Went to turn in my leased vehicle after talking to differnt people on the phone and was told to bring in the vehicle with the early payoff amount. We asked if we need to go to Detroit! After arguing and waiting we were finally "allowed" to leave the vehicle. I had dealt with Clay in Newton for about 20 years and they were great. Clay of Norwood was very good 2 1/2 years ago when we leased; I guess they do not like it when you turn in a car! More

My original visit was for routine service maintenance but due to the age of my vehicle it was more financially prudent for me to look at the new vehicles than to go ahead with the work which would have been due to the age of my vehicle it was more financially prudent for me to look at the new vehicles than to go ahead with the work which would have been needed. Daniel Martin approached me in a friendly & professional manner as I entered the showroom & was able to walk me through the new car purchase with ease. Danny was courteous, patient & answered all of my questions & concerns. If he was unable to answer, he immediately found the answer from a fellow employee. This was all to my satisfaction. I never felt pressured by him in any way. I left the dealership feeling good about my new vehicle purchase. I had to return on the next day to pick up the vehicle & plates & Danny greeted me warmly & again answered any further questions I may have had. While waiting for the RMV runner to return with the plates, which took all day, Danny periodically called or went upstairs to find out what the issue was & why was it taking so long. He offered to buy me lunch whereas I spent the entire day waiting for the plates for the car. Danny has called a few times since my purchase just to make sure that everything is OK. I really appreciate it. More
Dave Hernandez has been my service consultant at Clay Hyundai for as long as I can remember. Dave always welcomed me with a smile & we got to know each other so well I didn't even have to give him my nam Hyundai for as long as I can remember. Dave is a stand-up guy and as far as I can determine an outstanding employee and asset to the Clay Hyundai organization. Dave always explained everthin in laypersons terms and if you had reservations about the urgency of the work, he explained if it was an immediate safety issue or something which could wait until a later time. David always made sure that as you waited for your vehicle to be serviced that you were comfortable in the waiting area. More
My family recently relocated to the US from Britain. We soon realized that a car was essential and immediately started looking for a family car. After visiting several local car dealerships we were consist soon realized that a car was essential and immediately started looking for a family car. After visiting several local car dealerships we were consistently informed that we do not qualify for car finance as we do not have any credit history in the US given recent arrival in the US. This experience was very frustrating for us as we had to a pay deposit each time we visited the different dealerships only to be told that they were unable to secure car finance for us. Nevertheless, we persisted in our search and eventually saw an SUV advertised by Clay Hyundai-Chevrolet in Norwood which appeared to meet our needs. We called Clay Hyundai and were put in touch with Mr Robert Duran, a sales consultant with the dealership. Given that we live about 20 miles from Norwood and did not have a car we asked if they could drive the car to our home for us to inspect and test drive. The Used car manager quickly agreed to do so and allowed Mr. Robert Duran to bring the car over to our house. After test driving the car we confirmed our interest in the car and explained our credit lack of credit history and difficulty to secure car finance to Robert. He assured us that will do all he could to work with his finance officer, Mr. Sosa to track potential funders for us. This promised materialized as they eventually found us a funding company that was prepared to offer us car finance after we have paid 50% of the cost of the car. We were extremely impressed with Mr. Duran’s salesmanship and mannerism as he was extremely gentle, not pushy, not dismissive and very supportive all through the process. He called to give us regular updates on the paperwork and the whole process as well as continued feedback on the finance search. He eventually delivered our car at our home and has continued to been in touch since. We were very much appreciated his friendly nature and composure. Mr. Duran answered all our questions and enquiries and promptly responded to our phone calls. He even offered to take us grocery shopping given our limited mobility situation. He also supervised the various checks and repairs that needed to be made on the car as we agreed with the dealership and used car manager. Mr. Robert Duran is a decent person and appears sincere and genuine to us. These traits made us more confident in doing business with him and his dealership. Mr. Duran’s salesmanship really impressed us and we are keen to keep in touch with him and hope to continue to be friends. More
