Took my car in for an oil change asking them to also take vehicle for a test drive to see if they thought acceleration was normal vs skipping. Brought in a key fob that was already cut and needed to be programmed as a spare. Was told it wouldn't work because it was missing the chip but paid over $100 for them to tell me this. Ordered a new key fr be programmed as a spare. Was told it wouldn't work because it was missing the chip but paid over $100 for them to tell me this. Ordered a new key from parts department, they did the same thing and it still didn't turn the ignition. Took time off work twice to bring it in, then had to bring it in again for them to finally get it fixed. Now I don't trust that the first key was actually faulty. Took a lot of time and $500 just to get a working spare key. Absolutely ridiculous. Especially since the Kia boys showed such an easy way to bypass a key. The service man told me they would do free service for me next time, so I'm holding you to that. More
