Decided to give Oakbrook a shot since they are only 6 blocks from my house. Had no pre-conceived feelings about this dealer as I generally put them all in the same boat. Dealer sent out a promotional mailing soliciting used cars. Dealer treated me honestly and efficiently. I brought a 4Runner into this dealership that I had purchased used. I wanted to get a general checkup and maintenance per the vehicle mileage. The service was great. HOWEVER BEWARE I ENDED UP PAYING 20 CENTS A MSG FOR TEXT MSG ADVERTISING THAT THE DEALERSHIP STARTED SENDING TO MY CELL PHONE. THAT WAS OBNOXIOUS!!! More
My reason for visiting the dealership was to test drive a Toyota Venza. I drove two of them with different engine sizes. He also did his job in offering the optional coverages and services but I am not one to ever buy extra sevices. He did gently remind me a few times about the options but was not pushy. I recently purchased a Highlander Sport at Oakbrook Toyota. The entire staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and accomodating, making it a very pleasant experience. My sales person, John Caprini, was wonderful to work with during the whole process. He helped me look at vehicles that suited my needs. Marcin in finance was awesome, clearly explaining all of the paperwork and my options. Cesar, one of the sales managers, made sure that all of the little details were addressed. There service was excellent in every field, from Mike Schultz the gentlement I spoke to on the phone regarding the vehicle I saw online.I then went and saw him to see the vehicle. He answered all my questions and I exlpained I had a bad experience at another dealership. I was hesitate in purchasing the vehicle. He was concern on how I felt he wanted me to be comfortable and to have confidence in them. He then introduced me to Cesar Meraz, Sales Manager that worked with me regarding my experience and concern I had with another dealership by the name of Fidelity Motor Group in Palatine. I did not want to experience the same horrible experience I had at (F.M.G). Heads up to anyone who may be thinking to purchase a vehicle at (F.M.G.) don't do it. I was going to purchase a vehicle there, salesman Stephen Brady was helping me. I put down a $1,000 to hold a truck that I was going to purchase. The next day the truck was sold. They were rude and treated my sale like trash they were not professional at all. They need to take classes from Oakbrook Toyota. I can go on and on about them. But I would rather go on and on about how GREAT Oakbrook Toyota is. After talking with Cesar Meraz I felt good he treated me like we knew each other for many years and he worked with me. I HAD PURCHASED A RAV4 FROM OAKBROOK TOYOTA IN AUGUST 2010 (MY 4TH VEHICLE) AT THIS DEALERSHIP AND ABOUT SIX WEEKS LATER TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICE.I WAS GREETED BY MIKE WITH A HAND SHAKE AND A SMILE WHICH I 2010 (MY 4TH VEHICLE) AT THIS DEALERSHIP AND ABOUT SIX WEEKS LATER TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICE.I WAS GREETED BY MIKE WITH A HAND SHAKE AND A SMILE WHICH IS ALLWAYS PLEASANT AND EXPECTED.THEY TOOK GREAT CARE OF MY NEEDS AND A FEW THINGS I DIDN'T EXPECT LIKE FINDING OUT I HAD A DEFECTIVE BATTERY AND REPLACING IT AT NO CHARGE ALSO UPON LOOKING INTO THE COST OF A SECOND REMOTE KEY FOR MY CAR I FOUND IT TO BE RATHER COSTLY. WHEN I HAD SAID TO THE PARTS CLERK THAT I HAD NOT RECEIVED TWO REMOTE KEYS WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR BUT GAVE TWO WITH MY TRADE IN ANNA THE CASHER OVERHEARD ME AND SUGGESTED I SPEAK WITH ALEX SYED THE GM SO I WENT UP AND EXPLANED MY SITUATION TO HIM AND HE TOOK CARE OF ME AT NO CHARGE AGAIN. WOW I WAS PRETTY HAPPY TO SAY THE LEAST I THOUGHT I WOULD BE LEAVING WITH A FROWN THAT NIGHT BUT I JUST SMILED FOR DAY'S THANKS TO MIKE,ANNA AND ALEX. KEEP UP THE HONEST AND FAIR TREATMENT TO YOUR CUSTOMERS AND WE'LL KEEP COMING BACK.
