I would NEVER recommend this dealership. Our sales person was nice but the rest of the process was absolutely terrible. Steve Bova in specifics was absolutely arrogant and disrespectful. We ended up driving the extra 40 mins to Ocean Subaru up in NH and they were able to match our deal & give us $1000 credit to make up for the terrible experience we had at North Reading! This was done all over the phone. When we picked up the vehicle it was all ready. The paperwork process took less than an hour and we had the keys to the new outback. Not to mention it came with a FREE car starter! Ocean Subaru is the best and showed us how awesome a car buying experience should be. I would never recommend North Reading after the 2 weeks of paper work xxxx they put us through and would go out of my way to tell people to avoid them. It's worth just taking the extra drive up to Ocean Subaru and deal with a staff that is diverse and down to earth! More

As a young person (on a tight budget), the purchase of my first brand new car was a bit nerve wracking, but Dwight made the decision to purchase a Subaru easy. He tracked down the exact model and color Forester that I was interested in, and bent over backwards to negotiate a deal that made this car affordable for me. Once I purchased the car, Dwight took care of the rest (Greg in financing was also very nice!) and got me in my car in less than a week. I couldn't be happier with my new Forester and it's all thanks to Dwight. If you're interested in getting into a Subaru - he's your guy! More
I went into North Reading Subaru having done my homework. I was determined to get the vehicle I wanted, equipped as I wanted, and at a good price --whether it was at this dealership or somewhere else. Dwight O'Hara really listed to me saying this and worked with me on that basis. While I test drove a similar vehicle from the lot, Dwight located an Outback that had exactly the equipment I wanted and nothing extra that I didn't. We arrived at a good price that checked out against the research I had done. I was pleased that there was not a lot of drama in this negotiation. My car arrived within 48 hours. The sale was completed smoothly and I drove away satisfied. More
I'm normally someone who is pretty distrusting of dealerships but North Reading Subaru really surprised me. Right off the bat, Dwight and Jason made me feel comfortable and treated me like a real pe dealerships but North Reading Subaru really surprised me. Right off the bat, Dwight and Jason made me feel comfortable and treated me like a real person instead of just a potential sale. Dwight listened to what I wanted and made it happen instead of pushing an in-stock car on me. I came away with the EXACT WRX I wanted with the color and options that I choose. The lack of pressure really made the whole experience a great one. Dwight really new the car and was more than happy to answer the myriad of questions I put forward with not only perfect patience but an unwavering pleasant attitude the entire time. Negotiations went smoothly and I came away with a price I was very happy with in the end. Even the extended warranty information was presenting in a very clear-cut "no pressure" manner by Steve who also took all of my questions in stride while clearly explaining various options. From Jason who first contacted me after I filled out a form on the website, to Dwight in Sales, and finally Steve everyone was up-front about every little detail and quite pleasant the whole time. When it came to paperwork, my bank and insurance company are awesome when it comes to protecting their customers. Unfortunately, this means they can be a PITA for 3rd parties (like a dealership) to deal with. Despite this, Dwight really went the extra mile co-coordinating it all and making it come together as smoothly and pleasantly as possible. When I was introduced to the service department, I saw something I don't think I've ever seen in a dealer service department before. People were genuinely happy! Smiling and laughing together while obviously very busy and getting things done. It was quite a contrast to the usual "I hate being here" demeanor I've seen in service departments at various dealerships in the past. Basically what it comes down to is this. North Reading Subaru clearly cares about Customer Service and keeping the customer happy instead of just landing quick sales. I always felt this was how dealerships should operate as it would promote repeat business and more revenue in the long run but most just don't seem to get that. As a result, I plan on taking my beloved new WRX here for all of it's service despite normally completely servicing my past vehicles myself. North Reading Subaru, keep this up and you'll definitely have my business going forward! More
I really enjoyed working with Fred and Shawn. They spent as much time as required -- without the high pressure that I often expect (and dislike). I was most impressed by not having to deal with aggressive "suggestions" or extended warranties or the like. And the car (a Suburu Imprezza) rides great. I would certainly recommend this dealership to anyone who asks. More
Had a great experience here. Can't say enough about Dwight; he was a great sales guy, down to earth, low-key, no xx, but very friendly and helpful. He was able to locate the car I wanted, have it in on time, and have all the paperwork and inspection ready when I came to pick it up. I'm not great at haggling, so I have no idea whether I could have gotten a little better price or not. But their prices were definitely competitive, and compared to the experience I had at another subaru dealership in the area a little south of these guys, it was night and day. Handled my trade-in great as well. Will def be going back there for service for my new Crosstrek. More
I had a great experience with North Reading Subaru. Dave Melkonian worked with me to insure that I selected the new Subaru that met my needs; including but not limited to a Subaru Legacy that met my requirements for interior color, exterior color, and desir the new Subaru that met my needs; including but not limited to a Subaru Legacy that met my requirements for interior color, exterior color, and desired features. He worked hard to get me a purchase price very close what I was expecting. When I picked up the car, David spent one hour going into great detail regarding the features of the Subaru Legacy. He answered all my questions no matter now simplistic or complicated they may have been. North Reading Subaru is 100% customer service oriented by insuring that the new car was cleaned, waxed, and I did not leave the dealership without a new MA State inspection sticker. My wife and I have purchased new vehicles several years ago where another dealership refused to make the effort to have the car inspected and rather put that onus on me. With time management critical, it is worth the wait to have the automobile inspected prior to leaving the dealership. We (my wife, my daughter, and I) have purchased three new Subaru Legacy automobiles from North Reading Subaru in the past year. I highly recommend North Reading Subaru and Dave Melkonian as the sales person. More
