I went in to Nissan Oak Ridge to look into trading in my vehicle for another. While there on Friday 11/29/24 I worked with Jaleel Luther. We test drove a 2025 Nissan Kicks, I tried applying to be approved f vehicle for another. While there on Friday 11/29/24 I worked with Jaleel Luther. We test drove a 2025 Nissan Kicks, I tried applying to be approved for the vehicle, was told I needed a cosigner. My dad has cosigned for me previously so Jaleel said if he would agree he just needed to speak with him and get his permission for me to sign maiden name for his signature. Which my father agreed to cosign. Jaleel spoke with my dad and knows that my dad agreed to cosign and only cosign. No numbers that were given to me that day were anything I agreed to so I left without purchase. Saturday, 11/30/24, I get call from Jaleel, he tells me they came up with a deal to get me in a 2024 kicks with the payment range I was asking. So I go in to test drive and look at the numbers. When I arrive Jaleel says he's busy so I then work with Ben Chance. We test drive & Ben shows me the offer they've come up with to which I agree. Never once at this point has anyone told me that this agreement had my father, who only agreed to cosign, as coborrower. When the paperwork process started they said I needed my dad present, which I was told the day before he didn't have to be. I questioned why he needed to be there when they already had his consent to cosign to which I was told "for notary reasons he had to sign in person." My dad would not come in. Ben then says if I sign now, he can then go meet my dad with the paperwork for him to sign. Which he agreed to do. While signing, I asked why I was signing cosigner, to which I was told by Ben "where I signed did not matter as long as both signatures were signed." I also ask Richard, the finance manager, why I was signing second as this was to be my loan, my dad only cosigner. He told me as well, how the papers are signed doesn't matter because the title will say "or" not "and." Ben meets with dad at Alcoa Walmart around 7pm. Never once was my dad told what he was signing was him being a coborrower. We only agreed to him being cosigner. After papers were signed, neither me or my dad was given any copies of the paperwork, and to this day (12/4/2024) we still do not have any copies of our documents. None of this sat well with me so I went home did some research and realized they had us sign for my dad to be Primary borrower over a loan he only agreed to co-sign. & I was cosigner for him. The next day, 12/1/2024, I go back into Nissan, i speak with Jaleel and tell him my paperwork was done incorrectly, as my father never agreed to be primary over this loan. To which he went to Richard so Richard then spoke with me. I told him the way the papers were signed was incorrect this was to be my loan and my dad only co-signing, to which he said, the bank didn't care how the paperwork was signed because what matters is that the title says "or." I then asked for copies of my contract to which I was told they did not have because Ben was off and still had them with him and that he would mail them. On Monday, 12/2, I reach out to my insurance to find that I can't even put insurance on the car without my father. So I then reach out to Knoxville TVA, the lender, to see what could be done because the loan papers were signed incorrectly to which I was told can only be fixed through the dealer. So I call Ben, I tell him the situation with my insurance and I explain to him the loan was never to be made my dads, and that I couldn't even get insured without him which has never happened with him being my cosigner previously to my other car loans. He then told me I needed to find new insurance because he has never heard of this. I tell him the bank says only they can change the paperwork and that I needed something done because my dad was never told this would be primarily his loan. He tells me he's going to get with Richard and get back to me. Later He does text to say Richard is going to handle it. Haven't been contacted since. More

After reaching out it was told the warranty won't cover the whole cost so they had to reach out to underwriting....I understand it being a holiday weekend but I've been without my car for 4 days and they started working on it today....I have to wait until a camera comes to be replaced even though I told them twice it was doing it and I get told they cleared out the code and didn't even tell me they cleared it out they told me there was nothing wrong and they couldn't find nothing ...now when I bring it in they said the camera is bad it's been like that for 2 years now and they didn't fix it.... Then they say my ties are going bad and I've only put 30,000 miles on them and paid over 300-400 dollars...makes me wonder if they gave me used tires and charge for new ones because I hardly drive my car my tires should not be warn when it takes normally 50,000 miles or longer...nothing wrong with alignment I had checked and done a while back Even when they had the buy back cars I got dismissed by a temp agent that had no idea what the promotion was and said nothing can be done...I don't know why I'm getting treated like this I'm .not happy at all After the repairs I will be getting work done else where that will treat me with respect....When I decide to trade in I won't be using your place as I don't feel like a value customer anymore very disappointed More
These guys saved me $5K on a new vehicle purchase…. because they treated me so badly I left their dealership and went to Nissan of Cookeville.
