Be aware that the advertised price will not be their sale price. We saw an internet ad for a price of $50,105 and the salesperson ok'ed it. One of the managers then came over with a price of $51,105 PLUS another $1600 of nonsensical, made up fees. They attempted to charge us almost $900 for "paperwork" and almost $700 for "service". They were unable to justify this cost aside from saying that it was for "paperwork" NYS has a cap of $175 for a processing fee. Finally another manager agreed to honor the price when we were walking out. Salesman was excellent, but the games the one manager played were disgraceful. More
I finished purchasing Sorento EX-XLine after visiting 7 Kia dealerships and 5 other Brand Dealerships over a few weeks and kept coming back to the Sorento. Northstar Kia was a last-minute visit cause of their Internet Communications Team Ms. Tucker constantly followed up with calls and kept saying that the sales team can do a great deal for you and so I gave in and visited the location and she was right. I have already done my homework for the amount of months, APR, and downplay and my preferred monthly payment should be based of researching available APR for KIA for that year's model and searching for average dealer invoice cost plus MSRP cost and Taxes and DMV registration fees for that dealer to process, I did my best and came with a fair number to start at and presented that number to each dealer i visited and each one came back with very high number cause they didn't want to negotiate with their incentive allowance from the manufacturer, but with Northstart I said what i wanted for car and here's my proposal for months, APR, downpayment and monthly, what ever adjustment they needed to do to reach each target was on them, Mr. Alonso a manager just said No Problem ill make that happen and he did with no negotiating for a higher number, was a fair deal for them and me, Mr Alonso assign me sale rep Oscar and he started the paper work and 3 hours later i had my car, but experience at this location was so pleasant compare to previous 12 dealership i visited over the past weeks. I want to give thanks to Mr Alzonso and Shawn both managers and Oscar and Ms Tucker for your help and straightforward talk. The finance guy was a slight pause to the experience but it worked out, he tried to come at me at twice the APR but i assured him of the deal i had with Mr Alonso and he confirmed it and tried to come back me with a lower number and I still told him that's not the deal and again he confirms with Manager and finally we reach the number that was agreed upon, the finance guy needs to be more involved at the start of the negotiation to understand the final agreement with the sales manager. Folks set aside about 3 hours to complete your purchase, do your homework by asking for out-the-door numbers from multiple dealers, and find a sweet spot of number works for you and the dealer. Follow with your car insurance and see how much more that new car insurance goes up and ask your car insurance for their discount programs available, Save driving course, Drive App monitoring Discount, change your deductible premium from 500 to $1000, save that money. Again this deal work out for me in this case, I know its never be perfect for the next person, Im just speaking about how my deal went and i was satisfied and will return again if I need a new car.
