We were a bit nervous based on having had some bad experiences in the past working with different salespeople at a f We needed to purchase a vehicle. We were a bit nervous based on having had some bad experiences in the past working with different salespeople at a few local dealerships; my wife informed me that she was not visiting dealerships. I contacted O'Daniel Ford to express my interest in two types of vehicles on their lot; after talking to the Salesperson we scheduled an appointment. Upon arriving, both types of vehicles were sitting near the Sales Office. We went to the Salesperson office and discussed the advantages of both vehicles in regard to the vehicle performance, cost, and advantages of ownership. That discussion led to the lot where the Salesperson demonstrated the features, comforts, options, and convenience of the vehicles. We agreed on a trade-in value for my truck; we agreed on a purchase price; everyone I worked with was friendly and courteous! I informed my wife of the deal, she was very happy. The Salesperson worked with the Business Manager in arranging a meeting to complete the sale. My wife and I met with the Salesperson and the Business Manager (very short meeting), we signed the paperwork and my wife left the dealership. The Salesperson then transferred our license plates, reviewed the operations of the vehicle, then thoroughly explained and demonstrated all of the features of the vehicle. Since our purchase the Salesperson has followed up with us to ensure that we are happy with the vehicle and Thank us for our business. We would highly recommend purchasing a vehicle form O'Daniel Ford! My wife wants to shop for her next vehicle at O'Daniel sometime next year. More
Great Deal and Excellent Service I was looked at a specific vehicle on the Illinois Road lot. I met with Shawn, reached an agreement and picked the car up the next day. We have been looking for the last three weeks, and didn't have any luck until we met with you. Before stopping at your dealership we had already visited 4 other lots, and not one person took the time to meet with us. However, our experience at your dealership was quite different. Everyone was friendly, and went out of their way to locate the truck we were looking for. Additionally, we were extremely pleased with the time you took looking for rebates to assist us in our purchase. The best part was that at no time did we feel pressured to buy something. Instead it was a very comfortable atmosphere, and the sales people even went along with us to play a little joke on one his coworkers (Sorry John). Sales experience with dealership As frequent car purchaser (seems like I am buying a car every 3 years or so), I had grown so tired of the "dealership game" that I pretty much had gi As frequent car purchaser (seems like I am buying a car every 3 years or so), I had grown so tired of the "dealership game" that I pretty much had given up on them. Do your research (Car Gurus), find a private party and close the deal. This time I decided to try out of town dealerships. Since I was willing to drive (in this case over 4 hours), folks should know I am serious and packing cash. Having said that, after my research and "offer" on-line, I was curious to see the response. Initially it started to unfold like the traditional pattern. Comments such as this is the best we can do, we have more in it than that, etc. etc. I was patient and finally heard from Tony Ballinger. He was straight up with me in regards to the conversation he had with his manager. I made an offer, and that was my offer. The dealership decided to work with me for the overall good of the monthly numbers and to hopefully earn a customer who may become a repeat buyer. If you treat me right, I will be back. I expect to buy another vehicle from Tony in the future. I realize I will not always get the deal I want. If I do, great. If not, there are other dealerships out there that may have a reason to accept my request. Tony got it close enough to give this dealership a shot at earning (and keeping) my business for now and in the future. Tony was very helpful and went beyond the norm in regards to customer service. I also try to through a little extra tip to my salesrep. He decided not to accept my extra cash offer, which only tells me that he will probably still be at the dealership next time I return to buy a vehicle. He has taken his approach to this business as "his business". That's what professionals do. He was a pleasure to work with and I appreciate his honesty and going that extra mile. Thanks Tony! BTW, I purchased a 2005 used Ford Escape. I would reccommend this dealer to people who may be looking for a vehicle. Keep up the low pressure tactics and let your cars do the talking. Quality vehicles at fair prices = sales. We call that a WIN / WIN. I will probably be back at some point, even though it is nearly a 5-hour drive. Tony had never seen me before last Thursday May 15th and it only took me 30 minutes to figure out that hes was the best salesman I had ever worked with. He took the time to make me very comfortable, no pressure of any kind and I enjoyed that aspect of Tony. He has followed up constantly asking if there was anything else that he could help me with, I even drove back to the dealership to ask a question and he had me rolling within 15 minutes. O'Daniel Ford would be extremely remiss if they ever let him slip out the door to another dealership.Tony is the main reason I would buy another vehicle from O'Daniel Ford. Ford commercials were playing and we knew our next pickup would be a Ford. Scott was great! He listened to our "must haves" and "would likes" and spent the next several days searching for the perfect match. He stayed in contact with us throughout the search showing us different options that filled our requirement list. We got the perfect truck and couldn't be happier. Scott was on vacation when we took delivery and he made sure everything was taken care of. We were so impressed that Scott contacted us (while on vacation) to make sure everything went well.
