North Central Ford responded

I regret that you have any ill feelings regarding your purchase. When we made this transaction on May 22, 2012, it was with an agreement that you would stop by the following day with a check for the balance of $290 because you did not have a check with you at the time. More than a week passed without payment. Our Finance Director asked for the payment over the phone on May 30th because we had to financially complete the transaction before the month end accounting close out. She offered a return of the vehicle (in exchange for your trade vehicle) to you if the financial obligation could not be met - we weren't "threatening a repo", as we are not a bank. We understand your time is valuable, but please understand we do require payment.
