I dealt with this dealership for over two weeks in which time they renegotiated with me due to the inability to produce my desired vehicle. This new deal they made with me was one in which they were losing money, regardless they offered that price and shook on it. After having left several messages in an attempt to come up with a time to pick up the vehicle I had left a deposit on I learned that they sold it without informing me for a better profit to another customer. They refunded my deposit check and I went elsewhere. THIS BUISNESS HAS RECENTLY LOST THEIR BETTER BUISNESS BUREAU ACCREDITATION The only positive I can say is that our salesperson (Luke) was always optimistic and kind to us. We never had any issues with him and he was always prompt in returning phone calls unlike the management team. More

However, in the past few days, the dealership really stepped up to make sure that I was happy with my purchase and they were really responsive to fixing the few things that had gone wrong. I was contacted by several managers and they took action to fix what went a little awry. I really appreciated the time they took to give me a call - it is a great indication of true customer service. In hindsight, I probably should have waited a few days before posting a review to allow for everything to straighten out but I was already in a skeptical mood due to a bad experience that I had at a different dealer earlier in the week. Reasons why I highly recommend Clay: Clay Hyundai was able to offer a great price on the Hyundai Elantra that was considerably lower than a lot of other dealerships in the region (they price matched truecar.com). The sales rep that I worked with was FANTASTIC (Jerry). I would highly recommend that you ask for him when you come in. One of the issues that I had was with a glitch in transferring the registration from my old car to the new one. Because Massachusetts only allows 7 days to complete this transaction, it was coming down to the deadline. As such, Jerry drove the registration up to my workplace (more than 30 miles away each way) ON HIS DAY OFF to make sure that I got it on time. Major kudos to this guy!! He really went out of his way to make sure that everything was perfect. Finally, I ended up with a great car. It's obviously way too early to know that for certain but after a few days of driving it, I'm really happy with my purchase. The Hyundai's have come a long way in the last few years. More

I visited and talked to several dealerships while shopping for a car. I was undecided on a new or used and even make and model. My salesperson at Clay, Charlie, was very pleasant and helpful. He, and his sales managers, worked very hard to find the right car for me. They were all pleasantly persistent without being pushy. They offered me several options, were very flexible, and put together a great deal on a new car. After agreeing on a deal, the office staff were just as pleasant and helpful in getting the paperwork done. I am very happy with the car, the deal and the experience. I wanted to say that Dan went above and beyond trying to find me the specific Tahoe that I was looking for. When we found that the vehicle had been sold by another dealer Dan had worked with me to buy a Tahoe that was on the lot. I bought one and I am so happy with it. Dan is very pleasant, has a great personality and made my entire experience a happy one. We have bought a total of 5 cars from Clay through the years. I would recommend Clay to anyone looking for a vehicle and especially for them to see Dan. All I can say is that he is the BEST in all aspects of sales and provided me with total quality customer service. More
I would like to report a negative experience that I had at the dealership that I bought my car. I was there yesterday for my first oil change and I stopped by the sales room to say hello to the salesperson at the dealership that I bought my car. The salesman proceeded to berate me over the not so positive survey that I completed, stating that he has not been able to collect "Hyundai bonus money" because of receiving a low score. I was not expecting this treatment and felt very embarrassed being humiliated by the sales person. He was not professional and I probably will not go back there for service or my next purchase. I am also planning to contact the general manager of the dealership as well. I expect a response from Hyundai for the negative treatment that I received at this establishment. More

Went to this dealer for my 60K Hyundai Elantra service. They seem to have done a pretty decent job. I shopped around with several other dealerships. All of them quoted a price for the 60K service + timing They seem to have done a pretty decent job. I shopped around with several other dealerships. All of them quoted a price for the 60K service + timing belt change upwards of $1K ! Imagine buying a car because of its low cost and ending up paying so much for the servicing. At Clay, I ended up paying a total of $750 for the 60K service + timing belt change + new radio antenna. While the price might be a bit more (about 200-300 more I might say) than other mechanics, I think its important to have these bigger thing done at a dealership. My previous experience was with Tom Hyundai in Newton which was terrible: for 30K service, the guy was haggling upwards of 800K for the 30K service, and they destroyed my gearbox. I had so little faith in them that I got an independent mechanic to fix things for me again, at my own expense. I waiting lounge is quite comfortable. I deposited the vehicle at 8:10am on a Saturday, waited, and picked it up at 2:30 or so. The folks are quite polite and reasonable. I had recently done an oil change elsewhere, and they were nice enough not to charge me for an oil change I didn't need. They even have free coffee/capucinno etc vending machine, as well as a nice 42 inch TV showing CNN. Highly recommended. More
Wife and I went into the dealership this past weekend and wound up buying a demo Veracruz. I had worked in the car sales industry years ago and so asked a few questions to sniff out whether the sales associ wound up buying a demo Veracruz. The no pressure sales approach was 10 times better than what you'll find right next door at Boch. These folks are on the level. Do your homework, come in with a realistic price and you'll walk away happy. I was very happy with the price, the vehicle and the service. Also the lounge was nice -- they must've refurbished it since one of the older posts since I spent about 30 minutes watching the Pats on a big screen tv (the Bruins were on the smaller tv) while drinking free hot chocolate. Not to mention that the Veracruz blows away the Highlander (don't care forthe body style), Pilot or CRV. More
After liking the Camry, I decided to look at the Sonata at Clay as they are the largest Hyundai dealer in the area. Pat Ford was very patient and knowlegeable. I liked the car. He let me know that they were a volume dealer and would beat anyone on price. I made a rediculous offer which was accepted,and bought the car $500 under invoice, which was 5k less than the Camry, and got a good trade. I liked their no pressure approach and they were close to the best financing, so I let them finance. No comment on service yet, but I do reccomend them for sales without reservation. No fancy customer lounge or even a decent coffee machine, but an excellent buying experience. Make sure you give the process plenty of time. More
