They withhold information...like who is shipping the car you own/just bought. Hook you in with price..but after that downhill...miss promised timelines repeatedly. I'm VERY skeptical of car dealerships - we all know the stereotypes. North Point Volvo is a total exception. I bought a 2004 V70XC Wagon from a lovely gentleman named Tom Karwoski. After negotiation, I was given a bottom-line, drive-out price, which was never altered - I paid exactly what I expected. I called Tom a couple of days after and asked for a copy of all the service recordsmy car from it's pre-sale inspection & shape-up. The dealership had done a oil change, and installed all new battery, struts and brake pads, just beforing putting it on the lot. Tom didn't even mention this when selling the car to me - it was just a happy accident I found out after I bought the car ( & later confirmed this with my mechanic that this was all done). The entire transaction was a pleasure. This is not your average shim-sham dealership. More

Tom Kingel made the purchase of my 2007 S80 V8 very easy, and I recommend him to friends since he is very knowledgeable about Volvos. We went to this dealership looking for a particular vehicle at a particular price. Ross was very helpful and professional answering any questions we had. He even made some recommendations of other dealerships to try and some to stay way from. THIS is an AMAZING dealership! I have never experienced car buying at such a level and I have bought many vehicles! Instead of a grueling experience that takes hours, I picked out the car online, called, made a deal on the phone (subject to test drive, of course)...And when I arrived I saw an absolutely beautiful vehicle parked under their showroom...I said to my husband..I wish THAT was the one I was getting..it was gorgeous...and you know what...IT WAS! I never expected the vehicle to be in such supurb condition. The price was right and we didnt have the usual banter "show" between salesperson and manager..."trying to make a deal"... All the paperwork was completed before we arrived, tag was on the car...the LONGEST part of the transaction was the test drive and stop for coffee at Caribou Coffee! This is the FIRST time we have left a dealership not feeling that we had been taken advantage of. I simply can't say enough good things about the dealership, the vehicle (zippy little five speed drives like a dream and was beyond clean), and the staff that we encountered at North Point Volvo!
