As responsible parents we have no problem investing in the safety and reliability of our 2004 Beetle which our daughter took to college (UC Irvine). Based on our most recent visit to our local Northern C the safety and reliability of our 2004 Beetle which our daughter took to college (UC Irvine). Based on our most recent visit to our local Northern California Volkswagen dealer (during the University winter break), they recommended some additional service – specifically some work on the rear brakes. The work was completed in time to return to school; however, during the trip back down to Southern California, my wife and daughter noticed a clicking sound from the rear and upon further inspection found the brake cables hanging loose and flapping around. Needless to say, it was pretty disappointing to have the service just completed and now being stuck in Southern California with car issues as school begins when the entire idea was to ensure our daughter was safe and not burdened by transportation issues. This is actually the second time we have had work performed in Northern California that was corrected at Fladeboe. Not knowing what to do with brake cables hanging down and rubbing on the tire, my wife called Fladeboe and spoke with Thomas Brucks. Our Service Advisor (Thomas Brucks) wasn’t only professional and courteous, but actually built a rapport with my family that made my wife and daughter feel comfortable and relieved. After all, it is about building relationships and it all started with Thomas. As I type this out I realize it was Thomas that made all the difference. This situation had the potential to reduce my confidence in Volkswagen, although I know this was purely a service situation and none of their own, however, thanks to Thomas I am now writing a message of thanks verses fuming about our Northern California service. When someone has the ability to completely change another’s perspective and in this case make it positive – this is the service that most companies strive for constantly but never seem to achieve, but Thomas and Fladeboe delivered. I want to thank Thomas for taking care of my family and making them feel comfortable. The exceptional quality of service you have provided not only made our day but helped Fladeboe secure a customer – you really can and do make a difference to your customers. I bought my 2010 VW CC two years ago and it was time for the annual service. I spoke with Tom Brucks and made an appointment for December 22nd at 2:00 pm. In a little less time than that, he located me in the service area and showed me the service paperwork and explained what the findings were (brakes and tire wear). Having your vehicle serviced at a dealership can be stressful, however, Tom Brucks and the crew at Fladeboe have always exceeded my expectations.
