Of all the dealerships in the Austin/San Antonio area I found they were the most efficient and least "hard sell". They got me in and out quickly and the price I received for my Ford Fusion Hybrid was fair found they were the most efficient and least "hard sell". My one pet peeve was that they made my sign a form to consent to allowing my personal information to be used by them and their affiliates for marketing purposes. It seems that if I spend 31K+ to purchase a car from them, I should at least be given the option of opting out of the barrage of marketing emails. If I buy a $60 sweater from the gap I can easily opt out. They had asked that I email them if there was any reason I couldn't give them a five star review so I did email Freddie Anthony and David Starnes, twice in fact, about their policy on sharing of personal information. They never responded. Their receptionist said she would place me on their do-not-contact list but I am still being contacted. One other thing to watch out for is the "gap insurance" from their financing people. I received a very good rate for financing (make sure you don't agree to buy the car until they are very clear what the financing terms are that they will offer.) But they also wanted to sell me a $310 "gap insurance" policy. This essentially covers the difference between what I owe and what I would get reimbursed for if the car is in an accident. This difference is biggest in the first year of owning a vehicle and is probably not much more than $3000(and rapidly become negligent after the first year of making payments). This is very expensive insurance for what it is. Judging by the way the financing guy was pushing it and seemed visibly disappointed when I turned it down, it is a money maker for them. Avoid it if you can. More
I highly recommend Nortside Ford for servicing and repairing any Ford vehicle. My 2002 Ford Windstar required minor repairs to the headlight module, which "accidentlly" came off when backing out of m repairing any Ford vehicle. Nortside went out of their way to find after-market replacement parts, saving me signigicant repair costs. In addition, the existing headlight module lens was polished to match the new lens, and all work was completed within the promised time. We were contacted during the repairs to keep us informed on the expected completion of work, which helped with scheduling the vehicle pickup. Great job to the entire service team ar Nortside Ford! More
