Having made my initial inquiries into a known vehicle that was shown to be in stock, I received a quick response from Northside, and eventually, the following internet quote (shown below). Once I visited the dealer, test drove the thier truck, I decided to purchase. Then, on the signing table, I noticed that there were two dealer add-ons that were never mentioned, and the salesman gleamed at me to see if I would notice. They were $50 for nitrogenated tires (yes, they put nitrogen into the tires instead of air??) and $300+ for a security feature that was basically vehicle window etching of the VIN on the windows. These add-ons were never mentioned to me in the "final quote" and were obviously meant to be placed on the sales agreement hoping I would not notice, and thinking that most people will finance the vehicle and will not care about the few extra bucks. Well, I was a cash buyer who did care, and did not appreciate the way in which they handled what would have been an easy sale...I walked out and never returned, even after several emails/phone calls I received from Northside afterwards. I eventually made my purchase at Red McCombs Ford, Internet Sales...very honest and reputable..I highly recommend Alex Lind and his team. I believe a dealer should stand by their internet quotes just as if it were in writing...and stop wasting peoples time in their dealership with such cliché tactics! I felt like I was in a "back-woods country" dealership. No professionalism, courtesy or manners. They way they conduct business is like nothing I've ever seen or experienced before. Mr. Young did as I asked, and once my wife arrived at the show room, Mr. Young and I had the selection down to two trucks, (1) Blue / Gray Cloth and the other (2) White / Light Brown Leather. My wife brought our daughter, both looked at the blue one with Gray Cloth interior and said with out even getting in the truck, said NO! Next to it was the White Lariat with Leather, both of them ‘played fire drill, changing seats front and back’, smiled and said, “See you at home Dad”, and left. Mr. Young asked ‘Is there a problem?’ I said nope, we need to finish up the paper work; I don’t want to be late for dinner. I purchased the Lariat ‘we’ wanted.
