some of the clear coat was missing. Sliding door handle was broken, not clear in the pictures, I was also told when I test drove the vehicle to just go around the block "4 turns approx .5. Not giving anytime to throughly test a vehicle. As I was weighing out the pros and cons of purchasing this vehicle with my wife Shanon complained about me nit picking the vehicle. When I called him out for not being clear to me about the back bumper, he called off the deal. Bad customer service. Probably the best part of my visit was talking to the guys working in the detail shop. They seemed like 2 awesome people and appeared to do good work! More
