I had an excellent car purchase experience at Bernardi Honda of Brockton, MA. I'd been searching for a specific car for nearly four weeks, unable to find what I wanted in CA, but I finally located one at Honda of Brockton, MA. I contacted Lawrie Durham to talk about the car and shipping it from MA to CA. The shipping cost was going to be too much so Lawrie helped me search for cars in CA. That didn't pan out so I decided to drive the car myself from MA back to CA. We quickly agreed to an out-the-door price and I left a deposit. After leaving my deposit, Paul Wisdom contacted me to ensure everything would go smoothly. I was really worried - I'd be flying to Boston to pick up a car I'd not seen. What if it didn't actually exist? What if I showed up and there was some dealer 'snafu' on the price? Not to worry, Paul took care of everything. He answered all my questions. He sent me all the paperwork so I could review it beforehand. After I arrived in Boston, he picked me up at the train station and drove me to Bernardi. There, he showed me the car; we completed the paperwork; he then setup the car with me (hands-free-link, etc). Essentially everything was perfect; the smoothest car purchase, by far, that I've ever had. If you are looking for a car, be sure to check out Bernardi Honda of Brockton. They have a giant car lot with all models, colors and options. Their showroom is new and impressive. They are convenient to Boston but are willing to sell to anywhere - even 3000 miles away in CA. Did not like the man who "helped" us at the dealership. We came looking for an Element - just to test drive. The original salesperson we spoke with, Jamal, was soft spoken and nice but he must dealership. We came looking for an Element - just to test drive. I hate to put it this way, but he embodied the stereotypical slimy car salesman. He was pushy and made us uncomfortable. Very schmooze-y but not in a nice way. We had gotten to the point where we were talking about what color we wanted....when he started *really* pushing and then outright LIED TO US. We had narrowed our color choice to orange or black - and verbally made that clear to him many times. He didn't have any black or orange models on the lot...but said they could trade with other dealerships for one in the right color no problem. A short while later he began push a RED one that he had on the lot at us and lowered the price by a few thousand. Then he began saying that due to the tsunami in Japan, there was no orange or black ANYWHERE nor would there ever be since the car model was going out of production...so we "should really buy the red one" he had. At that point we knew he was lying, because before we arrived we had happened to check the online inventory of Boch Honda of Norwood and they had multiples of every color in stock. We had him go to his computer to check for it at other dealerships (to see what he would say) and he came back saying that there was indeed NONE in that color anywhere....but not only that! That there were very few Elements left at all and were all "really really really far away and expensive to transport". At this point, disgusted with him, we decided to leave...though he kept offering us "$100 more off? How about $300? $500 off!".....Once in our car, still right there in the dealership parking lot, we called Boch Honda and asked them if they had the orange (technically citrus fire metallic) Element in stock. They did. I'm happy to report that the people at Boch were very nice, and we are now the owners of an ORANGE honda element! More

We felt the trade offer was within the range of suggested values from the web and closed the deal reasonably quickly. Our salesperson was great! Her name is Gail Randall and she was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. The whole experiece was quick, but satisfying and pleasant. IWe would recommend this dealership to friends and family, and would return. Gail was delightful, patient, and knowledgeable. We would rate the experience as very positive for all these reasons. More

I have been very impressed with the quality of Honda vehicles, and spoke with numerous people I trust for advice on both Honda and other makes, and also utilized other online resources, such as Edmunds.com. My wife and I decided to visit Bernardi Honda because of their large inventory and also knowing that they had recently opened and therefore might offer competitively favorable pricing. We felt very comfortable working with the sales consultant, Barclay Conte, as he was both personable and knowledgeable. Most importantly, he listened and responded to our questions without exhibiting the typical car salesman pressure that can make the purchasing of a vehicle so stressful. We were also very comfortable with the other professionals we associated with. From management to maintenance, top to bottom, I came away believing that this is a quality run dealership. I wound up purchasing a Honda Fit, and could not be more pleased with the car, the pricing, and our overall car buying experience, and would readily recommend Barclay and Bernardi Honda team to others. I went to Bernardi Honda, specifically because of Barclay Conte. I knew he would handle my auto choice professionally and carefully. I was also impressed by his manager, and the finance representative. When I returned the following week to get my new car inspected, I was met by a representative who took the car, and handled the transaction for me. Can't ask for more. We were greeted by the internet sales department representative when we arrived. We were introduced to a salesperson, and after the usual smalltalk, we got down to the business of examining vehicles. We had previously done our homework, therefore knew specifically what vehicle we were looking for. It was enjoyable to not have the salesperson make an attempt to steer us toward a vehicle we had no interest in. The salesperson was able to immediately set-up a test drive of our desired vehicle. The pre-test drive vehicle information session was informative and helpful. We were encouraged to take as long and diverse a test drive as desired. We did so. The test drive sealed the deal for my wife. Then came the "what color" decision. On an extremely hot, humid day, the salesperson displayed remarkable patience as my wife took over almost 2 hours to make her color decision. Then it became necessary to complete every customer's least favorite part of the sales transaction. That is, the dickering over the price. AT one point the assistant sales manager saddled-up to our table and began the negotiations in earnest. Surprisingly, his initial offer to come down $800. from the MSRP was all he was willing to do. I displayed to him an internet price quote for the same vehicle from aother Honda dealer. Immediately (really with no hesitation)he stated that ther ew as no way he would be able to match that offer. Very little room for negotiation. My wife and I immediately got up to leave and in fact were literally walking out the door when we were again intercepted by the internet sales manager we had initially met. He asked us if we had made a purchase, we told him the story, and he told us to wait so he could look into the situation. Within minutes he assured us he felt he could work something out to make a sale. He did so and to our satisfaction. The story end with a visit to the finance dept. which was as pleasant an experience as possible when taking out a loan for $19,000. Thank you. More
The only problem I had we it took a long time to get plate transferred. It was easy to get an employee to help you. Senior staff assigned a junior staff to fill out paperwork. The junior staff was not very experienced which made the visit a little lengthy.
