Don't buy extended warranty My cousin, an older gentleman never bought a car on his own before. purchased a used Chevy from O/R Nissan. They pushed him into buying an extended wa My cousin, an older gentleman never bought a car on his own before. purchased a used Chevy from O/R Nissan. They pushed him into buying an extended warranty offered by a third party. He paid $3100 for this warranty which was added to the amount financed. 16 months and only 12,000 miles his A/C goes out. Car taken back to O/R Nissan where he purchased it and the warranty folks told him to take it .They kept the car for 2 days and could not diagnose the issue. Told us to take it to a Chevy dealer, which we did they diagnosed the issue in 45 minutes, sent in a claim to the third party service company and it was denied. Says very clearly on the contract, in generalities what parts are covered, i.e. driver controlled electronics, electronic motors, etc. Yet this get denied because it is not part of the electronics package. Bottom line its a module that controls a push rod that opens and closes a door along with a housing for these parts. You would think 12,000 miles into a 42,000 mile contract and 16 months after purchasing O/R Nissan would go to bat and get it fixed. No they did not and when asked about canceling the policy which contract says you can do anytime no one could tell us what amount would be refunded. Ask both parties dealership and service provider both said twice you need to get with other party. Bottom line O/R Nissan took advantage of an older fixed income person which has now passed on and his sister now has a car with no A/C that will cost $1200 to get fixed and the financed company is owed more than the car is worth. Sad situation, I would never deal or recommend Oak Ridge Nissan. More

Quick Response to AC Problem My AC quit putting out cool air suddenly. I called HOME Anderson, who I usually deal with from the service department. He was off that day so I spoke My AC quit putting out cool air suddenly. I called HOME Anderson, who I usually deal with from the service department. He was off that day so I spoke with Darrell. He told me to bring it right down. They took it right away and determined that the compressor had gone out. They had one on stock and were able to fix it while I waited. I have a 2015 Rogue with 21,000 miles. I don't think it should have gone out but at least I was able to get it replaced. My 36k warranty had just expired fortunately I have an extended warranty so it wasn't too expensive. More
