DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. I’ve literally only ever posted two google reviews and they are both on garbage dealerships. I wouldn’t ask anyone at this place to put water on me if I was on fire. This is exactly why I bought from Lee Summit VW and not Northtowne. I figured for parts and service I would go here instead of driving all the way to Lee Summit bc it’s closer. WRONG!!! I placed a parts order and was told it would be in the next day. “That’s quick” I said to the guy over the phone and was told there was a fast turn around if ordered before noon. The same guy set me up with an appointment the next day. I came in, The parts weren’t there. No big deal really. Now. it takes a lot for me to get really upset, things happen, the service guy named Bobby (only decent guy there) was apologetic and explained that the warehouses were closed and he didn’t know why I was told they would be in. It was a waste of 2 hours of my day but the man assured me it would be handled, so I took his word and rescheduled. Came in the next day and I arrived 10 mins before my appointment and waited 45 mins and my car hadn’t even left the loading bay. This was after being told would take to hours to put the parts on. At this point I was starting to get pissed because they now they are wasting even more of my time. When I went to tell the other service guy named Barry what my issue was, he went to the service Manager Chris Stroud who flippantly brushes it off and chalked it up as “hey sorry man xxxx happens, oh well” and acted like it was no big deal and that I was overreacting. That sent me overboard. So then I call for the General Manager and spoke with Russ Fortner and he assured me he would rectify the situation, and that he would call me back. It’s been 5 days and not a word from him. All I wanted was some common courtesy or someone to say hey guy, we are running behind especially they already wanted my time previously. Nope, just got attitude from the Service dept. They don’t really care about their customers, It’s just about screwing people over. This is the xxxxxxx cut rate service you get from a dealership that already has a bad service reputation and poor work ethic. More

The absolute worst customer service Bought a CPO 2015 GTI on 11/10/18 took the car back on 11/14/18 for a small water leak at the windshield/sunroof. The dealer had the car for month an Bought a CPO 2015 GTI on 11/10/18 took the car back on 11/14/18 for a small water leak at the windshield/sunroof. The dealer had the car for month and said the car was fixed. Picked up the car on 12/14/18 and made it a few miles away before water poured in all over me. They made the leak extremely worse. Took the car back to the dealer. Told them it was worse. Took the car home for a few days then returned the car to the dealer on 12/27/18. As of 2/14/19 the car is still not fixed and still at the dealer. The owner Larry Lefever and the sales manager Russ Fortner said they would not do anything for compensation. They are only going to fix the car if they even can. More
Don't trust them to payoff your trade in I traded cars with Northtowne Volkwagon in May 2018,still owed on trade in. They agreed to pay off trade in,I gave them account number & phone number of financial institution and "estimated" pay off from the financial institution app on my phone. They only paid that amount WITHOUT calling to get an EXACT payoff! 2 weeks later I find out that I still owed over $1000 and I contacted the dealership to inform them and they told me it wasn't their problem! I had no choice but to pay it off to keep my credit from being destroyed! My salesman,Steven Dee was excellent to work with but I'd never purchase from any of Northtowne Auto Group dealerships again! More
Easygoing and patient staff! Jerry Hall sold me my car and I was impressed from the start. I really don't like it when salesmen want to sit you down and fill out paperwork in what kind of car you want- I'd rather go right up to the cars themselves and look. Jerry took us right outside and showed me the cars I was looking for once I told him. He was quick and to the point, while yet being patient with me. On the test drive he did not try and sell me the car or tell me about how I needed it. He let me enjoy it while offering occasional perks about that car. He was very easy going and honest about the car. He offered several times after I bought the car that if I ever needed anything I could call him. I enjoyed my experience at Northtowne and would recommend to anyone! More

Don't believe the CPO Inspection from this dealership! We purchased a Certified Pre-Owned Hyundai Azera from Mike Lopez after checking their reviews. There should have been decent tires on a car with 23,20 We purchased a Certified Pre-Owned Hyundai Azera from Mike Lopez after checking their reviews. There should have been decent tires on a car with 23,200 miles but after driving just 2700 miles, my car with just 25,961 miles needed a new set of tires! This was after it 'passed' the Hyundai CPO 150 point check! Mike basically said " I just sold the car, talk to my manager". The manager Russ Fortner never bothered to contact me since he never planned to make it right. My advice - Double check any used car you buy here and don't pay extra for the hype!! I would never purchase from this dealership again. More

Have the car inspected by another place, so you can really find out if the car is going to last, or if it's going to be broken down in a month. I have never heard anything good about the Used Car department. When it comes to following any of the common sense laws they don't. I walked into the show room and no sales people even greeted me, they just went back to their desk and sat there watching me look at the larger Tiguan? I loved my current one, but it was just to small and I loved the larger one. I finally asked the guy the price and it was like I was asking for a kidney. He walked off. I had my title and check book in hand. I walked out and went to the BMW dealership and they treated me great!!! After doing some research that is public knowledge, Northtowne is well known for selling cars without a clear title, given customers false reports on past history. And any educated buyer knows you can't sell a car without having a clear title. I have already had a complaint with the BBB, and also a complaint with the CSS (Dealerships get a bonus on these), and The States Attorney General. Don't be scared, they are just criminals that put peoples life at risk. I wonder if the head guy of the used cars department would put anyone in his own family in car that he sells! Reach out to me and I will tell you where you can go for free inspections on a car before you buy, and the dealership shouldn't have an issue with this if they stand behind the car and sale!
