We (family and I) arrived at Oakbrook Toyota looking for a 2011 Toyota Rav-4. There were plenty in stock. We were greeted by John Cheung a very friendly, knowledgeable, laid back sales associate. He brought us to the show room floor and described some of the features and showed us the various adjustments of seats, etc. of a RAV-4 Limited. He then escorted us to the lot where the RAV-4 we were interested in were kept and shortly thereafter arranged for us to take a test drive. Here comes the negotiations. John Cheung was very patient while we (my family and I) discussed numbers and much to our surprise, Mr. Cheung also offered the use of his laptop to look up invoice prices online to help us in the negotiations. After the obligatory haggling of price, Cesar Meraz, the sales manager introduced himself to us and he like Mr. Cheung understood the importance of not rushing into a vehicle purchase without being totally comfortable. He asked us what number would be comfortable to us so that we would drive home in a RAV-4 tonight and after a brief moment of throwing some numbers around, we were able to reach a number that my family and I felt was a great deal. Now with the usual paperwork, Mr. Cheung answered questions that we had on the paperwork. Fast forward the paperwork and payment and it's well past closing time and most of the employees have already left for home and there's Mr. Cheung making sure that everything is good while we wait for the RAV-4 to be prepped/washed. As soon as the vehicle was ready, he brought us out to the RAV-4 and made sure there were no scratches on a new vehicle (being a black vehicle, every potential scratch was inspected by us and Mr. Cheung). He personally polished and wiped off the water marks and smudges with a squirt bottle of unknown solution and a microfiber towel. Afterwards, he explained some of the features of the vehicle before we set off for home. I don't know if he left for home right after we drove off the lot in our brand new 2011 Black 4 cylinder, 4WD RAV-4, but considering he stayed for 2 hours after closing to make sure we were completely happy with our purchase, I wouldn't be surprised if he stuck around to see if he could help anyone else. More

Neal and Alex made us a great deal on an upgrade with the *exact* options we wanted. Another Venza. Couldn't refuse. No pushing, everything was thouroughly explained to us, very willing to communicate over email, everything was ready when we came to pick up the car. They even had these stickers for the iPass (IL electronic toll thingie) -- must have been the first time a dealership had these for us, really not a big deal since one can pick them up at any toll booth for free, but just the fact that they had them shows the level of detail they go to. You know it didnt go well when I need to contact Toyota Central to clarify and get the agreed upon service for the vehicle (oil change and wheel rotation) based upon prior New Car sales. I dealt with Tom Hong, he is a pleasure to work with. Like most people, I walked into the place with a sceptic eye, and left feeling like I got a great deal. My experience after coming back to see Tom was professional and patient. This was my first purchase from a dealership and it went very well. Mitch was very informative and answered all the questions i could think of. they gave me a GREAT trade in value for my car which brought very well. I still got a very competitive rate (again, in my budget). Overall the experience was enjoyable, though it took about 2.5 to 3 hours to complete the transaction, maybe this is average but as i had my 4 year old with me, it was a trying time to say the least. Lastly, Mitch was very understanding when my son spilled a whole bag of popcorn on his office floor. I appreciated that. More

Mitch was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle & Toyotas in general without being pushy and "your average car salesman". Oakbrook Toyota staff were all very pleasant and helpful. We test drove the car and did the paperwork in 2 1/2 hours which is a dealership record in my experience!! My husband & I plan to go back to Oakbrook Toyota (even though we live in Tinley Park) for our next car- highly recommended!! Thanks mitch! More

Tried a four dealerships (one in downtown Chicago) and was left underwhelmed. Then found Oakbrook Toyota and left feeling good (which is what it is all about, right?). If you don't find Cesar and Frank the most charming, affable guys you could wish to meet in a car showroom, well... A fair deal was struck in less than 20 minutes and Joe saw to it that every detail was gone through before we drove out. The only thing these guys are ernest about is pleasant customer service. Would definitely take my business to them in the future. More
