The engine is fine. The government has imposed these safety and environmental regulations that have created this incredibly expensive repair process. I filled in the OK circle under price above because I understand these are Honda parts and personnel so the price is high. I don't blame Honda - I am upset at the regulations that are smothering us all. It's difficult to rate the quality of work because the engine needs to run 2 weeks before I can take it in for an inspection. I am assuming the quality of work is very good or excellent but it is still hard for me to determine it now. The fresh coffee, muffins, danish and fruit are wonderful. So are the newspapers and flat screen TV. This is the only car repair center that I have no problem waiting while my car is being repaired. More
I was in this dealership (BOCH HONDA) on tuesday for service and had a check engine light on. My service advisor was Vincent McInnis. Vinny was very helful and friendly and did everything he could to ge service and had a check engine light on. My service advisor was Vincent McInnis. Additionally the light came back on the next evening because of a sensor that also needed to be changed and I showed up later in the evening during a snow storm when the dealership was getting close to closing and Vinny made sure that the technicians took care of my car so I wouldn't have to come back another day. It is clear to see why Boch is such a successful dealership, because in most cases the service people in other dealerships that I have dealt with are rude, Its almost like after a sale is made they don't care about you. This is not the case at Boch... Keep up the good work. More
I gave my "5" rating because I have brought my Honda Civic Hybrid in for problems with the Hybrid as well as for regular maintenance to Boch Honda. I bought my Honda at Boch as well as several other Hondas over the years. Whenever I have had a problem, I have received the utmost care and consideration, especially from Greg Harris who is my present service representative. Mr. Harris has been especially wonderful because he always listens to me no matter how confused I am, and takes time to explain the problem to me in a way I can understand. One time, my car had been "fixed" but was not right, he took care of the situation immediately. Whenever I call, he always has time for my questions, and does not become irritated as many others have. Also he is always fair and does not try to get me to do things that I don't really need to have done. At first, I didn't want to take my Honda to the dealer because they are more expensive, but since working with Greg, I am convinced that it is worth the extra money to have satisfaction in knowing that my Honda is getting the best care it can have. And, by the way, I love my Honda Hybrid (so glad I didn't buy a Toyota.) More
Most people I know loathe taking their car in for service. I must say that in my 6 years of bringing my car to Boch Service Honda I have never had a negative experience. I tribute this mostly in part to the wonderful attention I have received from service representative, Greg Harris. He is honest, responsible and explains the service in terms I can understand. He always lets me know how long my car is going to take for the service and I've never waited for more than that. He is respectful of my time and tries to speed the process when I have my young child with me. When I have had car problems Greg has quoted me a price to fix the issue and it has never exceeded that amount. I would highly recommend Boch Honda for service and sincerely appreciate Greg Harris. He should be recognized! More
I live in Maine and was on vacation when I got a flat tire. I then took my car to Boch Honda for service. I was greeted as soon as I arrived by Sean who was very helpful and friendly. The tire needed to be replaced, they were able to complete this repir in a timely manner and had me and my children back to our vacation in no time. The children loved the children's room. There were movies to watch and activities to play with to keep them busy. I only wish I lived closer so I could have this type of service on a regular basis. More
I bought my Honda about 2 and 1/2 years ago. I love my car and I love this dealership! I bought my car from Boch and have had my car serviced here-Everytime. Every Oil Change, maintance and any concerns I've had with the car-I have always been treated EXCELLENT! My latest trip to Boch was for an oil change, I had 2 of my kids with me. Sean greated me and my kids with a big smile, asked what I was there for and showed me where the "kids room" was so they wouldn't get impaitent waiting for the car to be serviced. As we were waiting a very nice, kind woman, with a BIG Smile named Maria walked by and saw me and my kids hanging out in the room and told us there were some snacks in the main waiting room and to go help ourselves. She walked us over and showed myself and kids what there was for them-complementary.... MY kids were eleated! Fruit cups, muffins, coffee-This dealership knows how to take care of their customers! When the car was ready about 40 minutes later-seamed like we were there for only 10 minutes-Sean came and got us, walked us to the cashier and explained what was done to the car. He THANKED US-for letting him take care of us-were do you find that kind of customer service these days. My kids can't wait to go back there again! More
This past summer I brought my 1996 Honda Civic to Boch Honda because my air conditioning wasn't working and because I was due for an oil change. Also, my belts squeaked a little when I started the car. I also had an SRS light on my dashboard which came on after a jump that I had gotten earlier that year. I brought all these issues to their attention and they said they would look at it. (Mind you, the summer beforehand the air conditioning also broke and they "fixed it" then too, only to have it break the next summer.) While working on my car they said that it would cost over $1000 to turn off the SRS light. They also said they fixed the belts, and needed to order a $800 part to fix the air conditioning (again, supposedly fixed the summer before). They also said my brake drums needed replacing or my car would fail its annual inspection. They also said that the light absolutely had to be turned off or else the car would fail inspection. I took my car at that point (without the oil change being done.) I took my car to National Tire and Battery to have them look at the brakes. They said nothing was wrong with the break drums. I brought my car to get inspected, and it passed inspection, light on and everything. Recently, my car had trouble starting, so I brought it to a mechanic who said the belts needed to be fixed. Wait a minute, didn't Boch Honda fix the belts a couple months ago? The mechanic also managed to turn off the SRS light for free. We will never go back to Boch Honda. More
I purchased my 03 Accord new from another dealer in 2002. They were ok. However, I have heard so many things about the mighty 'BOCH', I decided to give them a shot. I was fearful that the bigger the company the smaller I would be to them. NOT the CASE! Pleasantly surprised when I called, no appointment required. I was fearful. I got there today, a Saturday at 9:30am, not only was the check in experience unbelievable (I pulled inside and did not have to get out of my car in the rain), the advisor who met me with a smile was just an overall nice guy, Greg. I was floored. Still waiting for the ball to drop, he advised me on the next visit recommendations, provided me with literature to support his suggestions and directed me to the waiting room. Free coffee, muffins, the newspaper, big screen TV... now I wondered why I waited so long. I was out of there in 40 mins and the whole atmosphere was exciting. Everyone appeared so professional. I did not even feel like I was at a car store. I hope the next time will be as good as this. I know no one is perfect, but this was really close. More
I have a 1998 Honda Civic and a 2008 Honda Accord. I bought the honda accord at BOCH and it wasn't that painful, but the only reason I will continue to use Boch is the exceptional service dept. They are always upfront with not only wait times, but with the cost as well. The best part about this service dept are the people. They let me know that on my civic, I could use a 130,000 mile service, but told me that I could wait another 10,000 miles if I needed to. I was so impressed with their honesty. I like to take good care of my car, (why be stranded waiting for AAA when I could have replaced something when I found out about it) so I opted to get the service, but it was such a great feeling knowing that they were on my side... not out out to make the almighty dollar... Another great experience I had was when I bought my new car. The service dept gave me a key chain that gave me two free oil changes (the first one and the fourth one). How great is that! Now I even receive coupons and reminders in the mail so I don't even have to think about my car (they do all that for me) Trust me I need all the help I can get :) Well, just wanted to let someone know that not all dealerships are bad... The service here was outstanding!!! I had to get an oil change and tire rotation. I had my three children with me. Maria Lopez in service-was OUTSTANDING. I've never met anyone so PLEASENT in the car industry to deal with. She brought me and the kids to there great play room for the kids to just hang out, watch a movie, tv, color, play with a children's computer or play with lego's. They didn't want to leave when the car was ready. She then showed me desks with wi-fi connections if you have your laptop and phones at your disposale. Also, the kids loved that no matter what time of day we got there they could have free-muffins, danish or donuts-I love the coffee! I will definatly be back. More
