Beware of Mandatory Add-ons! (even for USED) I was shocked to find nearly $3,900 in non-negotiable add-ons tacked onto the price and this was for a used vehicle! These charges were presented as mandatory, including things like “Depreciation Protection” for $1,195, which sounds completely made up, all vehicles depreciate! This kind of markup strategy feels deceptive and predatory, especially when other Chevrolet dealerships don’t engage in this practice. It’s incredibly frustrating to see this level of price inflation used to take advantage of customers. If you value transparency and want to avoid being nickel-and-dimed, shop elsewhere. There are far better dealerships that don’t inflate prices with unnecessary extras just to pad their profit margins. More
My wife and I placed an order for a 2025 Tahoe z71, picked out all the options and placed a $1000 deposit with our credit card which was charged a processing fee which I know is common now and days. This was late March and during the past few months I had checked on Chevy.com and recently saw the truck had been built and delivered. I contacted our sales associate and he said truck had not been built yet. We went down to the dealer to speak with a manager just to find out they sold our Tahoe the day it was delivered to someone who just walked in. We asked for our deposit back and manager David Harvey said to come back Monday for a check. We are so disappointed in the whole situation. What good is a deposit on a custom order if they are just going to sell it to another client. We will not be doing business with any Northside dealer in the future. More

Took my 2021 chevy 1500 for transmission frailer on dec 16 2024 under factory warranty it took them 50 days to rebuilt my transmission. Apon receiving my truck i notice shudder on low speed call my service adviser Alex to report issue he said bring it back in for us to check it out after about 3 more weeks they said it was the upper and lower valve body and that the mechanic said it would take up to 1,000 miles to break in and that i would still notice the same shudder well over 1,000 miles later same problem when i called Alex back about the issue he said that now i was out of factory warranty i was like okay it was in warranty when i took it in and still not fixed he told me that General Motors would help with the cost of figuring out what was wrong with the transmission. Really now i would have to pay for something that should have been fixed the first time. never going back to North Star Chevrolet. Took it to Gunn Chevrolet in Schertz tx and they figure it out in one day luckily i have extended warranty but should have never had to use it if done right the first time. More

Disappointed with my experience at Northside Chevrolet. I spoke with a representative online and via text about a car I was interested in, and I was assured it would be ready when I arrived. However, the car wasn’t available, and I waited over an hour for it to be pulled up—only to find out I couldn’t even test drive it due to a low tire indicator. After spending $40 on Ubers and waiting over an hour, I left without even getting to drive the car. A complete waste of time. More
