Wanted a Mazda 6. I started at Quirk in Quincy, they had a decent price but then started playing games with the financing.. I then went to Ira. Ira beat the price that quirk had given me. I was going to fin a decent price but then started playing games with the financing.. I then went to Ira. Ira beat the price that quirk had given me. I was going to finance through my own credit Union, but somehow Ira was able to beat their rate. No game playing, no headaches.... Was driving home with a new car within a 1-2 hours... A very good experience... More
Went there and bought a Mazda 3.... I saw a ad in the paper for a really low price model, and thought for sure they would do a bait and switch... But when I got there I was able to buy the ad car... They paper for a really low price model, and thought for sure they would do a bait and switch... But when I got there I was able to buy the ad car... They tried to get me onto another car (more expensive), but in the end they agreed to sell me the ad car. A pretty painless experience.... Biggest headache is actually getting to the dealership, which is located off busy 144... More
My wife & I went in last friday looking at an 08.5 Mazda3. Initially we dealt with Scott who was friendly. We took a test drive but they didn't have a car in any of the colors we wanted with a moonroo Mazda3. Initially we dealt with Scott who was friendly. We took a test drive but they didn't have a car in any of the colors we wanted with a moonroof. He attempted to locate one for us but did not come up with much. We were frequently kept waiting, even when we were the last customers in the showroom! I was irked at this point but, we were willing to consider what they had in stock as they gave us a decent offer off in stock models (due to end of the month). When we spoke with Dave Tanger, we were offered 22% financing! I told him this was completely unnacceptable & he agreed. So, we resolved to obtain our own financing through our credit union. When it came down to bottom line price, I told them they were in the ballpark but that I was thinking a couple hundred dollars lower than their offer. He told me he would pass on the sale over $200!Dave was very rude & unprofessional & I would never do business with him even if he offered me the best price. As a result I bought my vehicle at Wellesley Mazda where i was treated very fairly and got the deal done in 1 day! In the end Ira lost a customer for life due to their arrogant attitude and poor customer service. When we went to pick up our car at Wellesley they thanked us for making them the top dealership in sales for the month; they sold 1 more car than Ira! More
I found a reasonable price listed on their website for the car we wanted. I had a great experience 7 or 8 years ago so I figured it was worth the drive. The salesman we dealt with was perfectly nice but u the car we wanted. I had a great experience 7 or 8 years ago so I figured it was worth the drive. The salesman we dealt with was perfectly nice but unable to make any decisions without going through Gary the sales manager. They low balled our trade, which I was expecting, and we told them thanks but no thanks. That was not a big deal, however in the days that followed we received numerous phone calls from them. Whenever I would make an offer they would be condescending and obnoxious. They also pulled the "whats the matter little lady, you cant make a decision for yourself" schtick with my wife, which was really obnoxious. Very high pressure and very sleazy with the attitude of "We're doing you a FAVOR by selling you a car". Avoid! More

Right after I walked into his office to enquire about leasing options, he went off on a rant to give me garbage information that made no difference to me as a buyer. He failed to listen and did not even know what questions I had before proceeding to give his 5 minute speech which was both degrading and arrogant !! I ended up buying a Mazda but swore never to return to Ira Mazda again. Dealing with Dave T was like dealing with the copybook USED CAR SALESMAN, we typically read about in articles. Don't deal with these arrogant salesmen, you have better options elsewhere for buying a Mazda !! More
They have a modus operandi on how to get you. Their rates are good, but only if you go through their own finance options, where they make their money. But they will not tell you that until the last moment wh are good, but only if you go through their own finance options, where they make their money. But they will not tell you that until the last moment when you hand them your check (from your bank or credit union) before you take the car. At that moment the manager will walk up to you and tell you that they have had bad experiences with the bank drafts in the past. By now they already have a copy of your license and all other info they need for a credit check, which they have done without your knowledge. So now they can offer you their finance options. So you have a choice to take the car after signing up with them or leave without one! Chances are, after getting this far in the process, you are now emotionally involved enough to sign up to what they offer as the financial option. BAD IDEA! More
Take my mazda 3 in for oil changes and for some other maintenance since I bought it there and it's close to where I work. They are very friendly in setting up the appointments and except for 1 occasio maintenance since I bought it there and it's close to where I work. They are very friendly in setting up the appointments and except for 1 occasion, they have been true to their word when it comes to time estimates. Brought it in a couple of times for an electrical issue that they couldn't recreate at first. After it happened a couple more times and malfunctioned entirely, I brought it in. They set me up with a rental which was pretty easy and simple. They fixed it in a day and I had my car back with no problems. You get coupons for service deals and they're good people to deal with so I don't mind bringing my car in there for service. I would recommend them for service. The prices are comparative, except for the mile interval service points (15,000, 30,000, etc). The alignments, parts, etc., are cheaper elsewhere (which they would be since this is a dealer) so I get that service done elsewhere, but that just comes down to price shopping. More
