Does not support warranties I had a part get damaged caused by defect not of my doing. This after the service department claimed it clearly represented corporate Honda. The service department attempted to dispose of evidence of my claim. They threw away the damaged section of the part which showed my assertions were supported by clear evidence. Puzzling again, the kept the large undamaged plastic/nylon section of the splash guard, but claimed they "threw away" the damaged section. It took me demanding from the service department several times to give me the part back before the Service Manager finally retrieved it. Once retrieved, I was able to clearly show, with substantial physical evidence in the form of the damaged part, that the service departments assertion of how the part got damaged simply could not have happened without suspending the laws of physics. In the end, the service departments counter supporting evidence consisted of "we see it all the time". No discussion, no simple demonstration showing at least some plausibility of their assertion, just we see it all the time. Next, they told me if I wanted to pursue the matter my only course was to open a case with corporate Honda, which is puzzling, because they took pains to make sure I understood they represent corporate Honda. In the end, I ended up paying for a repair on damage that was demonstratively a warranty issue. To help my case let me state for the record, I have owned (6) Honda's and loved them so it pains me that I have to choose never to buy or recommend a Honda ever again. Call it an individual dealer issue, corporate issue, doesn't matter. Honda used to be the premier car maker that stood behind their cars and warranties, but as my issue has shown, I guess those days are gone. As much as I love my Honda Civic and want to recommend everyone get one, Honda, or this dealer (you choose), have acted in bad faith in support of their products which is a deal breaker for me. Edit: My response to the dealers response: Really, no kidding, yellow marks indicating an impact, that was never in debate. What is in debate is how an object with yellow paint (probably a speed bump) reached up through the plastic splash guard without damaging it, hooked the aluminum heat shield that is actually fastened inside the splash guard, and bent it down and back towards the back of the car. Hence my comment, the dealers explanation defies physics. By the service departments own admission, nothing, zero, nada, was damaged except the heat shield. The way it is damaged does not support the suspension of the laws of physics theory. It does though support the theory that the heat shield might have been protruding for some reason lower than designed further decreasing clearance, and allowing a protrusion or object that would normally pass under the car with no problem to now to have an angle to snag the edge of the heat shield and bend it down (away from the engine) and back. Physics and reason and evidence in the form of the damaged heat shield clearly support this.. Think about it, if an impact were to occur on a properly functioning splash guard/heat shield assembly, the damage would have been in the form of shoving the heat shield upward and back into the engine/oil pan/ engine comparmtment, not down and away like a taco. Bending and crushing it down and away requires snagging the edge of the guard and pulling down, and if the service departments assertion is to be believed, the impact would have had to smash the plastic part of the guard to above the heat shield in order to pull it down and away. Again sorry, defies physics. Additionally, I believe that the service department tried to hide this fact by throwing out the heat shield which firmly supports my assertion. The fact that when I requested the return of the old part, the service department gave me the plastic splash guard, but claimed they threw the heat shield away. Puzzling since I was forced to buy the entire assembly because Honda claims they are one part. To aggravate the situation, when I demanded the return of the damaged heat shield, the service department refused, but did say I, a customer, was welcome to rummage in the dealerships garbage and retieve it myself. Really? Is this the quality of service your dealership wants to be associated with? It was only after persistent requests and demands that the Service Manager retrieved the heat shield. What was really puzzling was that it only took him a few minutes. Either the man is talented beyond belief so that he can get around the entire building, climb into a dumpster, rummage aroung, find the part, climb out, and rcome all the way back in just a few minutes? Amazing! Or what is most likely, the service department was trying to avoid returning the part, but when my demands became too much, it was easily retrieved from just a few feet away in the service bays. As stated, very suspicious behavior. Refusing a warranty repair then trying to dispose of the supporting evidence. To whomever responded to my review, if you really want to stay in business for a long period of time, you might consider looking inwards towards your own management skills and service staff. They have alreeady cost you one loyal customer (myself), how many more losses will it take before you look to solve the problem rather than blame it on the customer. In other words per my original review, I provided ample solid evidence that my assertions were true, your service department did not. They tried to hide evidence, then only supported their claim with what amounts to "because we said so" I have no illusions, I am just a small drop in the giant Honda customer bucket. Its very likely Honda will not care they have lost me as a customer. Its obvious by my treatment by this dealership and their response to my issue and this review that they could care less. With that in mind: any reasonable person would ask, why bother contacting corporate? So Honda can say "oh so sorry, here have 10 % off an oil change". No, I vote with my patronage. I would state again how sorry I am that this is happening, I loved Honda's with this being the 6th one I owned. I just cannot condone lack of deserved support and shady tactics and am forced to move on. North Corpus Christi Honda caring, probably not, oh well. V/r More

Professionalism coupled with Courtesy We came in for a timing belt recall and the Car Butler service. Gilbert was more than willing to have it taken care of ASAP, which he did. Luckily it was not one of the recalled Hondas and our car was nice and clean and we were back on the road again proud and confident. Gilbert made sure of that. Angel took time out of his busy schedule to personally give us a ride home while our Honda was being serviced and made us feel comfortable our recall would not be as bad as it sounds. He was right. This dynamic duo, which is why I titled this Professionalism coupled with Courtesy you can't find that anywhere else but here. More
