Purchasing a vehicle is not one of my favorite activities. I have experienced sales persons trying to pressure me into a sale, Sales Managers trying to adjust and present the total cost in differ activities. I have experienced sales persons trying to pressure me into a sale, Sales Managers trying to adjust and present the total cost in different methods to confuse the buyer. I have experienced this in the past from this dealership. That was years ago and this sale was totally different. The time I spend with Tony resulting in a no-pressure, relaxed purchasing experience. Tony answered my questions, allowed time to look, compared vehicles, and when it was time to negotiate for the total sales price he was professional and did not try to play games. We (my wife the negotiator) had Tony running back with a new counter proposal multiple of times without getting frustrated. He worked the sales hard and continued to keep his cool and humor. Even during the time when there was a small misunderstanding, he stayed professional and worked to ensure both the dealership and us remained pleased with the sale. Tony did a good job in explaining the various functions of the new vehicle, and on a follow up visit, he spent time with us to continue through the introduction phase. I was pleased with the sale, the experience, and been able to work with a professional like Tony. Purchased 2010 F-150 truck on October 1st, 2010. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially our sales rep, James. Since we came from out of town (150 miles), they fully understood that I did not want to was friendly and helpful, especially our sales rep, James. James listened to what I wanted/needed, all our questions were answered to our satisfaction, and we were able to work out a deal in about 2 hours. So far, they've delivered what they promised. I was looking for a Ford Fusion Hybrid, and thought about going to Northside Ford. I checked them out over their website and had entered some information there. Jason quickly contacted me and kept in touch going to Northside Ford. I checked them out over their website and had entered some information there. Jason quickly contacted me and kept in touch about once a week, while I shopped around for which model of the Fusion I wanted. One day, without notice, I walked in and was immediately greeted by folks there, and shown to Jason's office, whom was working later in the day, so I met up with Marty Martinez. Marty took over for Jason until Jason arrived later, so Marty and I went and did a test drive. The car has a lot of technical features, including the navigation system, satellite radio, the backup camera, SYNC, etc., and Marty went over some of the highlights of all the features. By then, Jason had come into work, and I got to meet him. I left shortly after. Once my finances were firmed up, which took a couple of weeks, I called to make an appointment with Jason and told him I was coming to buy a car. I was a few minutes early to my appointment, but Jason was there, ready to go. We went and picked out which car I wanted, did a once over to make sure everything was ok, and then went for a test drive on surface streets. We returned to the dealership to start the paperwork. The paperwork portion was the most pleasant I've experienced. We didn't talk price or haggle, but I went in with a set limit, which was below MSRP. I figured I'd have to haggle when the purchase order was drawn up, but the price on the purchase order was well below my limit. Jason then got the ball rolling on getting the car ready while I went over to settle up with the financial guy (sorry, don't remember his name, but he was very nice and respectful too), and then back to Jason's office for a detailed explanation of the manuals, the SYNC system, and then out to the car for hands on explanation of all the features of the car. Jason made sure that we got an antenna for the radio before letting me leave the lot. Jason, Marty, and others treated me with respect and professionalism which can be rare today. They were very patient with showing the car, especially on the day I showed up unannounced. Jason kept up in contact with me, not pressuring me to come in or anything like that, but just a friendly, "hey, we're still here when you want to come and look or buy cars." I look forward to giving Northside my business again in the future. More
This is the second vehicle that I have purchased from Northside Ford in the last 10 months. In December 2009 I purchased a 2010 Ford Focus. Northside Ford was recommended by USAA. The reason I purchased Northside Ford in the last 10 months. In December 2009 I purchased a 2010 Ford Focus. Northside Ford was recommended by USAA. The reason I purchased the Focus was price, dealer friendliness and the respect that was given to me and my wife. I purchased the 2010 F150 because of the service I received on the Focus. I've been back to Northside Ford on several occasions for routine maintenance. Each time the service staff was knowledgable, friendly, and very professional. For example during a recent storm the Focus picked up a nail in the drivers side front tire. I called the Ford 24-hour service help line. A truck came to my house in less than 30 minute and replaced the defective tire with the spare. The next morning I brought the bad tire to Northside Ford. The storm knocked out power to Northside Ford so they were not able to repair it immediately. I left the tire with the service department. Several hours later with power restored, I received a phone call at work to pick up the tire. Northside Ford placed the tire back on the Focus and tested the vehicle to ensure it was working properly. In July I began to think about replacing our 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan. I contacted Danny Armstrong during a visit to service the Focus. He showed me several options. During the next two months we exchanged emails and phone calls regarding the purchasing of a truck. Last week I met with Danny to test drive an F150. After discussing the vehicle with my wife, I returned to Northside Ford where Danny let me take an F150 home for an overnight test drive. I showed the F150 to several knowledgable friends. They told me the quality of the F150 was excellent and the price could not be beat. After my wife test drove the F150 we were convinced we wanted to purchase the truck. At no time did I feel any pressure to purchase either the F150 or other vehicle. My relationship with Mr Armstrong was professional from the start. Northside Ford beat the USAA and Edmunds recommended price for the F150. They gave me more money for my trade-in than I expected. To get one of the incentives we had to finance part of the F150 thru Ford Motor Credit Company. Normally this is an intimidating experience. Not so with Northside Ford. The credit manager walked us thru the process of completing the forms and submitting them over the Ford Intranet to Ford Motor Credit. In minutes the financing was approved. Northside Ford and their entire staff has my highest recommendation. More
