Dishonest people and bad s I bought a brand new Honda Civic here and I can't even begin to explain the issues I've had with this dealership. From car problems (sold me car with broken ac they tried to make me pay $800 for) and rude service to outright lies and very dishonest sales tactics. I don't have anything to do with Norm Reeves either, but I went there 2 years ago and helped someone get a car and the experience there while not perfect (when is going to a dealership ever) it was a much better and more professional experience. At least they had a sliver of honesty. Check your paperwork before you sign anything here they will lie to your face and sneak it in while your in a flurry of paperwork. They even lied and had me come in because they said I forgot to sign something, turns out I didn't forget they were just giving me a lower warranty than I had signed for the previous day and I have proof because I have both copies! Now that I've been trying to reach them after going in in person they have completely stonewalled me and will not respond to any of my emails. Really bad people here I would not recommend it. Watch out for the rockledge alarms they put in all cars mine had issues and it seems to be a common problem online so I'd make sure they don't install that if you do buy here and don't get their car docs program they claim they make nothing off of it, sounds like a sales pitch to me but that's up to you to decide. More

Unfortunately upon speaking to their general manager Hesham, the car was not available and the closest sister dealerahip that have it on stock was 400 miles away. Instead they are trying to convince me to get 2WD. The second red flag Mary told me that they are going to match the offer by Norm Reeves Honda and keep insisting for me to come to their place. Unfortunately they cannot. The 3rd red flag. They were trying to sell me different trim level of the car that they have it on stock in which I specifically told her that we are locked in getting the Honda CRV touring AWD. At least be considerate to your client, I have specifically told her that we are coming from SAN DIEGO and it will be more than an hour drive away. If you want to save yourself a time. Do not go to this place. More

I didn't expect to be able to trade it for much and had little hope of getting the new car I really wanted. That's when Robert de Leon and Sam Said stepped in and changed my life. Hands down the best sales reps I've ever met. They were understanding, patient, extremely accommodating, highly informative, well knowledged and overall very personable and friendly guys to get to know. Working with his manager, not only did Robert get me $1000 more than my original trade-in appraisal, they dropped the price substantially on my dream car, gave me a $500 military bonus, showed me how to refund $2500 of my previous warranty and gave me competitive pricing on all the options. I sighed with relief, having nearly closed the gap on my negative equity. Unbelievable great service. To top it off the Finance Manager, Ali Fallah, made the signing and finance process fast, easy and completely honest with full disclosure. I'm used to feeling like I've been blindsided at dealerships; these guys went the extra mile to keep me and my wife informed. I can't appreciate that enough. We walked in with doubts and left with a brand new car, fully loaded, big smiles and more optimism than I've ever received from a dealership. Every single one of them invited us to field any questions to them and vowed to serve as our personal contacts if we ever needed help, day or night. Me and my wife couldn't be happier. Thank you all so much, I need friends like these guys in my life. Seriously, you're awesome. More
Unethical Business Practice This review reflects one individual that is employed at Ocean Honda and not the entire dealership. I was in the market for a 2016 Honda CRV Touring c This review reflects one individual that is employed at Ocean Honda and not the entire dealership. I was in the market for a 2016 Honda CRV Touring car. I received an offer from Norm Reeves Honda in Irvine which I accepted. Unfortunately, Norm Reeves did not have the exterior and interior color I desired. I searched the car inventory at Ocean Honda and found two vehicles that matched the car I wanted to purchase. I called their dealership and spoke with Ivette. Ivette told me she would have to talk with her manager, Hesham El Hamayel. I then spoke with Hesham who told me that they would match the offer from Norm Reeves but would have to see my trade-in before he could complete the deal. I explained to Hesham that I received an acceptable offer from Carmax for my current car and didn't think he could match the offer. Hesham told me that he could only do the deal if he could make money on my trade-in and needed to evaluate the value of my car. I told him I would drive to his dealership if he assured me that he would match the Norm Reeves offer on the car I wanted to purchase. He said yes. I drove to the dealership and met with Ivette and Hesham. They evaluated my car and told me they would give me $18,000 for my trade-in. I provided them a copy of the offer I received from Carmax ($19,000) and told them that they would have to match that offer. Hesham told me that he was losing money on the car I wanted to buy and needed to make money on my trade-in. He then went over the numbers of the car I wanted to purchase and stated that the price was $30,700 plus destination fees, tax and license. To make a long story short, this offer DID NOT match the offer I received from Norm Reeves. I told Hesham that he had agreed on the phone to match Norm Reeves price. He then told me that his car had extras that the Norm Reeves car did not have. I knew right then that I was dealing with someone who was ethically challenged. I told Hesham that I was leaving and he offered me $18,300 for my trade-in. I told him there was no point in negotiating if he was not going to honor his word to match Norm Reeves price on the new car. Hesham asked me where I took my current car for service. I told him that I have taken my last three Hondas to Ocean Honda for service and was very happy with the service department. He told me that if I didn't purchase my new car from Ocean Honda that I would not receive the same treatment from the service department that I had experienced in the past. I was astonished that the general manager of the dealership, Hesham would threaten me with poor service. This story is 100% true and accurate. He told me I would have to wait in "long lines' if I purchased a car at another dealership and brought it to Ocean Honda for service. As I got up to leave he told me he would give me $18,800 for my present car. I told him no and asked him why I would take a $200 loss when I had received a written offer from Carmax for $19,000. He then explained to me the hassle of depositing a check in my bank account and the possibility of the check being placed on hold. I told him that didn't concern and left the dealership. I was told by Ivette that Hesham was recently hired as general manager at Ocean Honda. I implore whoever makes business decisions at Ocean Honda to cut your loses and hire someone who has some integrity. I read a previous review on Yelp with someone else who had issues with Hesham. This is not an isolated incident and looks like a pattern of unethical behavior. In addition, I'm now going to take my new car (which I purchased at another dealership) to Norm Reeves for service. This does not reflect the service department at Ocean Honda which has always been outstanding. This is because of a threat from the general manager of your dealership. More
How a GM does not honor his word! After reviewing their competitor's price ( full detailed pricing was emailed to Ocean Honda previously),they accepted to match that offer. A SMS from the salesman Julio , came informing me that Mr Hisham, General Manager had agreed to that deal. I showed up, test drove the car and once paperworks started, Mr Hesham El Hamayel got involved as Jorge Figueroa, salesman brought him in for further support. I was very surprised , stating that I had already gone through negotiations via email and sms and do not understand why they seem ignorant about the deal!.. The usual car dealership tricks then started.. " where is our acceptance of that deal": very surprised I said who is the manager? I showed him his employee's SMS, Mr Julio Jaramillo, stating that the manager was matching the offer!!?.. I even wanted them to beat that first offer as after all they did not have my chosen color and I was giving them the opportunity of earning my business since they were 10 miles closer and had serviced satisfactorily my old cars before... but I was not going to accept a different deal and higher price! I was given a dealer invoice number showing how my price was not acceptable.. "How it was at loss for them.." Then I was told a "$900.00 destination charge was not included in the competitor's price.".. I showed him the email stating the opposite!... Was told that" low price was including military or college graduate discount bonuses"... Then I showed him the email of the competitor stating that those were additional bonuses on the top of the price and I knew that I did not qualify for any of them.... I even showed them a 3rd dealer's email accepting that same initial price (which was including the destination charges).. I finally told them how disappointed I was as he had wasted my afternoon by making me go there for nothing. This could have been avoided as they had all my figures and offers. I Told them 2016 is almost over and soon 2017 are coming out and then he will regret pushing a potential customer, previous owner of 3 new Honda cars ( accord, odyssey and a civic). I left the dealership refusing their inflated last minute price with total bogus explanations! I would NOT recommend this dealership for any purchase UNLESS you have a detailed quote in writing.signed by the manager, stating all charges and hidden fees. I am very disappointed and will report this unacceptable manner of treating customer after a deal has been reached. I will contact Honda HQ. This behavior made me also question the purchase of a CRV. Perhaps I will get a Toyota instead. More

They sold me a Lemon. I leased a new 2015 Honda CR-V. It was delivered to me with missing screws on the front bumper tire well, glue from the factory (the car was not detailed), rear right panels misaligned, right door molding not matched up properly (off by 3/4 of an inch), and a lemon engine. When idling the car sounds like an old fan is hitting a deck a cards and going from 55 to 45 it is even louder. The dealership has not taken responsibility. There is also a whine to the engine. I've taken it in to another dealership (tomorrow will be 3 times) and the the engine problems have not been fixed. I've had it for 1 month and the rattling shaking noise has gotten worse. I had previously leased 4 Honda's since 2000 without a single issue. I'm stuck in a lease now for 3 years for a vehicle that is a lemon and Honda Customer Service and the dealership are not being helpful. Buyer or Lesser beware of this dealership! They wash their hands once the car is out the door. More

My purchase was not a straight and easy one do to the negative in my trade (don't ever by a jeep patriot.) But Patrick Peters the general manager made it so easy by being honest and straight forward with ALL of my options. He was so patient considering I felt like I had made such a poor choice with my jeep that I did not want to make the same mistake again. But lets face it there is no comparison. Honda had the best rates....the best programs. They just simply hold there value! I got a great rate and was able to get out of my jeep after 19 months a HAPPIER girl. Thank you Patrick and the entire staff for making it the best buying experience. Go see Bill Peters or Patrick Peters the general manager ( he is not like the other general managers sitting on there butts.) He makes deals happen . Haideh Mehr More

I was able to deal directly with the owner, Jeff Cappo. Good guy. Gave me a solid deal. I had previously taken my 2012 Civic in for service, and was very impressed with the entire operation, especially Greg in the service department. They do it right here. I'd recommend Ocean Honda. It's far superior to Pacific Honda in Kearney Mesa/San Diego, which is just a giant impersonal (and often inefficient) assembly line. This place has a nice personal touch. And seems to be getting even better under Cappo's ownership. More

Prior to visiting the dealership, I called to inquire about the inventory of the vehicle we wanted to purchase. I was connected to Dennis Preston in Sales and Leasing at Weseloh. He was extremely professional and at the same time made me feel as though his dealership "family" cared. My family and I went to see Dennis and the experience in person was even better than I could imagine. I am skeptical about "sales" people to start with and Dennis and the others at the dealershp were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home. They listened to our needs and wants and worked with us to meet those. All-in-all, we are so pleased with the purchase of our Honda 2013 Accord and that has alot to do with our personal interaction with Dennis and the team. Thank you. More
