I bought a Subaru Impreza in late July and with in two weeks it stated to make a knocking sound when I braked. I called North Park Chevrolet and they told me to bring it in and that they would look at it weeks it stated to make a knocking sound when I braked. I called North Park Chevrolet and they told me to bring it in and that they would look at it. I was told about a week and a half later that they could not find anything wrong with the car and that they tightened up everything up for me. I picked the car up and for about 24 hours it was noice free. The next day the noice came back and it was even worse than before. I called Joe our salesman and he told me to bring it back. I was lent a car while they were to check on mine. About a month later Joe told me that they were not going to fix it, so I went in to talk to them. I met Damien in service and he told me "that wan not the case" he said that they were waiting for approval from sales to purchase the parts to fix it, so I went home. Three weeks later I started to call them again to see what was taking so long and they told me that the parts they ordered were the wrong size and that the right ones were more expensive and they had to get approval again. About a month later I started to call them but Damien would not answer the phone. I left about 5 messages each with an increasing frustrating tone. I finally got a call from Damien and he told told me that the parts were not approved and that the dealership would not fix the car to come and get it. I considered getting a lawyer but did not want to get into all of that hassle. I took the car for a diagnostic at a licensed Subaru dealership and they told me that they car had several repairs needed for not only the noice but several oil leaks. All adding up to about 6000 dollars. In all North Park had my car for about 3 months and finally did not end up fixing it. To make matters worse they sold me a lemon. I should have seen through the "act" right away and not bought it. The salesman pushed the car on us telling us that there was a lot of other people wanting to look at it. A second saleslady came in and also told us that we had to make the decision right away. I know that I was taken advantage of but as of now I have not decided whether I am going to take further legal action. All I know is that you reap what you sow. Finally while they were telling me that they were not going to fix my car, Joe was trying to sell me another one. More

Worst Car buying experience ever! On Saturday, 20 April 2024 I purchased a 2019 Honda Fit from North Park Chevy in Castroville. I emailed them to see if the car was still available On Saturday, 20 April 2024 I purchased a 2019 Honda Fit from North Park Chevy in Castroville. I emailed them to see if the car was still available and was told it was. An appointment was made with Steve. We looked over the car and did the test drive and trade appraisal, no problems with either. Then I was told that the car would not be able to be delivered that day, even though Steve came back from make ready to tell me I’m at the front of the line (being a Saturday, I don't think there was a line). As the car only had 1 key fob. I told him I needed another key; he went to talk to the sales manager and said that they would not make another key. So, on to Lorna in finance. The usual finance process, she “offered” me extended warranties. Since I was financing this car, I asked what the warranty was per month. Made few keyboard clicks and stated about $20 per month. Since the loan was 60 months, that works out to be $1200 for the extended warranty, I thought not bad. While this was going on the salesman, kept telling no key and I’m at the front of the line for make ready. I signed all the papers, which is a rushed ordeal. When I got home and had time to read the document, I found that the extended warranties were approximately $3200. Also, my cost for a 2nd key would be close to $200. I decided to cancel the whole deal since I had not been able to take possession of the car. I talked to Steve and he said let him work on it. If I could get the warranties cancelled for no cost and get the 2nd key would I proceed. I said I would. He came back and said since the finance was already done, we would get refunds they would be forwarded to the lender and I agreed to that and as far as a 2nd key goes the dealership would still not take care of it, but he would and a locksmith would contact me. Of course no one did. BTW the car was not made ready until Friday, as they had to order a part to clear a recall, sounded reasonable. I went back to the dealership to sign the papers for cancellation of the warranties and Lorna said it will take 4-6 weeks. It took more than for the main warranty, which the lender finally received (2682) on June 7. Still no refund on the wheel and tire warranty. I checked with the warranty company today and they said they never received the cancellation from the dealer. I filled out the form and they said they would take care of it. I assume since the cancellation is effective today, 1 July, it will be prorated thanks to the dealer failure to submit the 2nd form I signed. BTW I am a SENIOR CITIZEN (70++) and a Retired DISABLED VET. I guess North Park Chevy and the Vaughn ownership group need the money more than I do. In all my years of buying cars, this is the worst.
