Well, I had to change my outlook after my recent purchase at Oakbrook. Sales person Doug was straightforward and honest in his quote and other information about the car, price, specs, features. I purchased my car in about 2 hours without any hassle. Longest time in this 2 hour was sitting down with purchasing department to go through the paperwork for County tax/registrations and such. The only disappointing thing I would say was way low trade-in price for my old car but I sold that in 3 days all by myself so that wasn't much problem after all. Sales manager Cesar Meraz and sales associate Pamela Yates took it upon themselves to make our car buying experience as enjoyable as possible and worked to make sure we got the car we'd been looking for. We'd gotten many quotes from other dealerships and Truecar.com and it was no hassle for Cesar and Pam to work with us and give us a deal as good as (and even better) than what we'd previously found. Many managers at other dealerships will not even bother to come and talk to a customer and try and make a deal. It was a refreshing feeling to finally be in a place where we felt comfortable and weren't being intimidated by salespeople. Seems to me that Oakbrook Toyota wants your business; unlike many other Toyota dealerships. I won't hesitate to come back to this dealership when it's time to get another Toyota! More

A major issue occurred and decided it was time to trade it in. After coming to terms that I was going to have to make car payments again, I was fortunate enough to meet Gwen Assaf. Walking around the lot the previous day, I never felt pressured from any sales reps and surprisingly they allowed me space to just look. Huh, so they aren’t vultures like every car place I’ve been to? For a good 2-3 hours, I checked out what was there and did my own inspection. I saw a few things that I liked, but missed a few desired features/functions/color. I’m not saying what they have in stock was not desired; I was seeking something specific that I didn’t see. I spoke to Gwen the next day and she started off with general questions to identify what type of car I was looking at and budget range. Here are a few key areas that made it some much more enjoyable: 1. I didn't feel like I was trying to be sold something beyond what I wanted to pay. 2. She was actually listening, not trying to force something I didn’t want. 3. Patient. I may not be the easiest person to deal at times and consider myself to be good negotiator. Not coming up with what kind of car I wanted, I mentioned that I like manual transmission and not ready to go to a manual. I also want a sun roof! I feel closed in without one. AND, if it came in black, that would be nice. At some point it probably sounded like a Christmas wish list that didn’t exist. She quickly stopped me and told me there was one that wasn’t outside yet. It was black, manual and sunroof. I took a quick look at it…that was exactly what I wanted. Sold… The car was 2 years, very low mileage and still smelled new inside. With a preowned car, nothing is perfect. I mentioned one small thing that was probably petty to me, but she immediately worked on having it corrected. She told me, “that something small to someone else may be a huge to deal to the person that just bought it. We want to make sure you feel like you made the right purchase…to drive out and completely satisfied.” Honestly, it was nice being able to breathe comfortably and not feel like I had to make a decision that very second. Thank you, Gwen, for turning my dreaded situation into an enjoyable experience. If you are in the market for new/used car, stop in and ask for her. Since there are more people there, the service department was wonderful and didn’t make me feel bad after the blow that my car wasn’t going to make it. I wasn’t prepared for that news and they were really patient with me while I was borderline throwing a tantrum. I have great credit and that does help to speed up the process, but the terms were explained clearly and never had a question about what I needed to pay up front. Easy as can be. More

My most recent purchase involved trading in my aging Audi at 80K+ miles (purchased used a few years ago) for a new 2015 Venza. I cruised the web site, found the one I was interested in, and walked in to ask to take a look. Kurt came right up to me, talked about what I wanted in a car (AWD, ESC) and agreed the Venza was a good choice. He took a look at my Audi, then grabbed the Venza for a test ride. I am always nervous driving someone else's car but he was very kind, chatted me through he entire drive and discussed the various features of the car. I made up my mind to move ahead and purchase and he helped me drive it home that day. When I forgot my iPass in my Audi, he went hunting for it and kept it at his desk until I could grab it back. Very pleasant experience, and I will of course head back there for all my service (as well as probably a new car when this one gets long in the tooth...)- you should buy your car here and get it serviced here- honest employees are hard to find when it comes to car service. Great car very poor service/followup I recently April/May 2015 purchased a great car from this dealership but the service after the sale was horrendous. I was never called or contacted by Adam my salesman or the dealership about a few concerns that I had mentioned during the purchase. I was sold a warranty that I have a few questions about and a few other small questions about the car. It may not be profitable for this dealer to sell a $10k car but its real money to me and I expect a call or note to thank me for my business. I am happy with the car and maybe this is the new way of doing business but its a awful way to stay in business. I suggest they read the book " Fit to Bust: How great companies fail " John Burt More

We quickly switched over to Oakbrook Toyota even though we live in Naperville and Toyota of Naperville is so much closer. Oakbrook Toyota has always been nice, prompt and courteous. I called to arrange to have keys made on a vehicle we had bought used. The Parts Department quoted me the price of the part and installation (after consulting with the service dept). Just because I like to double check quotes, I called the service department and they quoted a different price for installation. I was frustrated by the conflicting costs. Long story short....I went Toyota dealership service shopping and found a Toyota dealership to do the job for 1/2 the price of Oakbrook - I saved $200! I would have never guessed that each dealership would charge you differently for the same service. Even the cost of the parts were different. If I would have went to Toyota of Naperville I would have saved $60, but I don't even trust them to do an oil change. People do your due diligence!! More

Wonderful Sales Consultant, General Manager & Business Manag I had originally bought my 2003 Echo from Oakbrook Toyota back in 2003 as a new vehicle and had all of my oil changes, everything done at this dealers I had originally bought my 2003 Echo from Oakbrook Toyota back in 2003 as a new vehicle and had all of my oil changes, everything done at this dealership through the 12 years I owned the vehicle. I was happy then and I was sure I would be happy again. I wouldn't go anyplace other than Oakbrook Toyota. I stopped by on July 2, 2015 to just look at new vehicles. Mustafa greeted me as the sales consultant and I explained that Anita Gomez has spoken with me on the phone and then he had Anita introduce us. Syed Mustafa couldn't have been a better sales person. He was kind, explained the difference between vehicles, and suggested one which he felt would be a perfect match for me. However, it was not in the color I was interested in. He approached Alex Syed the General Manager who stated that they had just gotten in new vehicles which were not on the lot and that he would get that one brought up for me to test drive. I did and I was hooked on the Toyota Camry SLE. It was everything I wanted and I loved the feel of the drive in that vehicle. Especially since I was trading in my 2003 Echo. I Quite a change. Mustafa then introduced me to Steve Niechcielski, Business Manager, who took me through all of the paperwork and was also very kind and funny as well. I was able to get my car with a $500 and a $750 special cash toward purchase as well as a wonderful trade-in value for my Echo. I also wanted heated seats as well as a remote start and Mustafa told me that wouldn't be a problem to have installed on the car either. I drove my new car off the lot that very night and brought it back on Monday, July 7th to have the heated seats and remote start put into the vehicle. I got a free loaner car and then picked up my car again on Monday July 8th. I couldn't have been happier. I will be going to Oakbrook Toyota for everything I need to have done to the car in the future. Thank you Oakbrook Toyota for the excellent sales staff you have working for you. More
