Service Department I brought my 2010 Subaru Legacy for an oil change as I have always serviced it at the No. Reading Dealership in the past. The service department manager said an oil change is $59.99. The previous service manager never charged me this price. This is outrageous and I won't be bringing my car back there now that Annette Cross is not the service manager. She was a pleasure to deal with in the past five years. I won't be buying a new Subaru there either as there is a Subaru Dealer in Plaistow near where I live. I am disappointed in this dealership since we loved it for the past five years. Since when is a regular oil change $59.99? He said they did other things but my invoice showed a write up for just an oil change. The service manager said that oil went up. What a joke! I feel like a got a fair deal on a good car, and the dealership was attentive in facilitating all relevant details--right down to a lumbar support I inadvertently forgot to remove from my trade-in. I would definitely buy from them again. More

Did not want to deal with problems after sale DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE when buying a used car. They sold me a car with problems that cropped up almost immediately after driving off the lot. Tha DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE when buying a used car. They sold me a car with problems that cropped up almost immediately after driving off the lot. That happens - but worse, when I called to discuss next steps, Dave said he would "learn more and get back to me the next day" - he never called and did not answer my messages nor the 4 messages that the dealership mechanic left for him. (The car had approx 40,000 miles and could not be driven off the dealership lot without repair - liability safety issues, the wiring harness needed to be replaced.) I traveled from Maine to buy this used car and trusted the reviews I'd read that North Reading Subaru had great customer service and integrity - ABSOLUTELY NOT. I called to discuss the problems and safety issues, but Dave did not want to deal with it. He was immediately on the defensive rather than trying to collaborate on next steps. Being as I am quite a distance away, Dave simply gave lip service - he specifically promised to call me back in the morning after he had "spoken with his service department" and the dealership mechanic (Jim) that did not want me to drive the car out of the dealership lot due to safety liability issues. The next day, Jim and I left a total of 6 messages for him with absolutely no reply. I am completely disappointed and frustrated with North Reading Subaru. Dave has simply stopped communicating and I am left with no choice but to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau so that he will reply! I am looking into Massachusetts Consumer Affairs and Business regulations as well as the Lemon Law. North Reading Subaru did not have the integrity to work with me in figuring things out. They simply stonewalled me to avoid taking responsibility instead of collaborating to resolve the issue - whatever the correct path may have been. This will not be the only dissatisfied review that I write - I want to save others from having this experience with North Reading Subaru. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP!! They will not take responsibility for problems and in fact, will treat you with disrespect. They have NO INTEGRITY. Dave is not interested in doing the right thing - or even finding out what the right thing might be! He has no ethics and is rude, Dave will say and do anything to avoid culpability instead of truly finding out what is going on. Side issue : car was sold to me with an open recall 11-014 Check before buying, especially from North Reading Subaru!! Even better - DON"T BUY from North Reading Subaru More

So when the lease on my current Subaru was expiring I asked if I could return it to them instead of the place I leased it from and they said "absolutely!". Rui Coelho was a pleasure to work with. There was no pressure or uncomfortable sales pitches to deal with. Rui walked me through each step of turning in my car and leasing a brand new one. While I was with Steve Bova signing the paperwork (he was very helpful and organized), Rui took the car to be inspected and put on the new plates. He went through all of the cars features and answered all of my questions. He even set up bluetooth and downloaded the contacts from my iphone for me. Rui and North Reading Subaru exceeded my expectations! Thank you for the great service! More
