As owners of a 2003 WRX 5-door wagon who wanted to buy a WRX hatchback ASAP, we went to see and drive a 2012 WRX sedan at North Reading Subaru. We were reluctantly taken outside to see it and then told it w WRX hatchback ASAP, we went to see and drive a 2012 WRX sedan at North Reading Subaru. We were reluctantly taken outside to see it and then told it was dealer policy not to let anyone drive it. We thanked them and left. The next day we test drove and bought a WRX STI at another local Subaru dealership, where we found the service beyond excellent. In order to test drive the car, we happily gave them a refundable $300 deposit. After the drive, we bought the car. Based strictly on our sales and customer service experience, we would not recommend North Reading Subaru. Here's why: Good sales people greet customers when they walk into the show room. If they state that they want to replace their current Subaru with a new one ASAP, come over and engage with them. If they state that they're there to test drive a specific car and that's not your policy, tell them in the show room. Don't get the keys, walk them outside, and tell them they can't drive it. We LOVE our new WRX STI! More
We have been here a couple of times for service and in each case, they failed to fix the problem 1) either the first (or second) time we had to return after the initial service or 2) at all. As a past owner of multiple Subarus I had looked at test drive other cars before leaving the Subaru for last. Dave was eager to help take care of me and answered my questions but not in any pressured type o drive other cars before leaving the Subaru for last. After the the test drive I had told him initially that I probably wanted to now go home and assess and compare. Dave fully understood and was happy to allow me to do so without any pressure as did Dan. After chatting with them I knew it was the car I liked who I was dealing with so I went ahead with the purchase. the process was perfect, organized and car ready early when I asked for it. Overall a great car buying experience. More
I bought my first car at North Reading Subaru. I feel like I got a great value for the car, I was treated with respect, and everyone was very pleasant. I was going to get the 2012 impreza and Paul was the sales person I talked to, I am not sure if Paul just started to work there or anything else but he doesn't seems like knowing what the car will come sales person I talked to, I am not sure if Paul just started to work there or anything else but he doesn't seems like knowing what the car will come with and what kind of option I get out, every time I ask a question he had to go ask someone else to find out. Also I was ordering the car I want, he promised me that it will have the wheels I wanted on it with no additional cost, I didn't trust him since it didn't say it on the brochure therefore I had him write it down on the quote with his signature on it to protect myself. And obviously when the car came in, not only it didn't have the wheels that they promised but they denied that it is their responsibility even I took out the paper they signed, after back and forth with Paul for a while the sales manager Dan come in, told me that they are right and tell me to stop arguing with them and instead of trying to fix the problem he told me this is all I am going to get, either take it or leave it. I had never been treated this way, not even in Wal-mart and this should never happen in a dealer. I am very disappointed at the way they treat their customer when they told me that's the most important thing they care. I will never go back again and better yet there are other dealers that can give me a better deal and treat me how a customer should be. More
My car was making a horrible noise and I left a message on a Sunday that I wanted to bring it in on Monday to be serviced. I had never used North Reading before but needed to bring it to an authorized dea on a Sunday that I wanted to bring it in on Monday to be serviced. I had never used North Reading before but needed to bring it to an authorized dealer. Annette called me first thing Monday morning and recommended I tow it to the dealership. I arranged for it and met the car there. Unfortunately, while the car was waiting to be evaluated, someone in the parking lot hit it and did not leave any information. Though the dealership was not responsible, with Annette's help, they determined that I should not have to pay for the damage. I could not be more appreciative. As for the noise my car made, I thought the problem was major but it only turned out to be a tire improperly put on so that was fixed and at no cost to me. They could have told me anything and I would have not known the difference. I was very impressed with Annette's communication and caring. I have found a new dealership for my Subaru. More

The most impressive thing about North Reading Subaru is the way they treat their customers. Adam was my main point of contact when I went to buy my first car, and I found him to be a terrific guide and re the way they treat their customers. Adam was my main point of contact when I went to buy my first car, and I found him to be a terrific guide and resource throughout the process. He was generous with his time and patiently explained everything I would need to know about owning and using my car, including an hourlong exploration of all the car's features when I picked it up. Likewise, Steve, Danny, and Mike showed a great willingness to describe in detail the fees, warranties, options, insurance information... everything I needed to know, no hurry at all. Clearly, North Reading Subaru is a dealership that places a premium on earning repeat business - they've earned mine. More
