Patient and Reasonable My sales associate was Syed Mustafa. Although this was my second used vehicle purchased from Oakbrook Toyota, this was the first time I had dealt wit My sales associate was Syed Mustafa. Although this was my second used vehicle purchased from Oakbrook Toyota, this was the first time I had dealt with him. He knew his inventory and took me right to the car I was looking for, a moderate-mileage-clean-larger Cadillac. It has been my personal experience that driving in a newer Cadillac felt like riding in a cramped space capsule. I have nothing against Toyotas, but I did not test drive any Toyotas or other used cars because of my personal bias for Cadillac. When I had a question about the condition, he immediately arranged for the car to be taken to service and put up on a rack, where a service representative took a light under the car and he pointed out to me where there was an not-unexpected-consistent-with-age oil leak in the valve covers (not a deal breaker) which was immediately cleaned up. After that, he arranged for me to take it to my usual mechanic to test drive and inspect. When other items were discovered (also not deal breakers), because they were not expert in Cadillac repairs, the price of the vehicle was reduced for a fair accommodation. Personally, Mustafa (he prefers to go by his last name) was polite, candid, patient and in no way aggressive, in his dealings with me as I vacillated in my decision. I would recommend that Oakbrook Toyota be considered for any car purchase - ask for Mustafa. More

Well, I had to change my outlook after my recent purchase at Oakbrook. Sales person Doug was straightforward and honest in his quote and other information about the car, price, specs, features. I purchased my car in about 2 hours without any hassle. Longest time in this 2 hour was sitting down with purchasing department to go through the paperwork for County tax/registrations and such. The only disappointing thing I would say was way low trade-in price for my old car but I sold that in 3 days all by myself so that wasn't much problem after all. Sales manager Cesar Meraz an For months previous to our purchase at Oakbrook Toyota my mother and I visited more than 10 different Toyota dealerships. Sales manager Cesar Meraz and sales associate Pamela Yates took it upon themselves to make our car buying experience as enjoyable as possible and worked to make sure we got the car we'd been looking for. We'd gotten many quotes from other dealerships and Truecar.com and it was no hassle for Cesar and Pam to work with us and give us a deal as good as (and even better) than what we'd previously found. Many managers at other dealerships will not even bother to come and talk to a customer and try and make a deal. It was a refreshing feeling to finally be in a place where we felt comfortable and weren't being intimidated by salespeople. Seems to me that Oakbrook Toyota wants your business; unlike many other Toyota dealerships. I won't hesitate to come back to this dealership when it's time to get another Toyota! More
Thank you Gwen! “Ugh, do I have to go buy another car!?!?!,” where the words that uttered out of my mouth last week. I was happy my “old” car and it was paid for. A m “Ugh, do I have to go buy another car!?!?!,” where the words that uttered out of my mouth last week. I was happy my “old” car and it was paid for. A major issue occurred and decided it was time to trade it in. After coming to terms that I was going to have to make car payments again, I was fortunate enough to meet Gwen Assaf. Walking around the lot the previous day, I never felt pressured from any sales reps and surprisingly they allowed me space to just look. Huh, so they aren’t vultures like every car place I’ve been to? For a good 2-3 hours, I checked out what was there and did my own inspection. I saw a few things that I liked, but missed a few desired features/functions/color. I’m not saying what they have in stock was not desired; I was seeking something specific that I didn’t see. I spoke to Gwen the next day and she started off with general questions to identify what type of car I was looking at and budget range. Here are a few key areas that made it some much more enjoyable: 1. I didn't feel like I was trying to be sold something beyond what I wanted to pay. 2. She was actually listening, not trying to force something I didn’t want. 3. Patient. I may not be the easiest person to deal at times and consider myself to be good negotiator. Not coming up with what kind of car I wanted, I mentioned that I like manual transmission and not ready to go to a manual. I also want a sun roof! I feel closed in without one. AND, if it came in black, that would be nice. At some point it probably sounded like a Christmas wish list that didn’t exist. She quickly stopped me and told me there was one that wasn’t outside yet. It was black, manual and sunroof. I took a quick look at it…that was exactly what I wanted. Sold… The car was 2 years, very low mileage and still smelled new inside. With a preowned car, nothing is perfect. I mentioned one small thing that was probably petty to me, but she immediately worked on having it corrected. She told me, “that something small to someone else may be a huge to deal to the person that just bought it. We want to make sure you feel like you made the right purchase…to drive out and completely satisfied.” Honestly, it was nice being able to breathe comfortably and not feel like I had to make a decision that very second. Thank you, Gwen, for turning my dreaded situation into an enjoyable experience. If you are in the market for new/used car, stop in and ask for her. Since there are more people there, the service department was wonderful and didn’t make me feel bad after the blow that my car wasn’t going to make it. I wasn’t prepared for that news and they were really patient with me while I was borderline throwing a tantrum. I have great credit and that does help to speed up the process, but the terms were explained clearly and never had a question about what I needed to pay up front. Easy as can be. More

My most recent purchase involved trading in my aging Audi at 80K+ miles (purchased used a few years ago) for a new 2015 Venza. I cruised the web site, found the one I was interested in, and walked in to ask to take a look. Kurt came right up to me, talked about what I wanted in a car (AWD, ESC) and agreed the Venza was a good choice. He took a look at my Audi, then grabbed the Venza for a test ride. I am always nervous driving someone else's car but he was very kind, chatted me through he entire drive and discussed the various features of the car. I made up my mind to move ahead and purchase and he helped me drive it home that day. When I forgot my iPass in my Audi, he went hunting for it and kept it at his desk until I could grab it back. Very pleasant experience, and I will of course head back there for all my service (as well as probably a new car when this one gets long in the tooth...)- you should buy your car here and get it serviced here- honest employees are hard to find when it comes to car service. More
